제 6 장

고레스의 조서와 다리오 왕의 명령

1   이에 다리오 왕이 조서를 내려 문서창고 곧 바벨론의 보물을 쌓아둔 보물전각에서 조사하게 하여

2   메대도 악메다 궁성에서 한 두루마리를 찾았으니 거기에 기록하였으되

3   고레스 왕 원년에 조서를 내려 이르기를 예루살렘에 있는 하나님의 성전에 대하여 이르노니 이 성전 곧 제사 드리는 처소를 건축하되 지대를 견고히 쌓고 그 성전의 높이는 육십 1)규빗으로, 너비도 육십 규빗으로 하고

4   큰 돌 세 켜에 새 나무 한 켜를 놓으라 그 경비는 다 왕실에서 내리라

5   또 느부갓네살이 예루살렘 성전에서 탈취하여 바벨론으로 옮겼던 하나님의 성전 금, 은 그릇들을 돌려보내어 예루살렘 성전에 가져다가 하나님의 성전 안 각기 제자리에 둘지니라 하였더라

6   이제 유브라데 강 건너편 총독 닷드내와 스달보스내와 너희 동관 유브라데 강 건너편 아바삭 사람들은 그 곳을 멀리하여

7   하나님의 성전 공사를 막지 말고 유다 총독과 장로들이 하나님의 이 성전을 제자리에 건축하게 하라

8   내가 또 조서를 내려서 하나님의 이 성전을 건축함에 대하여 너희가 유다 사람의 장로들에게 행할 것을 알리노니 왕의 재산 곧 유브라데 강 건너편에서 거둔 세금 중에서 그 경비를 이 사람들에게 끊임없이 주어 그들로 멈추지 않게 하라

9   또 그들이 필요로 하는 것 곧 하늘의 하나님께 드릴 번제의 수송아지와 숫양과 어린 양과 또 밀과 소금과 포도주와 기름을 예루살렘 제사장의 요구대로 어김없이 날마다 주어

10   그들이 하늘의 하나님께 향기로운 제물을 드려 왕과 왕자들의 생명을 위하여 기도하게 하라

11   내가 또 명령을 내리노니 누구를 막론하고 이 명령을 변조하면 그의 집에서 들보를 빼내고 그를 그 위에 매어달게 하고 그의 집은 이로 말미암아 거름더미가 되게 하라

12   만일 왕들이나 백성이 이 명령을 변조하고 손을 들어 예루살렘 하나님의 성전을 헐진대 그 곳에 이름을 두신 하나님이 그들을 멸하시기를 원하노라 나 다리오가 조서를 내렸노니 신속히 행할지어다 하였더라

성전 봉헌

13   다리오 왕의 조서가 내리매 유브라데 강 건너편 총독 닷드내와 스달보스내와 그들의 동관들이 신속히 준행하니라

14   유다 사람의 장로들이 선지자 학개와 잇도의 손자 스가랴의 권면을 따랐으므로 성전 건축하는 일이 형통한지라 이스라엘 하나님의 명령과 바사 왕 고레스와 다리오와 아닥사스다의 조서를 따라 성전을 건축하며 일을 끝내되

15   다리오 왕 제육년 아달월 삼일에 성전 일을 끝내니라

16   이스라엘 자손과 제사장들과 레위 사람들과 기타 사로잡혔던 자의 자손이 즐거이 하나님의 성전 봉헌식을 행하니

17   하나님의 성전 봉헌식을 행할 때에 수소 백 마리와 숫양 이백 마리와 어린 양 사백 마리를 드리고 또 이스라엘 지파의 수를 따라 숫염소 열두 마리로 이스라엘 전체를 위하여 속죄제를 드리고

18   제사장을 그 분반대로, 레위 사람을 그 순차대로 세워 예루살렘에서 하나님을 섬기게 하되 모세의 책에 기록된 대로 하게 하니라

유월절

19   사로잡혔던 자의 자손이 첫째 달 십사일에 유월절을 지키되

20   제사장들과 레위 사람들이 일제히 몸을 정결하게 하여 다 정결하매 사로잡혔던 자들의 모든 자손과 자기 형제 제사장들과 자기를 위하여 유월절 양을 잡으니

21   사로잡혔다가 돌아온 이스라엘 자손과 자기 땅에 사는 이방 사람의 더러운 것으로부터 스스로를 구별한 모든 이스라엘 사람들에게 속하여 이스라엘의 하나님 여호와를 찾는 자들이 다 먹고

22   즐거움으로 이레 동안 무교절을 지켰으니 이는 여호와께서 그들을 즐겁게 하시고 또 앗수르 왕의 마음을 그들에게로 돌려 이스라엘의 하나님이신 하나님의 성전 건축하는 손을 힘 있게 하도록 하셨음이었더라

#ESDRAS 6

1Entonces el rey Darío dio la orden de buscar en la casa de los archivos, donde guardaban los tesoros allí en Babilonia. 2Y fue hallado en Acmeta, en el palacio que está en la provincia de Media, un libro en el cual estaba escrito así: Memoria: 3En el año primero del rey Ciro, el mismo rey Ciro dio orden acerca de la casa de Dios, la cual estaba en Jerusalén, para que fuese la casa reedificada como lugar para ofrecer sacrificios, y que sus paredes fuesen firmes; su altura de sesenta codos, y de sesenta codos su anchura; 4y tres hileras de piedras grandes, y una de madera nueva; y que el gasto sea pagado por el tesoro del rey. 5Y también los utensilios de oro y de plata de la casa de Dios, los cuales Nabucodonosor sacó del templo que estaba en Jerusalén y los pasó a Babilonia, sean devueltos y vayan a su lugar, al templo que está en Jerusalén, y sean puestos en la casa de Dios.

6Ahora, pues, Tatnai gobernador del otro lado del río, Setar-boznai, y vuestros compañeros los gobernadores que estáis al otro lado del río, alejaos de allí. 7Dejad que se haga la obra de esa casa de Dios; que el gobernador de los judíos y sus ancianos reedifiquen esa casa de Dios en su lugar. 8Y por mí es dada orden de lo que habéis de hacer con esos ancianos de los judíos, para reedificar esa casa de Dios; que de la hacienda del rey, que tiene del tributo del otro lado del río, sean dados puntualmente a esos varones los gastos, para que no cese la obra. 9Y lo que fuere necesario, becerros, carneros y corderos para holocaustos al Dios del cielo, trigo, sal, vino y aceite, conforme a lo que dijeren los sacerdotes que están en Jerusalén, les sea dado día por día sin obstáculo alguno, 10para que ofrezcan sacrificios agradables al Dios del cielo, y oren por la vida del rey y por sus hijos. 11También por mí es dada orden, que cualquiera que altere este decreto, se le arranque un madero de su casa, y alzado, sea colgado en él, y su casa sea hecha muladar por esto. 12Y el Dios que hizo habitar allí su nombre, destruya a todo rey y pueblo que pusiere su mano para cambiar o destruir esa casa de Dios, la cual está en Jerusalén. Yo Darío he dado el decreto; sea cumplido prontamente.

13Entonces Tatnai gobernador del otro lado del río, y Setar-boznai y sus compañeros, hicieron puntualmente según el rey Darío había ordenado. 14Y los ancianos de los judíos edificaban y prosperaban, conforme a la profecía del profeta Hageo y de Zacarías hijo de Iddo. Edificaron, pues, y terminaron, por orden del Dios de Israel, y por mandato de Ciro, de Darío, y de Artajerjes rey de Persia. 15Esta casa fue terminada el tercer día del mes de Adar, que era el sexto año del reinado del rey Darío.

16Entonces los hijos de Israel, los sacerdotes, los levitas y los demás que habían venido de la cautividad, hicieron la dedicación de esta casa de Dios con gozo. 17Y ofrecieron en la dedicación de esta casa de Dios cien becerros, doscientos carneros y cuatrocientos corderos; y doce machos cabríos en expiación por todo Israel, conforme al número de las tribus de Israel. 18Y pusieron a los sacerdotes en sus turnos, y a los levitas en sus clases, para el servicio de Dios en Jerusalén, conforme a lo escrito en el libro de Moisés.

19También los hijos de la cautividad celebraron la pascua a los catorce días del mes primero. 20Porque los sacerdotes y los levitas se habían purificado a una; todos estaban limpios, y sacrificaron la pascua por todos los hijos de la cautividad, y por sus hermanos los sacerdotes, y por sí mismos. 21Comieron los hijos de Israel que habían vuelto del cautiverio, con todos aquellos que se habían apartado de las inmundicias de las gentes de la tierra para buscar a Jehová Dios de Israel. 22Y celebraron con regocijo la fiesta solemne de los panes sin levadura siete días, por cuanto Jehová los había alegrado, y había vuelto el corazón del rey de Asiria hacia ellos, para fortalecer sus manos en la obra de la casa de Dios, del Dios de Israel.

#Ezra 6

The Decree of Darius

1Then Darius the king made a decree, and search was made in Babylonia, in the house of the archives where the documents were stored. 2And in Ecbatana, the citadel that is in the province of Media, a scroll was found on which this was written: “A record. 3In the first year of Cyrus the king, Cyrus the king issued a decree: Concerning the house of God at Jerusalem, let the house be rebuilt, the place where sacrifices were offered, and let its foundations be retained. Its height shall be sixty cubits and its breadth sixty cubits, 4with three layers of great stones and one layer of timber. Let the cost be paid from the royal treasury. 5And also let the gold and silver vessels of the house of God, which Nebuchadnezzar took out of the temple that is in Jerusalem and brought to Babylon, be restored and brought back to the temple that is in Jerusalem, each to its place. You shall put them in the house of God.”

6“Now therefore, Tattenai, governor of the province Beyond the River, Shethar-bozenai, and your associates the governors who are in the province Beyond the River, keep away. 7Let the work on this house of God alone. Let the governor of the Jews and the elders of the Jews rebuild this house of God on its site. 8Moreover, I make a decree regarding what you shall do for these elders of the Jews for the rebuilding of this house of God. The cost is to be paid to these men in full and without delay from the royal revenue, the tribute of the province from Beyond the River. 9And whatever is needed—bulls, rams, or sheep for burnt offerings to the God of heaven, wheat, salt, wine, or oil, as the priests at Jerusalem require—let that be given to them day by day without fail, 10that they may offer pleasing sacrifices to the God of heaven and pray for the life of the king and his sons. 11Also I make a decree that if anyone alters this edict, a beam shall be pulled out of his house, and he shall be impaled on it, and his house shall be made a dunghill. 12May the God who has caused his name to dwell there overthrow any king or people who shall put out a hand to alter this, or to destroy this house of God that is in Jerusalem. I Darius make a decree; let it be done with all diligence.”

The Temple Finished and Dedicated

13Then, according to the word sent by Darius the king, Tattenai, the governor of the province Beyond the River, Shethar-bozenai, and their associates did with all diligence what Darius the king had ordered. 14And the elders of the Jews built and prospered through the prophesying of Haggai the prophet and Zechariah the son of Iddo. They finished their building by decree of the God of Israel and by decree of Cyrus and Darius and Artaxerxes king of Persia; 15and this house was finished on the third day of the month of Adar, in the sixth year of the reign of Darius the king.

16And the people of Israel, the priests and the Levites, and the rest of the returned exiles, celebrated the dedication of this house of God with joy. 17They offered at the dedication of this house of God 100 bulls, 200 rams, 400 lambs, and as a sin offering for all Israel 12 male goats, according to the number of the tribes of Israel. 18And they set the priests in their divisions and the Levites in their divisions, for the service of God at Jerusalem, as it is written in the Book of Moses.

Passover Celebrated

19 On the fourteenth day of the first month, the returned exiles kept the Passover. 20For the priests and the Levites had purified themselves together; all of them were clean. So they slaughtered the Passover lamb for all the returned exiles, for their fellow priests, and for themselves. 21It was eaten by the people of Israel who had returned from exile, and also by every one who had joined them and separated himself from the uncleanness of the peoples of the land to worship the Lord, the God of Israel. 22And they kept the Feast of Unleavened Bread seven days with joy, for the Lord had made them joyful and had turned the heart of the king of Assyria to them, so that he aided them in the work of the house of God, the God of Israel.
