제 13 장
하나님의 궤를 옮기다(삼하 6:1-11)
1 다윗이 천부장과 백부장 곧 모든 지휘관과 더불어 의논하고
2 다윗이 이스라엘의 온 회중에게 이르되 만일 너희가 좋게 여기고 또 우리의 하나님 여호와께로 말미암았으면 우리가 이스라엘 온 땅에 남아 있는 우리 형제와 또 초원이 딸린 성읍에 사는 제사장과 레위 사람에게 전령을 보내 그들을 우리에게로 모이게 하고
3 우리가 우리 하나님의 궤를 우리에게로 옮겨오자 사울 때에는 우리가 궤 앞에서 묻지 아니하였느니라 하매
4 뭇 백성의 눈이 이 일을 좋게 여기므로 온 회중이 그대로 행하겠다 한지라
5 이에 다윗이 애굽의 시홀 시내에서부터 하맛 어귀까지 온 이스라엘을 불러모으고 기럇여아림에서부터 하나님의 궤를 메어오고자 할새
6 다윗이 온 이스라엘을 거느리고 바알라 곧 유다에 속한 기럇여아림에 올라가서 여호와 하나님의 궤를 메어오려 하니 이는 여호와께서 두 그룹 사이에 계시므로 그러한 이름으로 일컬음을 받았더라
7 하나님의 궤를 새 수레에 싣고 아비나답의 집에서 나오는데 웃사와 아히오는 수레를 몰며
8 다윗과 이스라엘 온 무리는 하나님 앞에서 힘을 다하여 뛰놀며 노래하며 수금과 비파와 소고와 제금과 나팔로 연주하니라
9 기돈의 타작 마당에 이르러서는 소들이 뛰므로 웃사가 손을 펴서 궤를 붙들었더니
10 웃사가 손을 펴서 궤를 붙듦으로 말미암아 여호와께서 진노하사 치시매 그가 거기 하나님 앞에서 죽으니라
11 여호와께서 웃사의 몸을 찢으셨으므로 다윗이 노하여 그 곳을 베레스 웃사라 부르니 그 이름이 오늘까지 이르니라
12 그 날에 다윗이 하나님을 두려워하여 이르되 내가 어떻게 하나님의 궤를 내 곳으로 오게 하리요 하고
13 다윗이 궤를 옮겨 자기가 있는 다윗 성으로 메어들이지 못하고 그 대신 가드 사람 오벧에돔의 집으로 메어가니라
14 하나님의 궤가 오벧에돔의 집에서 그의 가족과 함께 석 달을 있으니라 여호와께서 오벧에돔의 집과 그의 모든 소유에 복을 내리셨더라

David propone trasladar el arca a Jerusalén
1Entonces David tomó consejo con los capitanes de millares y de centenas, y con todos los jefes. 2Y dijo David a toda la asamblea de Israel: Si os parece bien y si es la voluntad de Jehová nuestro Dios, enviaremos a todas partes por nuestros hermanos que han quedado en todas las tierras de Israel, y por los sacerdotes y levitas que están con ellos en sus ciudades y ejidos, para que se reúnan con nosotros; 3y traigamos el arca de nuestro Dios a nosotros, porque desde el tiempo de Saúl no hemos hecho caso de ella. 4Y dijo toda la asamblea que se hiciese así, porque la cosa parecía bien a todo el pueblo.
David intenta traer el arca
(2 S. 6.1-11)
5Entonces David reunió a todo Israel, desde Sihor de Egipto hasta la entrada de Hamat, para que trajesen el arca de Dios de Quiriat-jearim. 6Y subió David con todo Israel a Baala de Quiriat-jearim, que está en Judá, para pasar de allí el arca de Jehová Dios, que mora entre los querubines, sobre la cual su nombre es invocado. 7Y llevaron el arca de Dios de la casa de Abinadab en un carro nuevo; y Uza y Ahío guiaban el carro. 8Y David y todo Israel se regocijaban delante de Dios con todas sus fuerzas, con cánticos, arpas, salterios, tamboriles, címbalos y trompetas.
9Pero cuando llegaron a la era de Quidón, Uza extendió su mano al arca para sostenerla, porque los bueyes tropezaban. 10Y el furor de Jehová se encendió contra Uza, y lo hirió, porque había extendido su mano al arca; y murió allí delante de Dios. 11Y David tuvo pesar, porque Jehová había quebrantado a Uza; por lo que llamó aquel lugar Pérez-uza, hasta hoy. 12Y David temió a Dios aquel día, y dijo: ¿Cómo he de traer a mi casa el arca de Dios? 13Y no trajo David el arca a su casa en la ciudad de David, sino que la llevó a casa de Obed-edom geteo. 14Y el arca de Dios estuvo con la familia de Obed-edom, en su casa, tres meses; y bendijo Jehová la casa de Obed-edom, y todo lo que tenía.

The Ark Brought from Kiriath-Jearim
1David consulted with the commanders of thousands and of hundreds, with every leader. 2And David said to all the assembly of Israel, “If it seems good to you and from the Lord our God, let us send abroad to our brothers who remain in all the lands of Israel, as well as to the priests and Levites in the cities that have pasturelands, that they may be gathered to us. 3Then let us bring again the ark of our God to us, for we did not seek it in the days of Saul.” 4All the assembly agreed to do so, for the thing was right in the eyes of all the people.
Uzzah and the Ark
5 So David assembled all Israel from the Nile of Egypt to Lebo-hamath, to bring the ark of God from Kiriath-jearim. 6And David and all Israel went up to Baalah, that is, to Kiriath-jearim that belongs to Judah, to bring up from there the ark of God, which is called by the name of the Lord who sits enthroned above the cherubim. 7And they carried the ark of God on a new cart, from the house of Abinadab, and Uzzah and Ahio were driving the cart. 8And David and all Israel were celebrating before God with all their might, with song and lyres and harps and tambourines and cymbals and trumpets.
9And when they came to the threshing floor of Chidon, Uzzah put out his hand to take hold of the ark, for the oxen stumbled. 10And the anger of the Lord was kindled against Uzzah, and he struck him down because he put out his hand to the ark, and he died there before God. 11And David was angry because the Lord had broken out against Uzzah. And that place is called Perez-uzza to this day. 12And David was afraid of God that day, and he said, “How can I bring the ark of God home to me?” 13So David did not take the ark home into the city of David, but took it aside to the house of Obed-edom the Gittite. 14And the ark of God remained with the household of Obed-edom in his house three months. And the Lord blessed the household of Obed-edom and all that he had.
