제 12 장
하나님의 뜻을 분별하는 새 생활
1 그러므로 형제들아 내가 하나님의 모든 자비하심으로 너희를 권하노니 너희 몸을 하나님이 기뻐하시는 거룩한 산 제물로 드리라 이는 너희가 드릴 영적 예배니라
2 너희는 이 세대를 본받지 말고 오직 마음을 새롭게 함으로 변화를 받아 하나님의 선하시고 기뻐하시고 온전하신 뜻이 무엇인지 분별하도록 하라
3 내게 주신 은혜로 말미암아 너희 각 사람에게 말하노니 마땅히 생각할 그 이상의 생각을 품지 말고 오직 하나님께서 각 사람에게 나누어 주신 믿음의 분량대로 지혜롭게 생각하라
4 우리가 한 몸에 많은 지체를 가졌으나 모든 지체가 같은 기능을 가진 것이 아니니
5 이와 같이 우리 많은 사람이 그리스도 안에서 한 몸이 되어 서로 지체가 되었느니라
6 우리에게 주신 은혜대로 받은 은사가 각각 다르니 혹 예언이면 믿음의 분수대로,
7 혹 섬기는 일이면 섬기는 일로, 혹 가르치는 자면 가르치는 일로,
8 혹 위로하는 자면 위로하는 일로, 구제하는 자는 성실함으로, 다스리는 자는 부지런함으로, 긍휼을 베푸는 자는 즐거움으로 할 것이니라
9 사랑에는 거짓이 없나니 악을 미워하고 선에 속하라
10 형제를 사랑하여 서로 우애하고 존경하기를 서로 먼저 하며
11 부지런하여 게으르지 말고 열심을 품고 주를 섬기라
12 소망 중에 즐거워하며 환난 중에 참으며 기도에 항상 힘쓰며
13 성도들의 쓸 것을 공급하며 손 대접하기를 힘쓰라
그리스도인의 생활
14 너희를 박해하는 자를 축복하라 축복하고 저주하지 말라
15 즐거워하는 자들과 함께 즐거워하고 우는 자들과 함께 울라
16 서로 마음을 같이하며 높은 데 마음을 두지 말고 도리어 낮은 데 처하며 스스로 지혜 있는 체 하지 말라
17 아무에게도 악을 악으로 갚지 말고 모든 사람 앞에서 선한 일을 도모하라
18 할 수 있거든 너희로서는 모든 사람과 더불어 화목하라
19 내 사랑하는 자들아 너희가 친히 원수를 갚지 말고 하나님의 진노하심에 맡기라 기록되었으되 원수 갚는 것이 내게 있으니 내가 갚으리라고 주께서 말씀하시니라
20 네 원수가 주리거든 먹이고 목마르거든 마시게 하라 그리함으로 네가 숯불을 그 머리에 쌓아 놓으리라
21 악에게 지지 말고 선으로 악을 이기라
CAPÍTULO 12
Pablo aconseja a los santos que presenten sus cuerpos como sacrificio vivo, que usen sus propios dones dados por gracia y que vivan como deben vivir los santos.
1 Así que, hermanos, os ruego por las misericordias de Dios, que presentéis vuestros cuerpos en sacrificio vivo, santo, agradable a Dios, que es vuestro servicio razonable.
2 Y no os adaptéis a este mundo, sino transformaos por medio de la renovación de vuestro entendimiento, para que comprobéis cuál es la buena voluntad de Dios, agradable y perfecta.
3 Digo, pues, por la gracia que me es dada, a cada cual que está entre vosotros, que no tenga más alto concepto de sí que el que debe tener, sino que piense de sí con cordura, conforme a la medida de la fe que Dios repartió a cada uno.
4 Porque de la manera que en un solo cuerpo tenemos muchos miembros, pero no todos los miembros tienen la misma función,
5 así nosotros, siendo muchos, somos un solo cuerpo en Cristo, y todos miembros los unos de los otros.
6 De manera que, teniendo diferentes dones, según la gracia que nos es dada, si el de profecía, úsese conforme a la medida de la fe;
7 o si de servicio, en servir; o el que enseña, en la enseñanza;
8 el que exhorta, en la exhortación; el que reparte, hágalo con sencillez; el que preside, con diligencia; el que hace misericordia, con alegría.
9 El amor sea sin fingimiento; aborreced lo malo, allegaos a lo bueno;
10 amaos los unos a los otros con caridad fraternal, prefiriéndoos con honra los unos a los otros;
11 en lo que requiere diligencia, no perezosos; fervientes en espíritu, sirviendo al Señor;
12 gozosos en la esperanza; sufridos en la tribulación; constantes en la oración;
13 compartiendo para las necesidades de los santos; practicando la hospitalidad.
14 Bendecid a los que os persiguen; bendecid, y no maldigáis.
15 Gozaos con los que se gozan; llorad con los que lloran.
16 Unánimes entre vosotros; no altivos, sino asociándoos con los humildes. No seáis sabios en vuestra propia opinión.
17 No paguéis a nadie mal por mal; procurad lo bueno delante de todos los hombres.
18 Si es posible, en cuanto dependa de vosotros, tened paz con todos los hombres.
19 No os venguéis vosotros mismos, amados míos; sino dejad lugar a la ira de Dios, porque escrito está: Mía es la venganza, yo pagaré, dice el Señor.
20 Así que, si tu enemigo tuviere hambre, dale de comer; si tuviere sed, dale de beber; porque haciendo esto, ascuas de fuego amontonarás sobre su cabeza.
21 No seas vencido por el mal, sino vence el mal con el bien.
CHAPTER 12
Paul counsels the Saints to present their bodies as a living sacrifice, to use their own grace-given gifts, and to live as Saints should live.
1 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.
2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
3 For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith.
4 For as we have many members in one body, and all members have not the same office:
5 So we, being many, are one body in Christ, and every one members one of another.
6 Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, whether prophecy, let us prophesy according to the proportion of faith;
7 Or ministry, let us wait on our ministering: or he that teacheth, on teaching;
8 Or he that exhorteth, on exhortation: he that giveth, let him do it with simplicity; he that ruleth, with diligence; he that sheweth mercy, with cheerfulness.
9 Let love be without dissimulation. Abhor that which is evil; cleave to that which is good.
10 Be kindly affectioned one to another with brotherly love; in honour preferring one another;
11 Not slothful in business; fervent in spirit; serving the Lord;
12 Rejoicing in hope; patient in tribulation; continuing instant in prayer;
13 Distributing to the necessity of saints; given to hospitality.
14 Bless them which persecute you: bless, and curse not.
15 Rejoice with them that do rejoice, and weep with them that weep.
16 Be of the same mind one toward another. Mind not high things, but condescend to men of low estate. Be not wise in your own conceits.
17 Recompense to no man evil for evil. Provide things honest in the sight of all men.
18 If it be possible, as much as lieth in you, live peaceably with all men.
19 Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord.
20 Therefore if thine enemy hunger, feed him; if he thirst, give him drink: for in so doing thou shalt heap coals of fire on his head.
21 Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good.
