제 31 장

히스기야의 개혁

1   이 모든 일이 끝나매 거기에 있는 이스라엘 무리가 나가서 유다 여러 성읍에 이르러 주상들을 깨뜨리며 아세라 목상들을 찍으며 유다와 베냐민과 에브라임과 므낫세 온 땅에서 산당들과 제단들을 제거하여 없애고 이스라엘 모든 자손이 각각 자기들의 본성 기업으로 돌아갔더라

2   히스기야가 제사장들과 레위 사람들의 반열을 정하고 그들의 반열에 따라 각각 그들의 직임을 행하게 하되 곧 제사장들과 레위 사람들에게 번제와 화목제를 드리며 여호와의 휘장 문에서 섬기며 감사하며 찬송하게 하고

3   또 왕의 재산 중에서 얼마를 정하여 여호와의 율법에 기록된 대로 번제 곧 아침과 저녁의 번제와 안식일과 초하루와 절기의 번제에 쓰게 하고

4   또 예루살렘에 사는 백성을 명령하여 제사장들과 레위 사람들 몫의 음식을 주어 그들에게 여호와의 율법을 힘쓰게 하라 하니라

5   왕의 명령이 내리자 곧 이스라엘 자손이 곡식과 포도주와 기름과 꿀과 밭의 모든 소산의 첫 열매들을 풍성히 드렸고 또 모든 것의 십일조를 많이 가져왔으며

6   유다 여러 성읍에 사는 이스라엘과 유다 자손들도 소와 양의 십일조를 가져왔고 또 그들의 하나님 여호와께 구별하여 드릴 성물의 십일조를 가져왔으며 그것을 쌓아 여러 더미를 이루었는데

7   셋째 달에 그 더미들을 쌓기 시작하여 일곱째 달에 마친지라

8   히스기야와 방백들이 와서 쌓인 더미들을 보고 여호와를 송축하고 그의 백성 이스라엘을 위하여 축복하니라

9   히스기야가 그 더미들에 대하여 제사장들과 레위 사람들에게 물으니

10   사독의 족속 대제사장 아사랴가 그에게 대답하여 이르되 백성이 예물을 여호와의 전에 드리기 시작함으로부터 우리가 만족하게 먹었으나 남은 것이 많으니 이는 여호와께서 그의 백성에게 복을 주셨음이라 그 남은 것이 이렇게 많이 쌓였나이다

11   그 때에 히스기야가 명령하여 여호와의 전 안에 방들을 준비하라 하므로 그렇게 준비하고

12   성심으로 그 예물과 십일조와 구별한 물건들을 갖다 두고 레위 사람 고나냐가 그 일의 책임자가 되고 그의 아우 시므이는 부책임자가 되며

13   여히엘과 아사시야와 나핫과 아사헬과 여리못과 요사밧과 엘리엘과 이스마갸와 마핫과 브나야는 고나냐와 그의 아우 시므이의 수하에서 보살피는 자가 되니 이는 히스기야 왕과 하나님의 전을 관리하는 아사랴가 명령한 바이며

14   동문지기 레위 사람 임나의 아들 고레는 즐거이 하나님께 드리는 예물을 맡아 여호와께 드리는 것과 모든 지성물을 나눠 주며

15   그의 수하의 에덴과 미냐민과 예수아와 스마야와 아마랴와 스가냐는 제사장들의 성읍들에 있어서 직임을 맡아 그의 형제들에게 반열대로 대소를 막론하고 나눠 주되

16   삼 세 이상으로 족보에 기록된 남자 외에 날마다 여호와의 전에 들어가서 그 반열대로 직무에 수종드는 자들에게 다 나눠 주며

17   또 그들의 족속대로 족보에 기록된 제사장들에게 나눠 주며 이십세 이상에서 그 반열대로 직무를 맡은 레위 사람들에게 나눠 주며

18   또 그 족보에 기록된 온 회중의 어린 아이들 아내들 자녀들에게 나눠 주었으니 이 회중은 성결하고 충실히 그 직분을 다하는 자며

19   각 성읍에서 등록된 사람이 있어 성읍 가까운 들에 사는 아론 자손 제사장들에게도 나눠 주되 제사장들의 모든 남자와 족보에 기록된 레위 사람들에게 나눠 주었더라

20   히스기야가 온 유다에 이같이 행하되 그의 하나님 여호와 보시기에 선과 정의와 진실함으로 행하였으니

21   그가 행하는 모든 일 곧 하나님의 전에 수종드는 일에나 율법에나 계명에나 그의 하나님을 찾고 한 마음으로 행하여 형통하였더라

2 CRÓNICAS 31

1Hechas todas estas cosas, todos los de Israel que habían estado allí salieron por las ciudades de Judá, y quebraron las estatuas y destruyeron las imágenes de Asera, y derribaron los lugares altos y los altares por todo Judá y Benjamín, y también en Efraín y Manasés, hasta acabarlo todo. Después se volvieron todos los hijos de Israel a sus ciudades, cada uno a su posesión.

Ezequías reorganiza el servicio de los sacerdotes y levitas

2Y arregló Ezequías la distribución de los sacerdotes y de los levitas conforme a sus turnos, cada uno según su oficio; los sacerdotes y los levitas para ofrecer el holocausto y las ofrendas de paz, para que ministrasen, para que diesen gracias y alabasen dentro de las puertas de los atrios de Jehová. 3El rey contribuyó de su propia hacienda para los holocaustos a mañana y tarde, y para los holocaustos de los días de reposo, nuevas lunas y fiestas solemnes, como está escrito en la ley de Jehová. 4Mandó también al pueblo que habitaba en Jerusalén, que diese la porción correspondiente a los sacerdotes y levitas, para que ellos se dedicasen a la ley de Jehová. 5Y cuando este edicto fue divulgado, los hijos de Israel dieron muchas primicias de grano, vino, aceite, miel, y de todos los frutos de la tierra; trajeron asimismo en abundancia los diezmos de todas las cosas. 6También los hijos de Israel y de Judá, que habitaban en las ciudades de Judá, dieron del mismo modo los diezmos de las vacas y de las ovejas; y trajeron los diezmos de lo santificado, de las cosas que habían prometido a Jehová su Dios, y los depositaron en montones. 7En el mes tercero comenzaron a formar aquellos montones, y terminaron en el mes séptimo. 8Cuando Ezequías y los príncipes vinieron y vieron los montones, bendijeron a Jehová, y a su pueblo Israel. 9Y preguntó Ezequías a los sacerdotes y a los levitas acerca de esos montones. 10Y el sumo sacerdote Azarías, de la casa de Sadoc, le contestó: Desde que comenzaron a traer las ofrendas a la casa de Jehová, hemos comido y nos hemos saciado, y nos ha sobrado mucho, porque Jehová ha bendecido a su pueblo; y ha quedado esta abundancia de provisiones.

11Entonces mandó Ezequías que preparasen cámaras en la casa de Jehová; y las prepararon. 12Y en ellas depositaron las primicias y los diezmos y las cosas consagradas, fielmente; y dieron cargo de ello al levita Conanías, el principal, y Simei su hermano fue el segundo. 13Y Jehiel, Azazías, Nahat, Asael, Jerimot, Jozabad, Eliel, Ismaquías, Mahat y Benaía, fueron los mayordomos al servicio de Conanías y de Simei su hermano, por mandamiento del rey Ezequías y de Azarías, príncipe de la casa de Dios. 14Y el levita Coré hijo de Imna, guarda de la puerta oriental, tenía cargo de las ofrendas voluntarias para Dios, y de la distribución de las ofrendas dedicadas a Jehová, y de las cosas santísimas. 15Y a su servicio estaban Edén, Miniamín, Jesúa, Semaías, Amarías y Secanías, en las ciudades de los sacerdotes, para dar con fidelidad a sus hermanos sus porciones conforme a sus grupos, así al mayor como al menor; 16a los varones anotados por sus linajes, de tres años arriba, a todos los que entraban en la casa de Jehová para desempeñar su ministerio según sus oficios y grupos. 17También a los que eran contados entre los sacerdotes según sus casas paternas; y a los levitas de edad de veinte años arriba, conforme a sus oficios y grupos. 18Eran inscritos con todos sus niños, sus mujeres, sus hijos e hijas, toda la multitud; porque con fidelidad se consagraban a las cosas santas. 19Del mismo modo para los hijos de Aarón, sacerdotes, que estaban en los ejidos de sus ciudades, por todas las ciudades, los varones nombrados tenían cargo de dar sus porciones a todos los varones de entre los sacerdotes, y a todo el linaje de los levitas.

20De esta manera hizo Ezequías en todo Judá; y ejecutó lo bueno, recto y verdadero delante de Jehová su Dios. 21En todo cuanto emprendió en el servicio de la casa de Dios, de acuerdo con la ley y los mandamientos, buscó a su Dios, lo hizo de todo corazón, y fue prosperado.

Hezekiah Organizes the Priests

1Now when all this was finished, all Israel who were present went out to the cities of Judah and broke in pieces the pillars and cut down the Asherim and broke down the high places and the altars throughout all Judah and Benjamin, and in Ephraim and Manasseh, until they had destroyed them all. Then all the people of Israel returned to their cities, every man to his possession.

2And Hezekiah appointed the divisions of the priests and of the Levites, division by division, each according to his service, the priests and the Levites, for burnt offerings and peace offerings, to minister in the gates of the camp of the Lord and to give thanks and praise. 3The contribution of the king from his own possessions was for the burnt offerings: the burnt offerings of morning and evening, and the burnt offerings for the Sabbaths, the new moons, and the appointed feasts, as it is written in the Law of the Lord. 4And he commanded the people who lived in Jerusalem to give the portion due to the priests and the Levites, that they might give themselves to the Law of the Lord. 5As soon as the command was spread abroad, the people of Israel gave in abundance the firstfruits of grain, wine, oil, honey, and of all the produce of the field. And they brought in abundantly the tithe of everything. 6And the people of Israel and Judah who lived in the cities of Judah also brought in the tithe of cattle and sheep, and the tithe of the dedicated things that had been dedicated to the Lord their God, and laid them in heaps. 7In the third month they began to pile up the heaps, and finished them in the seventh month. 8When Hezekiah and the princes came and saw the heaps, they blessed the Lord and his people Israel. 9And Hezekiah questioned the priests and the Levites about the heaps. 10Azariah the chief priest, who was of the house of Zadok, answered him, “Since they began to bring the contributions into the house of the Lord, we have eaten and had enough and have plenty left, for the Lord has blessed his people, so that we have this large amount left.”

11Then Hezekiah commanded them to prepare chambers in the house of the Lord, and they prepared them. 12And they faithfully brought in the contributions, the tithes, and the dedicated things. The chief officer in charge of them was Conaniah the Levite, with Shimei his brother as second, 13while Jehiel, Azaziah, Nahath, Asahel, Jerimoth, Jozabad, Eliel, Ismachiah, Mahath, and Benaiah were overseers assisting Conaniah and Shimei his brother, by the appointment of Hezekiah the king and Azariah the chief officer of the house of God. 14And Kore the son of Imnah the Levite, keeper of the east gate, was over the freewill offerings to God, to apportion the contribution reserved for the Lord and the most holy offerings. 15Eden, Miniamin, Jeshua, Shemaiah, Amariah, and Shecaniah were faithfully assisting him in the cities of the priests, to distribute the portions to their brothers, old and young alike, by divisions, 16except those enrolled by genealogy, males from three years old and upward—all who entered the house of the Lord as the duty of each day required—for their service according to their offices, by their divisions. 17The enrollment of the priests was according to their fathers’ houses; that of the Levites from twenty years old and upward was according to their offices, by their divisions. 18They were enrolled with all their little children, their wives, their sons, and their daughters, the whole assembly, for they were faithful in keeping themselves holy. 19And for the sons of Aaron, the priests, who were in the fields of common land belonging to their cities, there were men in the several cities who were designated by name to distribute portions to every male among the priests and to everyone among the Levites who was enrolled.

20Thus Hezekiah did throughout all Judah, and he did what was good and right and faithful before the Lord his God. 21And every work that he undertook in the service of the house of God and in accordance with the law and the commandments, seeking his God, he did with all his heart, and prospered.
