제 8 장
생명의 성령의 법
1 그러므로 이제 그리스도 예수 안에 있는 자에게는 결코 정죄함이 없나니
2 이는 그리스도 예수 안에 있는 생명의 성령의 법이 죄와 사망의 법에서 너를 해방하였음이라
3 율법이 육신으로 말미암아 연약하여 할 수 없는 그것을 하나님은 하시나니 곧 죄로 말미암아 자기 아들을 죄 있는 육신의 모양으로 보내어 육신에 죄를 정하사
4 육신을 따르지 않고 그 영을 따라 행하는 우리에게 율법의 요구가 이루어지게 하려 하심이니라
5 육신을 따르는 자는 육신의 일을, 영을 따르는 자는 영의 일을 생각하나니
6 육신의 생각은 사망이요 영의 생각은 생명과 평안이니라
7 육신의 생각은 하나님과 원수가 되나니 이는 하나님의 법에 굴복하지 아니할 뿐 아니라 할 수도 없음이라
8 육신에 있는 자들은 하나님을 기쁘시게 할 수 없느니라
9 만일 너희 속에 하나님의 영이 거하시면 너희가 육신에 있지 아니하고 영에 있나니 누구든지 그리스도의 영이 없으면 그리스도의 사람이 아니라
10 또 그리스도께서 너희 안에 계시면 몸은 죄로 말미암아 죽은 것이나 영은 의로 말미암아 살아 있는 것이니라
11 예수를 죽은 자 가운데서 살리신 이의 영이 너희 안에 거하시면 그리스도 예수를 죽은 자 가운데서 살리신 이가 너희 안에 거하시는 그의 영으로 말미암아 너희 죽을 몸도 살리시리라
12 그러므로 형제들아 우리가 빚진 자로되 육신에게 져서 육신대로 살 것이 아니니라
13 너희가 육신대로 살면 반드시 죽을 것이로되 영으로써 몸의 행실을 죽이면 살리니
14 무릇 하나님의 영으로 인도함을 받는 사람은 곧 하나님의 아들이라
15 너희는 다시 무서워하는 종의 영을 받지 아니하고 양자의 영을 받았으므로 우리가 아빠 아버지라고 부르짖느니라
16 성령이 친히 우리의 영과 더불어 우리가 하나님의 자녀인 것을 증언하시나니
17 자녀이면 또한 상속자 곧 하나님의 상속자요 그리스도와 함께 한 상속자니 우리가 그와 함께 영광을 받기 위하여 고난도 함께 받아야 할 것이니라
모든 피조물이 구원을 고대하다
18 생각하건대 현재의 고난은 장차 우리에게 나타날 영광과 비교할 수 없도다
19 피조물이 고대하는 바는 하나님의 아들들이 나타나는 것이니
20 피조물이 허무한 데 굴복하는 것은 자기 뜻이 아니요 오직 굴복하게 하시는 이로 말미암음이라
21 그 바라는 것은 피조물도 썩어짐의 종 노릇 한 데서 해방되어 하나님의 자녀들의 영광의 자유에 이르는 것이니라
22 피조물이 다 이제까지 함께 탄식하며 함께 고통을 겪고 있는 것을 우리가 아느니라
23 그뿐 아니라 또한 우리 곧 성령의 처음 익은 열매를 받은 우리까지도 속으로 탄식하여 양자 될 것 곧 우리 몸의 속량을 기다리느니라
24 우리가 소망으로 구원을 얻었으매 보이는 소망이 소망이 아니니 보는 것을 누가 바라리요
25 만일 우리가 보지 못하는 것을 바라면 참음으로 기다릴지니라
26 이와 같이 성령도 우리의 연약함을 도우시나니 우리는 마땅히 기도할 바를 알지 못하나 오직 성령이 말할 수 없는 탄식으로 우리를 위하여 친히 간구하시느니라
27 마음을 살피시는 이가 성령의 생각을 아시나니 이는 성령이 하나님의 뜻대로 성도를 위하여 간구하심이니라
28 우리가 알거니와 하나님을 사랑하는 자 곧 그의 뜻대로 부르심을 입은 자들에게는 모든 것이 합력하여 선을 이루느니라
29 하나님이 미리 아신 자들을 또한 그 아들의 형상을 본받게 하기 위하여 미리 정하셨으니 이는 그로 많은 형제 중에서 맏아들이 되게 하려 하심이니라
30 또 미리 정하신 그들을 또한 부르시고 부르신 그들을 또한 의롭다 하시고 의롭다 하신 그들을 또한 영화롭게 하셨느니라
그리스도의 사랑 하나님의 사랑
31 그런즉 이 일에 대하여 우리가 무슨 말 하리요 만일 하나님이 우리를 위하시면 누가 우리를 대적하리요
32 자기 아들을 아끼지 아니하시고 우리 모든 사람을 위하여 내주신 이가 어찌 그 아들과 함께 모든 것을 우리에게 주시지 아니하겠느냐
33 누가 능히 하나님께서 택하신 자들을 고발하리요 의롭다 하신 이는 하나님이시니
34 누가 정죄하리요 죽으실 뿐 아니라 다시 살아나신 이는 그리스도 예수시니 그는 하나님 우편에 계신 자요 우리를 위하여 간구하시는 자시니라
35 누가 우리를 그리스도의 사랑에서 끊으리요 환난이나 곤고나 박해나 기근이나 적신이나 위험이나 칼이랴
36 기록된 바 우리가 종일 주를 위하여 죽임을 당하게 되며 도살 당할 양 같이 여김을 받았나이다 함과 같으니라
37 그러나 이 모든 일에 우리를 사랑하시는 이로 말미암아 우리가 넉넉히 이기느니라
38 내가 확신하노니 사망이나 생명이나 천사들이나 권세자들이나 현재 일이나 장래 일이나 능력이나
39 높음이나 깊음이나 다른 어떤 피조물이라도 우리를 우리 주 그리스도 예수 안에 있는 하나님의 사랑에서 끊을 수 없으리라
CAPÍTULO 8
La ley de Cristo trae vida y paz — Los que son adoptados como hijos de Dios llegan a ser coherederos con Cristo — Los escogidos de Dios son preordenados para vida eterna — Cristo intercede por el hombre.
1 Ahora, pues, ninguna condenación hay para los que están en Cristo Jesús, los que no andan conforme a la carne, sino conforme al espíritu.
2 Porque la ley del Espíritu de vida en Cristo Jesús me ha librado de la ley del pecado y de la muerte.
3 Porque lo que era imposible para la ley, por cuanto era débil por la carne, Dios, enviando a su Hijo en semejanza de carne de pecado, y a causa del pecado, condenó al pecado en la carne,
4 para que la justicia de la ley fuese cumplida en nosotros, que no andamos conforme a la carne, sino conforme al espíritu.
5 Porque los que viven conforme a la carne, en las cosas que son de la carne se ocupan; pero los que viven conforme al espíritu, en las cosas del espíritu.
6 Porque el ánimo carnal es muerte, pero el ánimo espiritual es vida y paz.
7 Por cuanto la inclinación de la carne es enemistad contra Dios, porque no se sujeta a la ley de Dios, ni tampoco puede.
8 Así que, los que viven según la carne no pueden agradar a Dios.
9 Pero vosotros no vivís según la carne, sino según el espíritu, si es que el Espíritu de Dios mora en vosotros. Y si alguno no tiene el Espíritu de Cristo, no es de él.
10 Y si Cristo está en vosotros, el cuerpo a la verdad está muerto a causa del pecado, pero el Espíritu es vida a causa de la justicia.
11 Y si el Espíritu de aquel que levantó de los muertos a Jesús mora en vosotros, el que levantó a Cristo Jesús de los muertos vivificará también vuestros cuerpos mortales por su Espíritu que mora en vosotros.
12 Así que, hermanos, deudores somos, no a la carne, para que vivamos conforme a la carne,
13 porque si vivís conforme a la carne, moriréis; pero si por el espíritu hacéis morir las obras de la carne, viviréis.
14 Porque todos los que son guiados por el Espíritu de Dios, son hijos de Dios.
15 Porque no habéis recibido el espíritu de servidumbre para estar otra vez en temor, sino que habéis recibido el espíritu de adopción, por el cual clamamos: ¡Abba, Padre!
16 Porque el Espíritu mismo da testimonio a nuestro espíritu de que somos hijos de Dios.
17 Y si hijos, también herederos; herederos de Dios, y coherederos con Cristo, si es que padecemos juntamente con él, para que juntamente con él seamos glorificados.
18 Porque considero que los sufrimientos de este tiempo no son dignos de ser comparados con la gloria venidera que en nosotros ha de ser manifestada.
19 Porque el anhelo profundo de la creación es el esperar la manifestación de los hijos de Dios.
20 Porque la creación fue sujetada a la vanidad, no de buen grado, sino por causa del que la sujetó en esperanza,
21 porque también la creación misma será librada de la servidumbre de la corrupción a la libertad gloriosa de los hijos de Dios.
22 Porque sabemos que toda la creación gime a una, y a una sufre dolores de parto hasta ahora.
23 Y no solo ella, sino que también nosotros mismos, que tenemos las primicias del Espíritu, nosotros también gemimos dentro de nosotros mismos, esperando la adopción, a saber, la redención de nuestro cuerpo.
24 Porque en esperanza fuimos salvos; pero la esperanza que se ve, ya no es esperanza, porque lo que se ve, ¿para qué esperarlo?
25 Pero si esperamos lo que no vemos, con paciencia lo esperamos.
26 Y asimismo, también el Espíritu nos ayuda en nuestra debilidad, porque no sabemos lo que hemos de pedir como es debido, pero el Espíritu mismo intercede por nosotros con gemidos indecibles.
27 Pero el que escudriña los corazones sabe cuál es la intención del Espíritu, porque él, conforme a la voluntad de Dios, intercede por los santos.
28 Y sabemos que para los que aman a Dios, todas las cosas obrarán juntamente para su bien, para los que conforme a su propósito son llamados.
29 Porque a los que antes conoció, también predestinó para que fuesen hechos conforme a la imagen de su Hijo, a fin de que él sea el primogénito entre muchos hermanos;
30 y a los que predestinó, a estos también llamó; y a los que llamó, a estos también justificó; y a los que justificó, a estos también glorificó.
31 ¿Pues qué diremos a esto? Si Dios es por nosotros, ¿quién contra nosotros?
32 El que no escatimó ni a su propio Hijo, sino que le entregó por todos nosotros, ¿cómo no nos dará también con él todas las cosas?
33 ¿Quién acusará a los escogidos de Dios? Dios es el que justifica.
34 ¿Quién es el que condenará? Cristo es el que murió; más aun, el que también resucitó, quien además está a la diestra de Dios, el que también intercede por nosotros.
35 ¿Quién nos apartará del amor de Cristo? ¿Tribulación, o angustia, o persecución, o hambre, o desnudez, o peligro, o espada?
36Como está escrito:Por causa de ti somos muertos todo el tiempo;somos considerados como ovejas de matadero.
37 Antes bien, en todas estas cosas somos más que vencedores por medio de aquel que nos amó.
38 Por lo cual estoy convencido de que ni la muerte, ni la vida, ni ángeles, ni principados, ni potestades, ni lo presente, ni lo por venir,
39 ni lo alto, ni lo profundo, ni ninguna otra cosa creada nos podrá apartar del amor de Dios, que es en Cristo Jesús, Señor nuestro.
CHAPTER 8
The law of Christ brings life and peace—Those adopted as children of God become joint heirs with Christ—God’s elect are foreordained to eternal life—Christ makes intercession for man.
1 There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.
2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.
3 For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh:
4 That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.
5 For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit.
6 For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.
7 Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.
8 So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God.
9 But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.
10 And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness.
11 But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.
12 Therefore, brethren, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live after the flesh.
13 For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live.
14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.
15 For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.
16 The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God:
17 And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.
18 For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.
19 For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God.
20 For the creature was made subject to vanity, not willingly, but by reason of him who hath subjected the same in hope,
21 Because the creature itself also shall be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God.
22 For we know that the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain together until now.
23 And not only they, but ourselves also, which have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption, to wit, the redemption of our body.
24 For we are saved by hope: but hope that is seen is not hope: for what a man seeth, why doth he yet hope for?
25 But if we hope for that we see not, then do we with patience wait for it.
26 Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.
27 And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God.
28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
29 For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.
30 Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified.
31 What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?
32 He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?
33 Who shall lay any thing to the charge of God’s elect? It is God that justifieth.
34 Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us.
35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?
36 As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.
37 Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.
38 For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,
39 Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
