제 11 장
예루살렘에 들어가시다(마 21:1-11; 눅 19:28-40; 요 12:12-19)
1 그들이 예루살렘에 가까이 와서 감람 산 벳바게와 베다니에 이르렀을 때에 예수께서 제자 중 둘을 보내시며
2 이르시되 너희는 맞은편 마을로 가라 그리로 들어가면 곧 아직 아무도 타 보지 않은 나귀 새끼가 매여 있는 것을 보리니 풀어 끌고 오라
3 만일 누가 너희에게 왜 이렇게 하느냐 묻거든 주가 쓰시겠다 1)하라 그리하면 즉시 이리로 보내리라 하시니
4 제자들이 가서 본즉 나귀 새끼가 문 앞 거리에 매여 있는지라 그것을 푸니
5 거기 서 있는 사람 중 어떤 이들이 이르되 나귀 새끼를 풀어 무엇 하려느냐 하매
6 제자들이 예수께서 이르신 대로 말한대 이에 허락하는지라
7 나귀 새끼를 예수께로 끌고 와서 자기들의 겉옷을 그 위에 얹어 놓으매 예수께서 타시니
8 많은 사람들은 자기들의 겉옷을, 또 다른 이들은 들에서 벤 나뭇가지를 길에 펴며
9 앞에서 가고 뒤에서 따르는 자들이 소리 지르되 호산나 찬송하리로다 주의 이름으로 오시는 이여
10 찬송하리로다 오는 우리 조상 다윗의 나라여 가장 높은 곳에서 호산나 하더라
11 예수께서 예루살렘에 이르러 성전에 들어가사 모든 것을 둘러 보시고 때가 이미 저물매 열두 제자를 데리시고 베다니에 나가시니라
무화과나무에게 이르시다(마 21:18-19)
12 이튿날 그들이 베다니에서 나왔을 때에 예수께서 시장하신지라
13 멀리서 잎사귀 있는 한 무화과나무를 보시고 혹 그 나무에 무엇이 있을까 하여 가셨더니 가서 보신즉 잎사귀 외에 아무 것도 없더라 이는 무화과의 때가 아님이라
14 예수께서 나무에게 말씀하여 이르시되 이제부터 영원토록 사람이 네게서 열매를 따 먹지 못하리라 하시니 제자들이 이를 듣더라
성전을 깨끗하게 하시다(마 21:12-17; 눅 19:45-48; 요 2:13-22)
15 그들이 예루살렘에 들어가니라 예수께서 성전에 들어가사 성전 안에서 매매하는 자들을 내쫓으시며 돈 바꾸는 자들의 상과 비둘기 파는 자들의 의자를 둘러 엎으시며
16 아무나 물건을 가지고 성전 안으로 지나다님을 허락하지 아니하시고
17 이에 가르쳐 이르시되 기록된 바 ㄱ)내 집은 만민이 기도하는 집이라 칭함을 받으리라고 하지 아니하였느냐 너희는 ㄴ)강도의 소굴을 만들었도다 하시매
18 대제사장들과 서기관들이 듣고 예수를 어떻게 죽일까 하고 꾀하니 이는 무리가 다 그의 교훈을 놀랍게 여기므로 그를 두려워함일러라
19 그리고 날이 저물매 그들이 성 밖으로 나가더라
무화과나무가 마르다(마 21:20-22)
20 그들이 아침에 지나갈 때에 무화과나무가 뿌리째 마른 것을 보고
21 베드로가 생각이 나서 여짜오되 랍비여 보소서 저주하신 무화과나무가 말랐나이다
22 예수께서 그들에게 대답하여 이르시되 하나님을 믿으라
23 내가 진실로 너희에게 이르노니 누구든지 이 산더러 들리어 바다에 던져지라 하며 그 말하는 것이 이루어질 줄 믿고 마음에 의심하지 아니하면 그대로 되리라
24 그러므로 내가 너희에게 말하노니 무엇이든지 기도하고 구하는 것은 받은 줄로 믿으라 그리하면 너희에게 그대로 되리라
25 서서 기도할 때에 아무에게나 혐의가 있거든 용서하라 그리하여야 하늘에 계신 너희 아버지께서도 너희 허물을 사하여 주시리라 하시니라

예수의 권위를 두고 말하다(마 21:23-27; 눅 20:1-8)
27 그들이 다시 예루살렘에 들어가니라 예수께서 성전에서 거니실 때에 대제사장들과 서기관들과 장로들이 나아와
28 이르되 무슨 권위로 이런 일을 하느냐 누가 이런 일 할 권위를 주었느냐
29 예수께서 이르시되 나도 한 말을 너희에게 물으리니 대답하라 그리하면 나도 무슨 권위로 이런 일을 하는지 이르리라
30 요한의 3)침례가 하늘로부터냐 사람으로부터냐 내게 대답하라
31 그들이 서로 의논하여 이르되 만일 하늘로부터라 하면 어찌하여 그를 믿지 아니하였느냐 할 것이니
32 그러면 사람으로부터라 할까 하였으나 모든 사람이 요한을 참 선지자로 여기므로 그들이 백성을 두려워하는지라
33 이에 예수께 대답하여 이르되 우리가 알지 못하노라 하니 예수께서 이르시되 나도 무슨 권위로 이런 일을 하는지 너희에게 이르지 아니하리라 하시니라
CAPÍTULO 11
Jesús entra en Jerusalén en medio de aclamaciones de hosanna — Maldice una higuera, expulsa a los cambistas del templo y confunde a los escribas sobre el asunto de la autoridad.
1 Y cuando estaban cerca de Jerusalén, de Betfagé y de Betania, junto al monte de los Olivos, envió a dos de sus discípulos,
2 y les dijo: Id a la aldea que está delante de vosotros y, al entrar en ella, hallaréis un pollino atado, en el cual ningún hombre ha montado; desatadlo y traedlo.
3 Y si alguien os dice: ¿Por qué hacéis eso?, decid que el Señor lo necesita; y enseguida lo enviará acá.
4 Y fueron y hallaron el pollino atado afuera, a la puerta, en el recodo del camino, y lo desataron.
5 Y algunos de los que estaban allí les dijeron: ¿Qué hacéis desatando el pollino?
6 Ellos entonces les dijeron como Jesús había mandado, y los dejaron ir.
7 Y trajeron el apollino a Jesús, y echaron sobre aquel sus mantos, y se sentó sobre él.
8 También muchos tendían sus mantos por el camino, y otros cortaban ramas de los árboles y las tendían por el camino.
9 Y los que iban delante y los que venían detrás daban voces, diciendo: ¡aHosanna! ¡bBendito el que viene en el nombre del Señor!
10 ¡aBendito el reino de nuestro padre David que viene! ¡Hosanna en las alturas!
11 Y entró Jesús en Jerusalén y fue al templo; y habiendo mirado alrededor todas las cosas, y siendo ya tarde, salió para Betania con los doce.
12 Y al día siguiente, cuando salieron de Betania, tuvo hambre.
13 Y viendo a lo lejos una higuera que tenía hojas, se acercó para ver si hallaba en ella algo; y cuando llegó a ella, nada halló sino hojas, pues no era tiempo de higos.
14 Entonces Jesús habló y dijo a la higuera: ¡Nunca jamás coma nadie fruto de ti! Y lo oyeron sus discípulos.
15 Vinieron, pues, a Jerusalén; y entrando Jesús en el templo, comenzó a echar fuera a los que vendían y compraban en el templo; y volcó las mesas de los cambistas y las sillas de los que vendían palomas;
16 y no consentía que nadie atravesara el templo llevando utensilio alguno.
17 Y les enseñaba, diciendo: ¿No está escrito: Mi casa, casa de oración será llamada para todas las naciones? Pero vosotros la habéis hecho acueva de ladrones.
18 Y lo oyeron los escribas y los principales sacerdotes, y buscaban cómo aquitarle la vida; porque le tenían miedo, por cuanto todo el pueblo estaba maravillado de su doctrina.
19 Pero al llegar la noche, Jesús salió de la ciudad.
20 Y por la mañana, al pasar, vieron que la higuera se había secado desde las raíces.
21 Entonces Pedro, acordándose, le dijo: Maestro, he aquí la higuera que maldijiste se ha secado.
22 Y respondiendo Jesús, les dijo: Tened afe en Dios.
23 Porque de cierto os digo que cualquiera que diga a este monte: Quítate y échate al mar, y no adude en su corazón, sino que crea que será hecho lo que dice, lo que diga le será hecho.
24 Por tanto, os digo que todo lo que pidáis en aoración, bcreed que lo recibiréis, y os vendrá.
25 Y cuando estéis orando, perdonad, si tenéis algo contra alguno, para que también vuestro Padre que está en los cielos aos perdone a vosotros vuestras ofensas.
26 Porque si vosotros no aperdonáis, tampoco vuestro Padre que está en los cielos os perdonará vuestras ofensas.
27 Y volvieron a Jerusalén; y andando él por el templo, vinieron a él los principales sacerdotes, y los escribas y los ancianos;
28 y le dijeron: ¿Con qué aautoridad haces estas cosas? ¿Y quién te ha dado autoridad para hacer estas cosas?
29 Y Jesús, respondiendo, les dijo: Os haré también yo una pregunta; y respondedme, y os diré con qué autoridad hago estas cosas:
30 El bautismo de Juan, ¿era del cielo o de los hombres? Respondedme.
31 Entonces ellos discutían entre sí, diciendo: Si decimos del cielo, dirá: ¿Por qué, pues, no le creísteis?
32 Y si decimos de los hombres. Temían al pueblo, porque todos consideraban que Juan verdaderamente era profeta.
33 Y respondiendo, dijeron a Jesús: No sabemos. Entonces respondiendo Jesús, les dijo: Tampoco yo os diré con qué autoridad hago estas cosas.
CHAPTER 11
Jesus rides into Jerusalem amid shouts of hosanna—He curses a fig tree, drives the money changers from the temple, and confounds the scribes on the matter of authority.
1 And when they came nigh to Jerusalem, unto Bethphage and Bethany, at the mount of Olives, he sendeth forth two of his disciples,
2 And saith unto them, Go your way into the village over against you: and as soon as ye be entered into it, ye shall find a colt tied, whereon never man sat; loose him, and bring him.
3 And if any man say unto you, Why do ye this? say ye that the Lord hath need of him; and straightway he will send him hither.
4 And they went their way, and found the colt tied by the door without in a place where two ways met; and they loose him.
5 And certain of them that stood there said unto them, What do ye, loosing the colt?
6 And they said unto them even as Jesus had commanded: and they let them go.
7 And they brought the acolt to Jesus, and cast their garments on him; and he sat upon him.
8 And many spread their garments in the way: and others cut down branches off the trees, and strawed them in the way.
9 And they that went before, and they that followed, cried, saying, Hosanna; aBlessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord:
10 aBlessed be the kingdom of our father David, that cometh in the name of the Lord: Hosanna in the highest.
11 And Jesus entered into Jerusalem, and into the temple: and when he had looked round about upon all things, and now the eventide was come, he went out unto Bethany with the twelve.
12 ¶ And on the morrow, when they were come from Bethany, he was hungry:
13 And seeing a fig tree afar off having leaves, he came, if haply he might find any thing thereon: and when he came to it, he found nothing but leaves; for the time of figs was not yet.
14 And Jesus answered and said unto it, No man eat fruit of thee hereafter for ever. And his disciples heard it.
15 ¶ And they come to Jerusalem: and Jesus went into the temple, and began to cast out them that sold and bought in the temple, and overthrew the tables of the moneychangers, and the seats of them that sold doves;
16 And would not suffer that any man should carry any vessel through the temple.
17 And he taught, saying unto them, Is it not written, My house shall be called of all nations the house of prayer? but ye have made it a den of thieves.
18 And the scribes and chief priests heard it, and sought how they might adestroy him: for they feared him, because all the people was astonished at his doctrine.
19 And when even was come, he went out of the city.
20 ¶ And in the morning, as they passed by, they saw the fig tree dried up from the roots.
21 And Peter calling to remembrance saith unto him, Master, behold, the fig tree which thou cursedst is withered away.
22 And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have afaith in God.
23 For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not adoubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.
24 Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye apray, bbelieve that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.
25 And when ye stand apraying, forgive, if ye have ought against any: that your Father also which is in heaven may bforgive you your trespasses.
26 But if ye do not aforgive, neither will your Father which is in heaven forgive your trespasses.
27 ¶ And they come again to Jerusalem: and as he was walking in the temple, there come to him the chief priests, and the scribes, and the elders,
28 And say unto him, By what aauthority doest thou these things? and who gave thee this authority to do these things?
29 And Jesus answered and said unto them, I will also ask of you one question, and answer me, and I will tell you by what authority I do these things.
30 The baptism of John, was it from heaven, or of men? answer me.
31 And they reasoned with themselves, saying, If we shall say, From heaven; he will say, Why then did ye not believe him?
32 But if we shall say, Of men; they feared the people: for all men counted John, that he was a prophet indeed.
33 And they answered and said unto Jesus, We cannot tell. And Jesus answering saith unto them, Neither do I tell you by what authority I do these things.
