제 9 장
가난한 성도를 섬기는 연보
1 성도를 섬기는 일에 대하여는 내가 너희에게 쓸 필요가 없나니
2 이는 내가 너희의 원함을 앎이라 내가 너희를 위하여 마게도냐인들에게 아가야에서는 일 년 전부터 준비하였다는 것을 자랑하였는데 과연 너희의 열심이 퍽 많은 사람들을 분발하게 하였느니라
3 그런데 이 형제들을 보낸 것은 이 일에 너희를 위한 우리의 자랑이 헛되지 않고 내가 말한 것 같이 준비하게 하려 함이라
4 혹 마게도냐인들이 나와 함께 가서 너희가 준비하지 아니한 것을 보면 너희는 고사하고 우리가 이 믿던 것에 부끄러움을 당할까 두려워하노라
5 그러므로 내가 이 형제들로 먼저 너희에게 가서 너희가 전에 약속한 연보를 미리 준비하게 하도록 권면하는 것이 필요한 줄 생각하였노니 이렇게 준비하여야 참 연보답고 억지가 아니니라
6 이것이 곧 적게 심는 자는 적게 거두고 많이 심는 자는 많이 거둔다 하는 말이로다
7 각각 그 마음에 정한 대로 할 것이요 인색함으로나 억지로 하지 말지니 하나님은 즐겨 내는 자를 사랑하시느니라
8 하나님이 능히 모든 은혜를 너희에게 넘치게 하시나니 이는 너희로 모든 일에 항상 모든 것이 넉넉하여 모든 착한 일을 넘치게 하게 하려 하심이라
9 기록된 바 그가 흩어 가난한 자들에게 주었으니 그의 의가 영원토록 있느니라 함과 같으니라
10 심는 자에게 씨와 먹을 양식을 주시는 이가 너희 심을 것을 주사 풍성하게 하시고 너희 의의 열매를 더하게 하시리니
11 너희가 모든 일에 넉넉하여 너그럽게 연보를 함은 그들이 우리로 말미암아 하나님께 감사하게 하는 것이라
12 이 봉사의 직무가 성도들의 부족한 것을 보충할 뿐 아니라 사람들이 하나님께 드리는 많은 감사로 말미암아 넘쳤느니라
13 이 직무로 증거를 삼아 너희가 그리스도의 복음을 진실히 믿고 복종하는 것과 그들과 모든 사람을 섬기는 너희의 후한 연보로 말미암아 하나님께 영광을 돌리고
14 또 그들이 너희를 위하여 간구하며 하나님이 너희에게 주신 지극한 은혜로 말미암아 너희를 사모하느니라
15 말할 수 없는 그의 은사로 말미암아 하나님께 감사하노라
Capítulo 9
Dios ama y recompensa al dador alegre — Gracias sean dadas a Dios por Su don inefable.
1 Porque en cuanto a la ministración de ayuda para los santos, por demás me es escribiros;
2 pues conozco vuestra buena voluntad, de la cual yo me glorío entre los de Macedonia, que Acaya está preparada desde el año pasado; y vuestro celo ha estimulado a muchos.
3 Pero he enviado a los hermanos, para que nuestro gloriarnos de vosotros no sea vano en esta parte; para que, como lo he dicho, estéis preparados;
4 no sea que, si van conmigo algunos macedonios, y os hallan desprevenidos, nos avergoncemos nosotros, por no decir vosotros, de esta nuestra confianza.
5 Por tanto, consideré necesario exhortar a los hermanos a que fuesen primero a vosotros, y preparasen primero vuestra generosa ofrenda antes prometida, para que esté lista como de generosidad, y no como de exigencia nuestra.
6 Pero esto digo: El que siembra escasamente, también segará escasamente; y el que siembra en abundancia, en abundancia también segará.
7 Cada uno dé como propuso en su corazón, no con tristeza, ni por necesidad, porque Dios ama al dador alegre.
8 Y poderoso es Dios para hacer que abunde en vosotros toda gracia; a fin de que, teniendo siempre en todas las cosas todo lo suficiente, abundéis para toda buena obra.
9Como está escrito:Esparció, dio a los pobres;su justicia permanece para siempre.
10 Y el que da semilla al que siembra, también dará pan para comer, y multiplicará vuestra sementera, y aumentará los frutos de vuestra justicia;
11 para que estéis enriquecidos en todo para toda generosidad, la cual produce por medio de nosotros acción de gracias a Dios.
12 Porque la ministración de este servicio, no solamente suple lo que a los santos les falta, sino que también abunda en muchas acciones de gracias a Dios;
13 pues por la experiencia de esta ministración de ayuda glorifican a Dios por la obediencia que profesáis al evangelio de Cristo, y por la liberalidad de vuestra contribución para ellos y para todos;
14 asimismo por la oración de ellos a favor vuestro, los que os aman de corazón a causa de la sobreabundante gracia de Dios en vosotros.
15 ¡Gracias a Dios por su don inefable!
Chapter 9
God loves and rewards a cheerful giver—Thanks be to God for His unspeakable gift.
1 For as touching the ministering to the saints, it is superfluous for me to write to you:
2 For I know the forwardness of your mind, for which I boast of you to them of Macedonia, that Achaia was ready a year ago; and your zeal hath provoked very many.
3 Yet have I sent the brethren, lest our boasting of you should be in vain in this behalf; that, as I said, ye may be ready:
4 Lest haply if they of Macedonia come with me, and find you unprepared, we (that we say not, ye) should be ashamed in this same confident boasting.
5 Therefore I thought it necessary to exhort the brethren, that they would go before unto you, and make up beforehand your bounty, whereof ye had notice before, that the same might be ready, as a matter of bounty, and not as of covetousness.
6 But this I say, He which soweth sparingly shall reap also sparingly; and he which soweth bountifully shall reap also bountifully.
7 Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver.
8 And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work:
9 (As it is written, He hath dispersed abroad; he hath given to the poor: his righteousness remaineth for ever.
10 Now he that ministereth seed to the sower both minister bread for your food, and multiply your seed sown, and increase the fruits of your righteousness;)
11 Being enriched in every thing to all bountifulness, which causeth through us thanksgiving to God.
12 For the administration of this service not only supplieth the want of the saints, but is abundant also by many thanksgivings unto God;
13 Whiles by the experiment of this ministration they glorify God for your professed subjection unto the gospel of Christ, and for your liberal distribution unto them, and unto all men;
14 And by their prayer for you, which long after you for the exceeding grace of God in you.
