제 30 장

유월절 준비

1   히스기야가 온 이스라엘과 유다에 사람을 보내고 또 에브라임과 므낫세에 편지를 보내어 예루살렘 여호와의 전에 와서 이스라엘 하나님 여호와를 위하여 유월절을 지키라 하니라

2   왕이 방백들과 예루살렘 온 회중과 더불어 의논하고 둘째 달에 유월절을 지키려 하였으니

3   이는 성결하게 한 제사장들이 부족하고 백성도 예루살렘에 모이지 못하였으므로 그 정한 때에 지킬수 없었음이라

4   왕과 온 회중이 이 일을 좋게 여기고

5   드디어 왕이 명령을 내려 브엘세바에서부터 단까지 온 이스라엘에 공포하여 일제히 예루살렘으로 와서 이스라엘 하나님 여호와의 유월절을 지키라 하니 이는 기록한 규례대로 오랫동안 지키지 못하였음이더라

6   보발꾼들이 왕과 방백들의 편지를 받아 가지고 왕의 명령을 따라 온 이스라엘과 유다에 두루 다니며 전하니 일렀으되 이스라엘 자손들아 너희는 아브라함과 이삭과 이스라엘의 하나님 여호와께로 돌아오라 그리하면 그가 너희 남은 자 곧 앗수르 왕의 손에서 벗어난 자에게로 돌아오시리라

7   너희 조상들과 너희 형제 같이 하지 말라 그들은 그의 조상들의 하나님 여호와께 범죄하였으므로 여호와께서 멸망하도록 버려 두신 것을 너희가 똑똑히 보는 바니라

8   그런즉 너희 조상들 같이 목을 곧게 하지 말고 여호와께 돌아와 영원히 거룩하게 하신 전에 들어가서 너희 하나님 여호와를 섬겨 그의 진노가 너희에게서 떠나게 하라

9   너희가 만일 여호와께 돌아오면 너희 형제들과 너희 자녀가 사로잡은 자들에게서 자비를 입어 다시 이 땅으로 돌아오리라 너희 하나님 여호와는 은혜로우시고 자비하신지라 너희가 그에게로 돌아오면 그의 얼굴을 너희에게서 돌이키지 아니하시리라 하였더라

10   보발꾼이 에브라임과 므낫세 지방 각 성읍으로 두루 다녀서 스불론까지 이르렀으나 사람들이 그들을 조롱하며 비웃었더라

11   그러나 아셀과 므낫세와 스불론 중에서 몇 사람이 스스로 겸손한 마음으로 예루살렘에 이르렀고

12   하나님의 손이 또한 유다 사람들을 감동시키사 그들에게 왕과 방백들이 여호와의 말씀대로 전한 명령을 한 마음으로 준행하게 하셨더라

유월절을 성대히 지키다

13   둘째 달에 백성이 무교절을 지키려 하여 예루살렘에 많이 모이니 매우 큰 모임이라

14   무리가 일어나 예루살렘에 있는 제단과 향단들을 모두 제거하여 기드론 시내에 던지고

15   둘째 달 열넷째 날에 유월절 양을 잡으니 제사장과 레위 사람이 부끄러워하여 성결하게 하고 번제물을 가지고 여호와의 전에 이르러

16   규례대로 각각 자기들의 처소에 서고 하나님의 사람 모세의 율법을 따라 제사장들이 레위 사람의 손에서 피를 받아 뿌리니라

17   회중 가운데 많은 사람이 자신들을 성결하게 하지 못하였으므로 레위 사람들이 모든 부정한 사람을 위하여 유월절 양을 잡아 그들로 여호와 앞에서 성결하게 하였으나

18   에브라임과 므낫세와 잇사갈과 스불론의 많은 무리는 자기들을 깨끗하게 하지 아니하고 유월절 양을 먹어 기록한 규례를 어긴지라 히스기야가 그들을 위하여 기도하여 이르되 선하신 여호와여 사하옵소서

19   결심하고 하나님 곧 그의 조상들의 하나님 여호와를 구하는 사람은 누구든지 비록 성소의 결례대로 스스로 깨끗하게 못하였을지라도 사하옵소서 하였더니

20   여호와께서 히스기야의 기도를 들으시고 백성을 고치셨더라

21   예루살렘에 모인 이스라엘 자손이 크게 즐거워하며 칠 일 동안 무교절을 지켰고 레위 사람들과 제사장들은 날마다 여호와를 칭송하며 큰 소리 나는 악기를 울려 여호와를 찬양하였으며

22   히스기야는 여호와를 섬기는 일에 능숙한 모든 레위 사람들을 위로하였더라 이와 같이 절기 칠 일 동안에 무리가 먹으며 화목제를 드리고 그의 조상들의 하나님 여호와께 감사하였더라

두 번째 절기

23   온 회중이 다시 칠 일을 지키기로 결의하고 이에 또 칠 일을 즐겁게 지켰더라

24   유다 왕 히스기야가 수송아지 천 마리와 양 칠천 마리를 회중에게 주었고 방백들은 수송아지 천 마리와 양 만 마리를 회중에게 주었으며 자신들을 성결하게 한 제사장들도 많았더라

25   유다 온 회중과 제사장들과 레위 사람들과 이스라엘에서 온 모든 회중과 이스라엘 땅에서 나온 나그네들과 유다에 사는 나그네들이 다 즐거워하였으므로

26   예루살렘에 큰 기쁨이 있었으니 이스라엘 왕 다윗의 아들 솔로몬 때로부터 이러한 기쁨이 예루살렘에 없었더라

27   그 때에 제사장들과 레위 사람들이 일어나서 백성을 위하여 축복하였으니 그 소리가 하늘에 들리고 그 기도가 여호와의 거룩한 처소 하늘에 이르렀더라

Ezequías celebra la pascua

1Envió después Ezequías por todo Israel y Judá, y escribió cartas a Efraín y a Manasés, para que viniesen a Jerusalén a la casa de Jehová para celebrar la pascua a Jehová Dios de Israel. 2Y el rey había tomado consejo con sus príncipes, y con toda la congregación en Jerusalén, para celebrar la pascua en el mes segundo; 3porque entonces no la podían celebrar, por cuanto no había suficientes sacerdotes santificados, ni el pueblo se había reunido en Jerusalén. 4Esto agradó al rey y a toda la multitud. 5Y determinaron hacer pasar pregón por todo Israel, desde Beerseba hasta Dan, para que viniesen a celebrar la pascua a Jehová Dios de Israel, en Jerusalén; porque en mucho tiempo no la habían celebrado al modo que está escrito. 6Fueron, pues, correos con cartas de mano del rey y de sus príncipes por todo Israel y Judá, como el rey lo había mandado, y decían: Hijos de Israel, volveos a Jehová el Dios de Abraham, de Isaac y de Israel, y él se volverá al remanente que ha quedado de la mano de los reyes de Asiria. 7No seáis como vuestros padres y como vuestros hermanos, que se rebelaron contra Jehová el Dios de sus padres, y él los entregó a desolación, como vosotros veis. 8No endurezcáis, pues, ahora vuestra cerviz como vuestros padres; someteos a Jehová, y venid a su santuario, el cual él ha santificado para siempre; y servid a Jehová vuestro Dios, y el ardor de su ira se apartará de vosotros. 9Porque si os volviereis a Jehová, vuestros hermanos y vuestros hijos hallarán misericordia delante de los que los tienen cautivos, y volverán a esta tierra; porque Jehová vuestro Dios es clemente y misericordioso, y no apartará de vosotros su rostro, si vosotros os volviereis a él.

10Pasaron, pues, los correos de ciudad en ciudad por la tierra de Efraín y Manasés, hasta Zabulón; mas se reían y burlaban de ellos. 11Con todo eso, algunos hombres de Aser, de Manasés y de Zabulón se humillaron, y vinieron a Jerusalén. 12En Judá también estuvo la mano de Dios para darles un solo corazón para cumplir el mensaje del rey y de los príncipes, conforme a la palabra de Jehová.

13Y se reunió en Jerusalén mucha gente para celebrar la fiesta solemne de los panes sin levadura en el mes segundo, una vasta reunión. 14Y levantándose, quitaron los altares que había en Jerusalén; quitaron también todos los altares de incienso, y los echaron al torrente de Cedrón. 15Entonces sacrificaron la pascua, a los catorce días del mes segundo; y los sacerdotes y los levitas llenos de vergüenza se santificaron, y trajeron los holocaustos a la casa de Jehová. 16Y tomaron su lugar en los turnos de costumbre, conforme a la ley de Moisés varón de Dios; y los sacerdotes esparcían la sangre que recibían de manos de los levitas. 17Porque había muchos en la congregación que no estaban santificados, y por eso los levitas sacrificaban la pascua por todos los que no se habían purificado, para santificarlos a Jehová. 18Porque una gran multitud del pueblo de Efraín y Manasés, y de Isacar y Zabulón, no se habían purificado, y comieron la pascua no conforme a lo que está escrito. Mas Ezequías oró por ellos, diciendo: Jehová, que es bueno, sea propicio a todo aquel que ha preparado su corazón para buscar a Dios, 19a Jehová el Dios de sus padres, aunque no esté purificado según los ritos de purificación del santuario. 20Y oyó Jehová a Ezequías, y sanó al pueblo. 21Así los hijos de Israel que estaban en Jerusalén celebraron la fiesta solemne de los panes sin levadura por siete días con grande gozo; y glorificaban a Jehová todos los días los levitas y los sacerdotes, cantando con instrumentos resonantes a Jehová. 22Y habló Ezequías al corazón de todos los levitas que tenían buena inteligencia en el servicio de Jehová. Y comieron de lo sacrificado en la fiesta solemne por siete días, ofreciendo sacrificios de paz, y dando gracias a Jehová el Dios de sus padres.

23Y toda aquella asamblea determinó que celebrasen la fiesta por otros siete días; y la celebraron otros siete días con alegría. 24Porque Ezequías rey de Judá había dado a la asamblea mil novillos y siete mil ovejas; y también los príncipes dieron al pueblo mil novillos y diez mil ovejas; y muchos sacerdotes ya se habían santificado. 25Se alegró, pues, toda la congregación de Judá, como también los sacerdotes y levitas, y toda la multitud que había venido de Israel; asimismo los forasteros que habían venido de la tierra de Israel, y los que habitaban en Judá. 26Hubo entonces gran regocijo en Jerusalén; porque desde los días de Salomón hijo de David rey de Israel, no había habido cosa semejante en Jerusalén. 27Después los sacerdotes y levitas, puestos en pie, bendijeron al pueblo; y la voz de ellos fue oída, y su oración llegó a la habitación de su santuario, al cielo.

Passover Celebrated

1Hezekiah sent to all Israel and Judah, and wrote letters also to Ephraim and Manasseh, that they should come to the house of the Lord at Jerusalem to keep the Passover to the Lord, the God of Israel. 2For the king and his princes and all the assembly in Jerusalem had taken counsel to keep the Passover in the second month— 3for they could not keep it at that time because the priests had not consecrated themselves in sufficient number, nor had the people assembled in Jerusalem— 4and the plan seemed right to the king and all the assembly. 5So they decreed to make a proclamation throughout all Israel, from Beersheba to Dan, that the people should come and keep the Passover to the Lord, the God of Israel, at Jerusalem, for they had not kept it as often as prescribed. 6So couriers went throughout all Israel and Judah with letters from the king and his princes, as the king had commanded, saying, “O people of Israel, return to the Lord, the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Israel, that he may turn again to the remnant of you who have escaped from the hand of the kings of Assyria. 7Do not be like your fathers and your brothers, who were faithless to the Lord God of their fathers, so that he made them a desolation, as you see. 8Do not now be stiff-necked as your fathers were, but yield yourselves to the Lord and come to his sanctuary, which he has consecrated forever, and serve the Lord your God, that his fierce anger may turn away from you. 9For if you return to the Lord, your brothers and your children will find compassion with their captors and return to this land. For the Lord your God is gracious and merciful and will not turn away his face from you, if you return to him.”

10 So the couriers went from city to city through the country of Ephraim and Manasseh, and as far as Zebulun, but they laughed them to scorn and mocked them. 11However, some men of Asher, of Manasseh, and of Zebulun humbled themselves and came to Jerusalem. 12The hand of God was also on Judah to give them one heart to do what the king and the princes commanded by the word of the Lord.

13And many people came together in Jerusalem to keep the Feast of Unleavened Bread in the second month, a very great assembly. 14They set to work and removed the altars that were in Jerusalem, and all the altars for burning incense they took away and threw into the brook Kidron. 15And they slaughtered the Passover lamb on the fourteenth day of the second month. And the priests and the Levites were ashamed, so that they consecrated themselves and brought burnt offerings into the house of the Lord. 16They took their accustomed posts according to the Law of Moses the man of God. The priests threw the blood that they received from the hand of the Levites. 17For there were many in the assembly who had not consecrated themselves. Therefore the Levites had to slaughter the Passover lamb for everyone who was not clean, to consecrate it to the Lord. 18For a majority of the people, many of them from Ephraim, Manasseh, Issachar, and Zebulun, had not cleansed themselves, yet they ate the Passover otherwise than as prescribed. For Hezekiah had prayed for them, saying, “May the good Lord pardon everyone 19who sets his heart to seek God, the Lord, the God of his fathers, even though not according to the sanctuary’s rules of cleanness.” 20And the Lord heard Hezekiah and healed the people. 21And the people of Israel who were present at Jerusalem kept the Feast of Unleavened Bread seven days with great gladness, and the Levites and the priests praised the Lord day by day, singing with all their might to the Lord. 22And Hezekiah spoke encouragingly to all the Levites who showed good skill in the service of the Lord. So they ate the food of the festival for seven days, sacrificing peace offerings and giving thanks to the Lord, the God of their fathers.

23Then the whole assembly agreed together to keep the feast for another seven days. So they kept it for another seven days with gladness. 24For Hezekiah king of Judah gave the assembly 1,000 bulls and 7,000 sheep for offerings, and the princes gave the assembly 1,000 bulls and 10,000 sheep. And the priests consecrated themselves in great numbers. 25The whole assembly of Judah, and the priests and the Levites, and the whole assembly that came out of Israel, and the sojourners who came out of the land of Israel, and the sojourners who lived in Judah, rejoiced. 26So there was great joy in Jerusalem, for since the time of Solomon the son of David king of Israel there had been nothing like this in Jerusalem. 27Then the priests and the Levites arose and blessed the people, and their voice was heard, and their prayer came to his holy habitation in heaven.
