제 3 장
진노, 회개, 소망
1 여호와의 분노의 매로 말미암아 고난 당한 자는 나로다
2 나를 이끌어 어둠 안에서 걸어가게 하시고 빛 안에서 걸어가지 못하게 하셨으며
3 종일토록 손을 들어 자주자주 나를 치시는도다
4 나의 살과 가죽을 쇠하게 하시며 나의 뼈들을 꺾으셨고
5 고통과 수고를 쌓아 나를 에우셨으며
6 나를 어둠 속에 살게 하시기를 죽은 지 오랜 자 같게 하셨도다
7 나를 둘러싸서 나가지 못하게 하시고 내 사슬을 무겁게 하셨으며
8 내가 부르짖어 도움을 구하나 내 기도를 물리치시며
9 다듬은 돌을 쌓아 내 길들을 막으사 내 길들을 굽게 하셨도다
10 그는 내게 대하여 엎드려 기다리는 곰과 은밀한 곳에 있는 사자 같으사
11 나의 길들로 치우치게 하시며 내 몸을 찢으시며 나를 적막하게 하셨도다
12 활을 당겨 나를 화살의 과녁으로 삼으심이여
13 화살통의 화살들로 내 허리를 맞추셨도다
14 나는 내 모든 백성에게 조롱거리 곧 종일토록 그들의 노랫거리가 되었도다
15 나를 쓴 것들로 배불리시고 쑥으로 취하게 하셨으며
16 조약돌로 내 이들을 꺾으시고 재로 나를 덮으셨도다
17 주께서 내 심령이 평강에서 멀리 떠나게 하시니 내가 복을 내어버렸음이여
18 스스로 이르기를 나의 힘과 여호와께 대한 내 소망이 끊어졌다 하였도다
19 내 고초와 재난 곧 쑥과 담즙을 기억하소서
20 내 마음이 그것을 기억하고 내가 낙심이 되오나
21 이것을 내가 내 마음에 담아 두었더니 그것이 오히려 나의 소망이 되었사옴은
22 여호와의 인자와 긍휼이 무궁하시므로 우리가 진멸되지 아니함이니이다
23 이것들이 아침마다 새로우니 주의 성실하심이 크시도소이다
24 내 심령에 이르기를 여호와는 나의 기업이시니 그러므로 내가 그를 바라리라 하도다
25 기다리는 자들에게나 구하는 영혼들에게 여호와는 선하시도다
26 사람이 여호와의 구원을 바라고 잠잠히 기다림이 좋도다
27 사람은 젊었을 때에 멍에를 메는 것이 좋으니
28 혼자 앉아서 잠잠할 것은 주께서 그것을 그에게 메우셨음이라
29 그대의 입을 땅의 티끌에 댈지어다 혹시 소망이 있을지로다
30 자기를 치는 자에게 뺨을 돌려대어 치욕으로 배불릴지어다
31 이는 주께서 영원하도록 버리지 아니하실 것임이며
32 그가 비록 근심하게 하시나 그의 풍부한 인자하심에 따라 긍휼히 여기실 것임이라
33 주께서 인생으로 고생하게 하시며 근심하게 하심은 본심이 아니시로다
34 세상에 있는 모든 갇힌 자들을 발로 밟는 것과
35 지존자의 얼굴 앞에서 사람의 재판을 굽게 하는 것과
36 사람의 송사를 억울하게 하는 것은 다 주께서 기쁘게 보시는 것이 아니로다
37 주의 명령이 아니면 누가 이것을 능히 말하여 이루게 할 수 있으랴
38 화와 복이 지존자의 입으로부터 나오지 아니하느냐
39 살아 있는 사람은 자기 죄들 때문에 벌을 받나니 어찌 원망하랴
40 우리가 스스로 우리의 행위들을 조사하고 여호와께로 돌아가자
41 우리의 마음과 손을 아울러 하늘에 계신 하나님께 들자
42 우리의 범죄함과 우리의 반역함을 주께서 사하지 아니하시고
43 진노로 자신을 가리시고 우리를 추격하시며 죽이시고 긍휼을 베풀지 아니하셨나이다
44 주께서 구름으로 자신을 가리사 기도가 상달되지 못하게 하시고
45 우리를 뭇 나라 가운데에서 쓰레기와 폐물로 삼으셨으므로
46 우리의 모든 원수들이 우리를 향하여 그들의 입을 크게 벌렸나이다
47 두려움과 함정과 파멸과 멸망이 우리에게 임하였도다
48 딸 내 백성의 파멸로 말미암아 내 눈에는 눈물이 시내처럼 흐르도다
49 내 눈에 흐르는 눈물이 그치지 아니하고 쉬지 아니함이여
50 여호와께서 하늘에서 살피시고 돌아보실 때까지니라
51 나의 성읍의 모든 여자들을 내 눈으로 보니 내 심령이 상하는도다
52 나의 원수들이 이유없이 나를 새처럼 사냥하는도다
53 그들이 내 생명을 끊으려고 나를 구덩이에 넣고 그 위에 돌을 던짐이여
54 물이 내 머리 위로 넘치니 내가 스스로 이르기를 이제는 멸절되었다 하도다
55 여호와여 내가 심히 깊은 구덩이에서 주의 이름을 불렀나이다
56 주께서 이미 나의 음성을 들으셨사오니 이제 나의 탄식과 부르짖음에 주의 귀를 가리지 마옵소서
57 내가 주께 아뢴 날에 주께서 내게 가까이 하여 이르시되 두려워하지 말라 하셨나이다
58 주여 주께서 내 심령의 원통함을 풀어 주셨고 내 생명을 속량하셨나이다
59 여호와여 나의 억울함을 보셨사오니 나를 위하여 원통함을 풀어주옵소서
60 그들이 내게 보복하며 나를 모해함을 주께서 다 보셨나이다
61 여호와여 그들이 나를 비방하며 나를 모해하는 모든 것
62 곧 일어나 나를 치는 자들의 입술에서 나오는 것들과 종일 나를 모해하는 것들을 들으셨나이다
63 그들이 앉으나 서나 나를 조롱하여 노래하는 것을 주목하여 보옵소서
64 여호와여 주께서 그들의 손이 행한 대로 그들에게 보응하사
65 그들에게 거만한 마음을 주시고 그들에게 저주를 내리소서
66 주께서 진노로 그들을 뒤쫓으사 여호와의 하늘 아래에서 멸하소서

Esperanza de liberación por la misericordia de Dios
1Yo soy el hombre que ha visto aflicción bajo el látigo de su enojo.
2Me guio y me llevó en tinieblas, y no en luz;
3Ciertamente contra mí volvió y revolvió su mano todo el día.
4Hizo envejecer mi carne y mi piel; quebrantó mis huesos;
5Edificó baluartes contra mí, y me rodeó de amargura y de trabajo.
6Me dejó en oscuridad, como los ya muertos de mucho tiempo.
7Me cercó por todos lados, y no puedo salir; ha hecho más pesadas mis cadenas;
8Aun cuando clamé y di voces, cerró los oídos a mi oración;
9Cercó mis caminos con piedra labrada, torció mis senderos.
10Fue para mí como oso que acecha, como león en escondrijos;
11Torció mis caminos, y me despedazó; me dejó desolado.
12Entesó su arco, y me puso como blanco para la saeta.
13Hizo entrar en mis entrañas las saetas de su aljaba.
14Fui escarnio a todo mi pueblo, burla de ellos todos los días;
15Me llenó de amarguras, me embriagó de ajenjos.
16Mis dientes quebró con cascajo, me cubrió de ceniza;
17Y mi alma se alejó de la paz, me olvidé del bien,
18Y dije: Perecieron mis fuerzas, y mi esperanza en Jehová.
19Acuérdate de mi aflicción y de mi abatimiento, del ajenjo y de la hiel;
20Lo tendré aún en memoria, porque mi alma está abatida dentro de mí;
21Esto recapacitaré en mi corazón, por lo tanto esperaré.
22Por la misericordia de Jehová no hemos sido consumidos, porque nunca decayeron sus misericordias.
23Nuevas son cada mañana; grande es tu fidelidad.
24Mi porción es Jehová, dijo mi alma; por tanto, en él esperaré.
25Bueno es Jehová a los que en él esperan, al alma que le busca.
26Bueno es esperar en silencio la salvación de Jehová.
27Bueno le es al hombre llevar el yugo desde su juventud.
28Que se siente solo y calle, porque es Dios quien se lo impuso;
29Ponga su boca en el polvo, por si aún hay esperanza;
30Dé la mejilla al que le hiere, y sea colmado de afrentas.
31Porque el Señor no desecha para siempre;
32Antes si aflige, también se compadece según la multitud de sus misericordias;
33Porque no aflige ni entristece voluntariamente a los hijos de los hombres.
34Desmenuzar bajo los pies a todos los encarcelados de la tierra,
35Torcer el derecho del hombre delante de la presencia del Altísimo,
36Trastornar al hombre en su causa, el Señor no lo aprueba.
37¿Quién será aquel que diga que sucedió algo que el Señor no mandó?
38¿De la boca del Altísimo no sale lo malo y lo bueno?
39¿Por qué se lamenta el hombre viviente? Laméntese el hombre en su pecado.
40Escudriñemos nuestros caminos, y busquemos, y volvámonos a Jehová;
41Levantemos nuestros corazones y manos a Dios en los cielos;
42Nosotros nos hemos rebelado, y fuimos desleales; tú no perdonaste.
43Desplegaste la ira y nos perseguiste; mataste, y no perdonaste;
44Te cubriste de nube para que no pasase la oración nuestra;
45Nos volviste en oprobio y abominación en medio de los pueblos.
46Todos nuestros enemigos abrieron contra nosotros su boca;
47Temor y lazo fueron para nosotros, asolamiento y quebranto;
48Ríos de aguas echan mis ojos por el quebrantamiento de la hija de mi pueblo.
49Mis ojos destilan y no cesan, porque no hay alivio
50Hasta que Jehová mire y vea desde los cielos;
51Mis ojos contristaron mi alma por todas las hijas de mi ciudad.
52Mis enemigos me dieron caza como a ave, sin haber por qué;
53Ataron mi vida en cisterna, pusieron piedra sobre mí;
54Aguas cubrieron mi cabeza; yo dije: Muerto soy.
55Invoqué tu nombre, oh Jehová, desde la cárcel profunda;
56Oíste mi voz; no escondas tu oído al clamor de mis suspiros.
57Te acercaste el día que te invoqué; dijiste: No temas.
58Abogaste, Señor, la causa de mi alma; redimiste mi vida.
59Tú has visto, oh Jehová, mi agravio; defiende mi causa.
60Has visto toda su venganza, todos sus pensamientos contra mí.
61Has oído el oprobio de ellos, oh Jehová, todas sus maquinaciones contra mí;
62Los dichos de los que contra mí se levantaron, y su designio contra mí todo el día.
63Su sentarse y su levantarse mira; yo soy su canción.
64Dales el pago, oh Jehová, según la obra de sus manos.
65Entrégalos al endurecimiento de corazón; tu maldición caiga sobre ellos.
66Persíguelos en tu furor, y quebrántalos de debajo de los cielos, oh Jehová.

Great Is Your Faithfulness
1 I am the man who has seen affliction under the rod of his wrath; 2he has driven and brought me into darkness without any light; 3surely against me he turns his hand again and again the whole day long.
4He has made my flesh and my skin waste away; he has broken my bones; 5 he has besieged and enveloped me
with bitterness and tribulation; 6 he has made me dwell in darkness like the dead of long ago.
7 He has walled me about so that I cannot escape; he has made my chains heavy; 8though I call and cry for help,
he shuts out my prayer; 9 he has blocked my ways with blocks of stones; he has made my paths crooked.
10 He is a bear lying in wait for me, a lion in hiding; 11 he turned aside my steps and tore me to pieces; he has made me desolate; 12 he bent his bow and set me as a target for his arrow.
13He drove into my kidneys the arrows of his quiver; 14 I have become the laughingstock of all peoples, the object of their taunts all day long.
15 He has filled me with bitterness; he has sated me with wormwood.
16 He has made my teeth grind on gravel, and made me cower in ashes; 17my soul is bereft of peace; I have forgotten what happiness is; 18 so I say, “My endurance has perished; so has my hope from the Lord.”
19 Remember my affliction and my wanderings, the wormwood and the gall!
20My soul continually remembers it and is bowed down within me. 21But this I call to mind, and therefore I have hope: 22 The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; 23they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.
24 “The Lord is my portion,” says my soul, “therefore I will hope in him.”
25The Lord is good to those who wait for him, to the soul who seeks him.
26 It is good that one should wait quietly for the salvation of the Lord.
27 It is good for a man that he bear the yoke in his youth.
28Let him sit alone in silence when it is laid on him; 29 let him put his mouth in the dust— there may yet be hope; 30 let him give his cheek to the one who strikes, and let him be filled with insults.
31 For the Lord will not cast off forever, 32but, though he cause grief, he will have compassion according to the abundance of his steadfast love; 33 for he does not afflict from his heart or grieve the children of men.
34To crush underfoot all the prisoners of the earth, 35 to deny a man justice in the presence of the Most High, 36to subvert a man in his lawsuit, the Lord does not approve.
37 Who has spoken and it came to pass, unless the Lord has commanded it?
38 Is it not from the mouth of the Most High that good and bad come?
39 Why should a living man complain, a man, about the punishment of his sins?
40Let us test and examine our ways, and return to the Lord!
41 Let us lift up our hearts and hands to God in heaven: 42 “We have transgressed and rebelled, and you have not forgiven.
43“You have wrapped yourself with anger and pursued us, killing without pity; 44 you have wrapped yourself with a cloud so that no prayer can pass through.
45 You have made us scum and garbage among the peoples.
46 “All our enemies open their mouths against us; 47 panic and pitfall have come upon us, devastation and destruction; 48 my eyes flow with rivers of tears because of the destruction of the daughter of my people.
49 “My eyes will flow without ceasing, without respite, 50 until the Lord from heaven looks down and sees; 51my eyes cause me grief at the fate of all the daughters of my city.
52 “I have been hunted like a bird by those who were my enemies without cause; 53 they flung me alive into the pit and cast stones on me; 54 water closed over my head; I said, ‘I am lost.’
55 “I called on your name, O Lord, from the depths of the pit; 56 you heard my plea, ‘Do not close your ear to my cry for help!’
57 You came near when I called on you; you said, ‘Do not fear!’
58“You have taken up my cause, O Lord; you have redeemed my life.
59You have seen the wrong done to me, O Lord; judge my cause.
60You have seen all their vengeance, all their plots against me.
61 “You have heard their taunts, O Lord, all their plots against me.
62The lips and thoughts of my assailants are against me all the day long.
63 Behold their sitting and their rising; I am the object of their taunts.
64 “You will repay them, O Lord, according to the work of their hands.
65You will give them dullness of heart; your curse will be on them.
66You will pursue them in anger and destroy them from under your heavens, O Lord.”
