제 6 장
실제적 교훈
1 내 아들아 네가 만일 이웃을 위하여 담보하며 타인을 위하여 보증하였으면
2 네 입의 말로 네가 얽혔으며 네 입의 말로 인하여 잡히게 되었느니라
3 내 아들아 네가 네 이웃의 손에 빠졌은즉 이같이 하라 너는 곧 가서 겸손히 네 이웃에게 간구하여 스스로 구원하되
4 네 눈을 잠들게 하지 말며 눈꺼풀을 감기게 하지 말고
5 노루가 사냥꾼의 손에서 벗어나는 것 같이, 새가 그물 치는 자의 손에서 벗어나는 것 같이 스스로 구원하라
6 게으른 자여 개미에게 가서 그가 하는 것을 보고 지혜를 얻으라
7 개미는 두령도 없고 감독자도 없고 통치자도 없으되
8 먹을 것을 여름 동안에 예비하며 추수 때에 양식을 모으느니라
9 게으른 자여 네가 어느 때까지 누워 있겠느냐 네가 어느 때에 잠이 깨어 일어나겠느냐
10 좀더 자자, 좀더 졸자, 손을 모으고 좀더 누워 있자 하면
11 네 빈궁이 강도 같이 오며 네 곤핍이 군사 같이 이르리라
12 불량하고 악한 자는 구부러진 말을 하고 다니며
13 눈짓을 하며 발로 뜻을 보이며 손가락질을 하며
14 그의 마음에 패역을 품으며 항상 악을 꾀하여 다툼을 일으키는 자라
15 그러므로 그의 재앙이 갑자기 내려 당장에 멸망하여 살릴 길이 없으리라
16 여호와께서 미워하시는 것 곧 그의 마음에 싫어하시는 것이 예닐곱 가지이니
17 곧 교만한 눈과 거짓된 혀와 무죄한 자의 피를 흘리는 손과
18 악한 계교를 꾀하는 마음과 빨리 악으로 달려가는 발과
19 거짓을 말하는 망령된 증인과 및 형제 사이를 이간하는 자이니라
훈계와 명령
20 내 아들아 네 아비의 명령을 지키며 네 어미의 법을 떠나지 말고
21 그것을 항상 네 마음에 새기며 네 목에 매라
22 그것이 네가 다닐 때에 너를 인도하며 네가 잘 때에 너를 보호하며 네가 깰 때에 너와 더불어 말하리니
23 대저 명령은 등불이요 법은 빛이요 훈계의 책망은 곧 생명의 길이라
24 이것이 너를 지켜 악한 여인에게, 이방 여인의 혀로 호리는 말에 빠지지 않게 하리라
25 네 마음에 그의 아름다움을 탐하지 말며 그 눈꺼풀에 홀리지 말라
26 음녀로 말미암아 사람이 한 조각 떡만 남게 됨이며 음란한 여인은 귀한 생명을 사냥함이니라
27 사람이 불을 품에 품고서야 어찌 그의 옷이 타지 아니하겠으며
28 사람이 숯불을 밟고서야 어찌 그의 발이 데지 아니하겠느냐
29 남의 아내와 통간하는 자도 이와 같을 것이라 그를 만지는 자마다 벌을 면하지 못하리라
30 도둑이 만일 주릴 때에 배를 채우려고 도둑질하면 사람이 그를 멸시하지는 아니하려니와
31 들키면 칠 배를 갚아야 하리니 심지어 자기 집에 있는 것을 다 내주게 되리라
32 여인과 간음하는 자는 무지한 자라 이것을 행하는 자는 자기의 영혼을 망하게 하며
33 상함과 능욕을 받고 부끄러움을 씻을 수 없게 되나니
34 남편이 투기로 분노하여 원수 갚는 날에 용서하지 아니하고
35 어떤 보상도 받지 아니하며 많은 선물을 줄지라도 듣지 아니하리라
CAPÍTULO 6
Se mencionan seis cosas que Jehová aborrece — Los que cometen adulterio corrompen sus propias almas.
1 Hijo mío, si has salido afiador por tu amigo,si has bestrechado tu mano con un extraño,
2 te has enlazado con las palabras de tu boca,has quedado atrapado en los dichos de tu boca.
3 Haz esto ahora, hijo mío, y líbrate,ya que has caído en manos de tu prójimo;ve, humíllate e importuna a tu amigo.
4 No des sueño a tus ojosni adormecimiento a tus párpados;
5 escápate como la gacela de manos del cazador,y como el ave de manos del que tiende trampas.
6 Ve a la ahormiga, oh perezoso;mira sus caminos y sé sabio;
7 la cual, no teniendo capitán,ni gobernador ni señor,
8 prepara en el verano su comida,y recoge en el tiempo de la siega su sustento.
9 Perezoso, ¿hasta cuándo has de adormir?¿Cuándo te levantarás de tu sueño?
10. Un poco de sueño, un poco de dormitar,un poco de cruzar las manos para dormir,
11. así vendrá tu necesidad como caminante,y tu pobreza como hombre armado.
12. El hombre malo, el hombre inicuo,anda en perversidad de boca;
13. guiña los ojos, habla con sus pies,indica con sus dedos.
14. Perversidades hay en su corazón,anda pensando el mal en todo tiempo,siembra la discordia.
15. Por tanto, su calamidad vendrá de repente;súbitamente será quebrantado, y no habrá remedio.
16. Seis cosas aborrece Jehová,y aun siete abomina su alma:
17. Los aojos altivos, la lengua mentirosa,las manos derramadoras de sangre inocente,
18. el corazón que maquina pensamientos inicuos,los pies presurosos para correr al mal,
19. el testigo falso que habla mentiras,y el que siembra discordia entre hermanos.
20. Guarda, hijo mío, el mandamiento de tu padre,y no abandones la aenseñanza de tu madre;
21. átalos siempre en tu corazón,enlázalos a tu cuello.
22. Te guiarán cuando camines, cuando duermas te guardarán,y hablarán contigo cuando despiertes.
23. Porque el mandamiento es alámpara, y la enseñanza es luz;y camino de vida son las correcciones de la disciplina,
24. para guardarte de la mala mujer,de la suavidad de la lengua de la mujer extraña.
25. No acodicies su hermosura en tu corazón,ni te cautive ella con sus párpados,
26. porque a causa de la ramera el hombre es reducido a un bocado de pan,y la adúltera caza la preciosa alma del hombre.
27. ¿Tomará el hombre fuego en su senosin que sus vestidos se quemen?
28. ¿Andará el hombre sobre brasassin que se quemen sus pies?
29. Así le sucede al que se llega a la esposa de su prójimo;no quedará sin culpa ninguno que la toque.
30. No se desprecia al ladrón si robapara saciarse cuando tiene hambre,
31. pero si es sorprendido, apagará siete veces.Tendrá que dar todos los bienes de su casa.
32. Mas el que comete aadulterio con una mujer carece de entendimiento;corrompe su alma el que tal hace.
33. Heridas e aignominia hallará,y su afrenta nunca será borrada.
34. Porque los acelos son el furor del hombre,y no perdonará en el día de la venganza.
35. No aceptará compensación alguna,ni se contentará, aunque le multipliques los presentes.
CHAPTER 6
Six things that the Lord hates are named—Those who commit adultery destroy their own souls.
1 My son, if thou abe surety for thy friend, if thou hast stricken thy hand with a stranger,
2 Thou art snared with the words of thy mouth, thou art taken with the words of thy mouth.
3 Do this now, my son, and deliver thyself, when thou art come into the hand of thy friend; go, ahumble thyself, and make sure thy friend.
4 Give not sleep to thine eyes, nor slumber to thine eyelids.
5 Deliver thyself as a roe from the hand of the hunter, and as a bird from the hand of the fowler.
6 ¶ Go to the aant, thou bsluggard; consider her ways, and be wise:
7 Which having no guide, overseer, or ruler,
8 Provideth her meat in the summer, and gathereth her food in the harvest.
9 How long wilt thou asleep, O sluggard? when wilt thou arise out of thy sleep?
10 Yet a little sleep, a little slumber, a little folding of the hands to sleep:
11 So shall thy poverty come as one that travelleth, and thy want as an armed man.
12 ¶ A naughty person, a wicked man, walketh with a afroward mouth.
13 He winketh with his eyes, he speaketh with his feet, he teacheth with his fingers;
14 Frowardness is in his heart, he deviseth mischief continually; he soweth discord.
15 Therefore shall his calamity come suddenly; suddenly shall he be broken without aremedy.
16 ¶ These six things doth the Lord ahate: yea, seven are an abomination unto him:
17 A aproud look, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood,
18 An aheart that deviseth wicked imaginations, feet that be swift in running to mischief,
19 A afalse witness that speaketh blies, and he that soweth cdiscord among brethren.
20 ¶ My son, keep thy afather’s commandment, and forsake not the law of thy mother:
21 aBind them continually upon thine heart, and tie them about thy neck.
22 When thou goest, it shall lead thee; when thou sleepest, it shall keep thee; and when thou awakest, it shall talk with thee.
23 For the commandment is a alamp; and the law is light; and reproofs of instruction are the way of life:
24 To keep thee from the aevil bwoman, from the flattery of the tongue of a strange woman.
25 aLust not after her beauty in thine heart; neither let her take thee with her eyelids.
26 For by means of a whorish woman a man is brought to a piece of bread: and the adulteress will hunt for the precious life.
27 Can a man take fire in his bosom, and his clothes not be burned?
28 Can one go upon hot coals, and his feet not be burned?
29 So he that goeth in to his neighbour’s wife; whosoever toucheth her shall not be innocent.
30 Men do not despise a thief, if he asteal to satisfy his soul when he is hungry;
31 But if he be found, he shall arestore sevenfold; he shall give all the substance of his house.
32 But whoso committeth aadultery with a woman lacketh bunderstanding: he that doeth it destroyeth his own soul.
33 A wound and adishonour shall he get; and his reproach shall not be wiped away.
34 For ajealousy is the rage of a man: therefore he will not spare in the day of vengeance.
35 He will not regard any ransom; neither will he rest content, though thou givest many gifts.
