하나님의 궤를 옮길 준비

1   다윗이 다윗 성에서 자기를 위하여 궁전을 세우고 또 하나님의 궤를 둘 곳을 마련하고 그것을 위하여 장막을 치고

2   다윗이 이르되 레위 사람 외에는 하나님의 궤를 멜 수 없나니 이는 여호와께서 그들을 택하사 여호와의 궤를 메고 영원히 그를 섬기게 하셨음이라 하고

3   다윗이 이스라엘 온 무리를 예루살렘으로 모으고 여호와의 궤를 그 마련한 곳으로 메어 올리고자 하여

4   다윗이 아론 자손과 레위 사람을 모으니

5   그핫 자손 중에 지도자 우리엘과 그의 형제가 백이십 명이요

6   므라리 자손 중에 지도자 아사야와 그의 형제가 이백이십 명이요

7   게르솜 자손 중에 지도자 요엘과 그의 형제가 백삼십 명이요

8   엘리사반 자손 중에 지도자 스마야와 그의 형제가 이백 명이요

9   헤브론 자손 중에 지도자 엘리엘과 그의 형제가 팔십 명이요

10   웃시엘 자손 중에 지도자 암미나답과 그의 형제가 백십이 명이라

11   다윗이 제사장 사독과 아비아달을 부르고 또 레위 사람 우리엘과 아사야와 요엘과 스마야와 엘리엘과 암미나답을 불러

12   그들에게 이르되 너희는 레위 사람의 지도자이니 너희와 너희 형제는 몸을 성결하게 하고 내가 마련한 곳으로 이스라엘의 하나님 여호와의 궤를 메어 올리라

13   전에는 너희가 메지 아니하였으므로 우리 하나님 여호와께서 우리를 찢으셨으니 이는 우리가 규례대로 그에게 구하지 아니하였음이라 하니

14   이에 제사장들과 레위 사람들이 이스라엘 하나님 여호와의 궤를 메고 올라가려 하여 몸을 성결하게 하고

15   모세가 여호와의 말씀을 따라 명령한 대로 레위 자손이 채에 하나님의 궤를 꿰어 어깨에 메니라

16   다윗이 레위 사람의 어른들에게 명령하여 그의 형제들을 노래하는 자들로 세우고 비파와 수금과 제금 등의 악기를 울려서 즐거운 소리를 크게 내라 하매

17   레위 사람이 요엘의 아들 헤만과 그의 형제 중 베레갸의 아들 아삽과 그의 형제 므라리 자손 중에 구사야의 아들 에단을 세우고

18   그 다음으로 그들의 형제 스가랴와 벤과 야아시엘과 스미라못과 여히엘과 운니와 엘리압과 브나야와 마아세야와 맛디디야와 엘리블레후와 믹네야와 문지기 오벧에돔과 여이엘을 세우니

19   노래하는 자 헤만과 아삽과 에단은 놋제금을 크게 치는 자요

20   스가랴와 아시엘과 스미라못과 여히엘과 운니와 엘리압과 마아세야와 브나야는 비파를 타서 알라못에 맞추는 자요

21   맛디디야와 엘리블레후와 믹네야와 오벧에돔과 여이엘과 아사시야는 수금을 타서 여덟째 음에 맞추어 인도하는 자요

22   레위 사람의 지도자 그나냐는 노래에 익숙하므로 노래를 인도하는 자요

23   베레갸와 엘가나는 궤 앞에서 문을 지키는 자요

24   제사장 스바냐와 요사밧과 느다넬과 아미새와 스가랴와 브나야와 엘리에셀은 하나님의 궤 앞에서 나팔을 부는 자요 오벧에돔과 여히야는 궤 앞에서 문을 지키는 자이더라

하나님의 궤를 예루살렘으로 옮기다(삼하 6:12-22)

25   이에 다윗과 이스라엘 장로들과 천부장들이 가서 여호와의 언약궤를 즐거이 메고 오벧에돔의 집에서 올라왔는데

26   하나님이 여호와의 언약궤를 멘 레위 사람을 도우셨으므로 무리가 수송아지 일곱 마리와 숫양 일곱 마리로 제사를 드렸더라

27   다윗과 및 궤를 멘 레위 사람과 노래하는 자와 그의 우두머리 그나냐와 모든 노래하는 자도 다 세마포 겉옷을 입었으며 다윗은 또 베 에봇을 입었고

28   이스라엘 무리는 크게 부르며 뿔나팔과 나팔을 불며 제금을 치며 비파와 수금을 힘있게 타며 여호와의 언약궤를 메어 올렸더라

29   여호와의 언약궤가 다윗 성으로 들어올 때에 사울의 딸 미갈이 창으로 내다보다가 다윗 왕이 춤추며 뛰노는 것을 보고 그 마음에 업신여겼더라

David trae el arca a Jerusalén

(2 S. 6.12-23)

1Hizo David también casas para sí en la ciudad de David, y arregló un lugar para el arca de Dios, y le levantó una tienda. 2Entonces dijo David: El arca de Dios no debe ser llevada sino por los levitas; porque a ellos ha elegido Jehová para que lleven el arca de Jehová, y le sirvan perpetuamente. 3Y congregó David a todo Israel en Jerusalén, para que pasasen el arca de Jehová a su lugar, el cual le había él preparado. 4Reunió también David a los hijos de Aarón y a los levitas; 5de los hijos de Coat, Uriel el principal, y sus hermanos, ciento veinte. 6De los hijos de Merari, Asaías el principal, y sus hermanos, doscientos veinte. 7De los hijos de Gersón, Joel el principal, y sus hermanos, ciento treinta. 8De los hijos de Elizafán, Semaías el principal, y sus hermanos, doscientos. 9De los hijos de Hebrón, Eliel el principal, y sus hermanos, ochenta. 10De los hijos de Uziel, Aminadab el principal, y sus hermanos, ciento doce. 11Y llamó David a los sacerdotes Sadoc y Abiatar, y a los levitas Uriel, Asaías, Joel, Semaías, Eliel y Aminadab, 12y les dijo: Vosotros que sois los principales padres de las familias de los levitas, santificaos, vosotros y vuestros hermanos, y pasad el arca de Jehová Dios de Israel al lugar que le he preparado; 13pues por no haberlo hecho así vosotros la primera vez, Jehová nuestro Dios nos quebrantó, por cuanto no le buscamos según su ordenanza. 14Así los sacerdotes y los levitas se santificaron para traer el arca de Jehová Dios de Israel. 15Y los hijos de los levitas trajeron el arca de Dios puesta sobre sus hombros en las barras, como lo había mandado Moisés, conforme a la palabra de Jehová.

16Asimismo dijo David a los principales de los levitas, que designasen de sus hermanos a cantores con instrumentos de música, con salterios y arpas y címbalos, que resonasen y alzasen la voz con alegría. 17Y los levitas designaron a Hemán hijo de Joel; y de sus hermanos, a Asaf hijo de Berequías; y de los hijos de Merari y de sus hermanos, a Etán hijo de Cusaías. 18Y con ellos a sus hermanos del segundo orden, a Zacarías, Jaaziel, Semiramot, Jehiel, Uni, Eliab, Benaía, Maasías, Matatías, Elifelehu, Micnías, Obed-edom y Jeiel, los porteros. 19Así Hemán, Asaf y Etán, que eran cantores, sonaban címbalos de bronce. 20Y Zacarías, Aziel, Semiramot, Jehiel, Uni, Eliab, Maasías y Benaía, con salterios sobre Alamot. 21Matatías, Elifelehu, Micnías, Obed-edom, Jeiel y Azazías tenían arpas afinadas en la octava para dirigir. 22Y Quenanías, principal de los levitas en la música, fue puesto para dirigir el canto, porque era entendido en ello. 23Berequías y Elcana eran porteros del arca. 24Y Sebanías, Josafat, Natanael, Amasai, Zacarías, Benaía y Eliezer, sacerdotes, tocaban las trompetas delante del arca de Dios; Obed-edom y Jehías eran también porteros del arca.

25David, pues, y los ancianos de Israel y los capitanes de millares, fueron a traer el arca del pacto de Jehová, de casa de Obed-edom, con alegría. 26Y ayudando Dios a los levitas que llevaban el arca del pacto de Jehová, sacrificaron siete novillos y siete carneros. 27Y David iba vestido de lino fino, y también todos los levitas que llevaban el arca, y asimismo los cantores; y Quenanías era maestro de canto entre los cantores. Llevaba también David sobre sí un efod de lino. 28De esta manera llevaba todo Israel el arca del pacto de Jehová, con júbilo y sonido de bocinas y trompetas y címbalos, y al son de salterios y arpas. 29Pero cuando el arca del pacto de Jehová llegó a la ciudad de David, Mical, hija de Saúl, mirando por una ventana, vio al rey David que saltaba y danzaba; y lo menospreció en su corazón.

The Ark Brought to Jerusalem

1David built houses for himself in the city of David. And he prepared a place for the ark of God and pitched a tent for it. 2Then David said that no one but the Levites may carry the ark of God, for the Lord had chosen them to carry the ark of the Lord and to minister to him forever. 3And David assembled all Israel at Jerusalem to bring up the ark of the Lord to its place, which he had prepared for it. 4And David gathered together the sons of Aaron and the Levites: 5of the sons of Kohath, Uriel the chief, with 120 of his brothers; 6of the sons of Merari, Asaiah the chief, with 220 of his brothers; 7of the sons of Gershom, Joel the chief, with 130 of his brothers; 8of the sons of Elizaphan, Shemaiah the chief, with 200 of his brothers; 9of the sons of Hebron, Eliel the chief, with 80 of his brothers; 10of the sons of Uzziel, Amminadab the chief, with 112 of his brothers. 11Then David summoned the priests Zadok and Abiathar, and the Levites Uriel, Asaiah, Joel, Shemaiah, Eliel, and Amminadab, 12and said to them, “You are the heads of the fathers’ houses of the Levites. Consecrate yourselves, you and your brothers, so that you may bring up the ark of the Lord, the God of Israel, to the place that I have prepared for it. 13Because you did not carry it the first time, the Lord our God broke out against us, because we did not seek him according to the rule.” 14So the priests and the Levites consecrated themselves to bring up the ark of the Lord, the God of Israel. 15And the Levites carried the ark of God on their shoulders with the poles, as Moses had commanded according to the word of the Lord.

16David also commanded the chiefs of the Levites to appoint their brothers as the singers who should play loudly on musical instruments, on harps and lyres and cymbals, to raise sounds of joy. 17So the Levites appointed Heman the son of Joel; and of his brothers Asaph the son of Berechiah; and of the sons of Merari, their brothers, Ethan the son of Kushaiah; 18and with them their brothers of the second order, Zechariah, Jaaziel, Shemiramoth, Jehiel, Unni, Eliab, Benaiah, Maaseiah, Mattithiah, Eliphelehu, and Mikneiah, and the gatekeepers Obed-edom and Jeiel. 19The singers, Heman, Asaph, and Ethan, were to sound bronze cymbals; 20Zechariah, Aziel, Shemiramoth, Jehiel, Unni, Eliab, Maaseiah, and Benaiah were to play harps according to Alamoth; 21but Mattithiah, Eliphelehu, Mikneiah, Obed-edom, Jeiel, and Azaziah were to lead with lyres according to the Sheminith. 22Chenaniah, leader of the Levites in music, should direct the music, for he understood it. 23Berechiah and Elkanah were to be gatekeepers for the ark. 24Shebaniah, Joshaphat, Nethanel, Amasai, Zechariah, Benaiah, and Eliezer, the priests, should blow the trumpets before the ark of God. Obed-edom and Jehiah were to be gatekeepers for the ark.

25 So David and the elders of Israel and the commanders of thousands went to bring up the ark of the covenant of the Lord from the house of Obed-edom with rejoicing. 26And because God helped the Levites who were carrying the ark of the covenant of the Lord, they sacrificed seven bulls and seven rams. 27David was clothed with a robe of fine linen, as also were all the Levites who were carrying the ark, and the singers and Chenaniah the leader of the music of the singers. And David wore a linen ephod. 28So all Israel brought up the ark of the covenant of the Lord with shouting, to the sound of the horn, trumpets, and cymbals, and made loud music on harps and lyres.

29And as the ark of the covenant of the Lord came to the city of David, Michal the daughter of Saul looked out of the window and saw King David dancing and celebrating, and she despised him in her heart.
