제 14 장
수종병 든 사람을 고치시다
1 안식일에 예수께서 한 바리새인 지도자의 집에 떡 잡수시러 들어가시니 그들이 엿보고 있더라
2 주의 앞에 수종병 든 한 사람이 있는지라
3 예수께서 대답하여 율법교사들과 바리새인들에게 이르시되 안식일에 병 고쳐 주는 것이 합당하냐 아니하냐
4 그들이 잠잠하거늘 예수께서 그 사람을 데려다가 고쳐 보내시고
5 또 그들에게 이르시되 너희 중에 누가 그 아들이나 소가 우물에 빠졌으면 안식일에라도 곧 끌어내지 않겠느냐 하시니
6 그들이 이에 대하여 대답하지 못하니라
끝자리에 앉으라
7 청함을 받은 사람들이 높은 자리 택함을 보시고 그들에게 비유로 말씀하여 이르시되
8 네가 누구에게나 혼인 잔치에 청함을 받았을 때에 높은 자리에 앉지 말라 그렇지 않으면 너보다 더 높은 사람이 청함을 받은 경우에
9 너와 그를 청한 자가 와서 너더러 이 사람에게 자리를 내주라 하리니 그 때에 네가 부끄러워 끝자리로 가게 되리라
10 청함을 받았을 때에 차라리 가서 끝자리에 앉으라 그러면 너를 청한 자가 와서 너더러 벗이여 올라 앉으라 하리니 그 때에야 함께 앉은 모든 사람 앞에서 영광이 있으리라
11 무릇 자기를 높이는 자는 낮아지고 자기를 낮추는 자는 높아지리라
12 또 자기를 청한 자에게 이르시되 네가 점심이나 저녁이나 베풀거든 벗이나 형제나 친척이나 부한 이웃을 청하지 말라 두렵건대 그 사람들이 너를 도로 청하여 네게 갚음이 될까 하노라
13 잔치를 베풀거든 차라리 가난한 자들과 몸 불편한 자들과 저는 자들과 맹인들을 청하라
14 그리하면 그들이 갚을 것이 없으므로 네게 복이 되리니 이는 의인들의 부활시에 네가 갚음을 받겠음이라 하시더라
큰 잔치 비유(마 22:1-10)
15 함께 먹는 사람 중의 하나가 이 말을 듣고 이르되 무릇 하나님의 나라에서 떡을 먹는 자는 복되도다 하니
16 이르시되 어떤 사람이 큰 잔치를 베풀고 많은 사람을 청하였더니
17 잔치할 시각에 그 청하였던 자들에게 종을 보내어 이르되 오소서 모든 것이 준비되었나이다 하매
18 다 일치하게 사양하여 한 사람은 이르되 나는 밭을 샀으매 아무래도 나가 보아야 하겠으니 청컨대 나를 양해하도록 하라 하고
19 또 한 사람은 이르되 나는 소 다섯 겨리를 샀으매 시험하러 가니 청컨대 나를 양해하도록 하라 하고
20 또 한 사람은 이르되 나는 장가 들었으니 그러므로 가지 못하겠노라 하는지라
21 종이 돌아와 주인에게 그대로 고하니 이에 집 주인이 노하여 그 종에게 이르되 빨리 시내의 거리와 골목으로 나가서 가난한 자들과 몸 불편한 자들과 맹인들과 저는 자들을 데려오라 하니라
22 종이 이르되 주인이여 명하신 대로 하였으되 아직도 자리가 있나이다
23 주인이 종에게 이르되 길과 산울타리 가로 나가서 사람을 강권하여 데려다가 내 집을 채우라
24 내가 너희에게 말하노니 전에 청하였던 그 사람들은 하나도 내 잔치를 맛보지 못하리라 하였다 하시니라
제자가 되는 길(마 5:13; 막 9:50)
25 수많은 무리가 함께 갈새 예수께서 돌이키사 이르시되
26 무릇 내게 오는 자가 자기 부모와 처자와 형제와 자매와 더욱이 자기 목숨까지 미워하지 아니하면 능히 내 제자가 되지 못하고
27 누구든지 자기 십자가를 지고 나를 따르지 않는 자도 능히 내 제자가 되지 못하리라
28 너희 중의 누가 망대를 세우고자 할진대 자기의 가진 것이 준공하기까지에 족할는지 먼저 앉아 그 비용을 계산하지 아니하겠느냐
29 그렇게 아니하여 그 기초만 쌓고 능히 이루지 못하면 보는 자가 다 비웃어
30 이르되 이 사람이 공사를 시작하고 능히 이루지 못하였다 하리라
31 또 어떤 임금이 다른 임금과 싸우러 갈 때에 먼저 앉아 일만 명으로써 저 이만 명을 거느리고 오는 자를 대적할 수 있을까 헤아리지 아니하겠느냐
32 만일 못할 터이면 그가 아직 멀리 있을 때에 사신을 보내어 화친을 청할지니라
33 이와 같이 너희 중의 누구든지 자기의 모든 소유를 버리지 아니하면 능히 내 제자가 되지 못하리라
34 소금이 좋은 것이나 소금도 만일 그 맛을 잃으면 무엇으로 짜게 하리요
35 땅에도, 거름에도 쓸 데 없어 내버리느니라 들을 귀가 있는 자는 들을지어다 하시니라
CAPÍTULO 14
Jesús vuelve a sanar en el día de reposo — Enseña acerca de la humildad y enseña la parábola de la gran cena — Quienes le sigan deben renunciar a todo.
1 Y aconteció un día de reposo que, habiendo entrado en casa de un principal de los fariseos a comer pan, ellos le acechaban.
2 Y he aquí, un hombre hidrópico estaba delante de él.
3 Y respondiendo Jesús, habló a los intérpretes de la ley y a los fariseos, diciendo: ¿Es lícito sanar en el adía de reposo?
4 Pero ellos callaron. Entonces él, tomándole, le sanó y le despidió.
5 Y respondiendo a ellos, dijo: ¿Quién de vosotros, si su asno o su buey cae en algún pozo, no lo saca inmediatamente aunque sea en día de reposo?
6 Y no le podían replicar a estas cosas.
7 Y observando cómo los convidados escogían los aprimeros asientos a la mesa, relató una parábola, diciéndoles:
8 Cuando seas convidado por alguno a una boda, no te sientes en el primer lugar, no sea que otro más honorable que tú esté convidado por él,
9 y viniendo el que os convidó a ti y a él, te diga: Da lugar a este; y entonces tengas, con vergüenza, que ocupar el último lugar.
10 Mas cuando seas convidado, ve y siéntate en el apostrer lugar, para que cuando venga el que te convidó, te diga: Amigo, bsube más arriba; entonces tendrás cgloria delante de los que se sientan contigo a la mesa.
11 Porque cualquiera que se aensalza será bhumillado; y el que se chumilla será densalzado.
12 Y dijo también al que le había convidado: Cuando hagas comida o cena, no llames a tus amigos, ni a tus hermanos, ni a tus parientes ni a tus vecinos ricos, no sea que ellos, a su vez, te vuelvan a convidar, y seas recompensado.
13 Mas cuando hagas banquete, llama a los apobres, a los mancos, a los cojos y a los ciegos;
14 y serás abienaventurado, porque ellos no te pueden bretribuir; pero te será recompensado en la cresurrección de los justos.
15 Y oyendo esto uno de los que estaban sentados con él a la mesa, le dijo: ¡Bienaventurado el que acoma pan en el reino de Dios!
16 Entonces Jesús le dijo: Un hombre hizo una gran cena y convidó a muchos.
17 Y a la hora de la cena envió a su siervo a decir a los convidados: Venid, que ya está todo preparado.
18 Pero todos a una comenzaron a aexcusarse. El primero le dijo: He comprado una hacienda y necesito ir a verla; te ruego que me disculpes.
19 Y el otro dijo: He comprado cinco yuntas de bueyes y voy a probarlos; te ruego que me disculpes.
20 Y el otro dijo: Acabo de casarme y, por tanto, no puedo ir.
21 Y volvió el siervo e hizo saber estas cosas a su señor. Entonces, enojado el padre de familia, dijo a su siervo: Ve pronto por las plazas y por las calles de la ciudad, y trae acá a los pobres, a los mancos, y a los cojos y a los ciegos.
22 Y dijo el siervo: Señor, se ha hecho como mandaste y aún hay lugar.
23 Y dijo el señor al siervo: Ve por los caminos y por los avallados, y oblígalos a entrar para que se llene mi casa.
24 Pues os digo que aninguno de aquellos hombres que fueron convidados gustará mi cena.
25 Y mucha gente iba con él; y volviéndose, él les dijo:
26 Si alguno viene a mí y no aaborrece a su padre, madre, esposa, hijos, hermanos, hermanas by aun también su propia cvida, no puede ser mi ddiscípulo.
27 Y el que no lleva su acruz y viene en pos de mí no puede ser mi bdiscípulo.
28 Porque, ¿quién de vosotros, queriendo edificar una torre, no se sienta primero y calcula los gastos, para ver si tiene lo que necesita para acabarla?
29 No sea que después que haya puesto el fundamento, y no pueda acabarla, todos los que lo vean comiencen a hacer burla de él,
30 diciendo: Este hombre comenzó a edificar y no pudo aacabar.
31 ¿O qué rey, habiendo de ir a hacer la guerra contra otro rey, no se sienta primero y aconsidera si puede salir con diez mil al encuentro del que viene contra él con veinte mil?
32 De otra manera, cuando aún el otro está lejos, le envía una embajada y le pide condiciones de paz.
33 Así, pues, cualquiera de vosotros que no arenuncie a todas las cosas que posee no puede ser mi discípulo.
34 aBuena es la sal; pero si la bsal pierde su sabor, ¿con qué se sazonará?
35 Ni para la tierra ni para el muladar es buena; la arrojan fuera. El que tiene oídos para oír, oiga.
CHAPTER 14
Jesus again heals on the Sabbath—He teaches humility and gives the parable of the great supper—Those who follow Him must forsake all else.
1 And it came to pass, as he went into the house of one of the chief Pharisees to eat bread on the sabbath day, that they watched him.
2 And, behold, there was a certain man before him which had the dropsy.
3 And Jesus answering spake unto the lawyers and Pharisees, saying, Is it lawful to heal on the sabbath day?
4 And they held their peace. And he took him, and healed him, and let him go;
5 And answered them, saying, Which of you shall have an ass or an ox fallen into a pit, and will not straightway pull him out on the asabbath day?
6 And they could not answer him again to these things.
7 ¶ And he put forth a parable to those which were bidden, when he marked how they chose out the achief rooms; saying unto them,
8 When thou art abidden of any man to a wedding, sit not down in the highest room; lest a more honourable man than thou be bidden of him;
9 And he that bade thee and him come and say to thee, Give this man place; and thou begin with shame to take the lowest room.
10 But when thou art bidden, go and sit down in the alowest room; that when he that bade thee cometh, he may say unto thee, Friend, go up bhigher: then shalt thou have cworship in the presence of them that sit at meat with thee.
11 For whosoever aexalteth himself shall be babased; and he that chumbleth himself shall be exalted.
12 ¶ Then said he also to him that bade him, When thou makest a dinner or a supper, call not thy friends, nor thy brethren, neither thy kinsmen, nor thy rich neighbours; lest they also bid thee again, and a recompence be made thee.
13 But when thou makest a feast, call the apoor, the maimed, the lame, the blind:
14 And thou shalt be ablessed; for they cannot recompense thee: for thou shalt be brecompensed at the cresurrection of the just.
15 ¶ And when one of them that sat at meat with him heard these things, he said unto him, Blessed is he that shall aeat bbread in the kingdom of God.
16 Then said he unto him, A certain man made a great supper, and bade many:
17 And sent his servant at supper time to say to them that were bidden, Come; for all things are now ready.
18 And they all with one consent began to make aexcuse. The first said unto him, I have bought a piece of ground, and I must needs go and see it: I pray thee have me excused.
19 And another said, I have bought five yoke of oxen, and I go to prove them: I pray thee have me excused.
20 And another said, I have married a wife, and therefore I cannot come.
21 So that servant came, and shewed his lord these things. Then the master of the house being angry said to his servant, Go out quickly into the streets and lanes of the city, and bring in hither the poor, and the maimed, and the ahalt, and the blind.
22 And the servant said, Lord, it is done as thou hast commanded, and yet there is room.
23 And the alord said unto the servant, Go out into the highways and bhedges, and ccompel them to come in, that my house may be filled.
24 For I say unto you, That anone of those men which were bidden shall taste of my supper.
25 ¶ And there went great multitudes with him: and he turned, and said unto them,
26 If any man come to me, and ahate not his father, and mother, and wife, and children, and brethren, and sisters, byea, and his own clife also, he cannot be my ddisciple.
27 And whosoever doth not bear his across, and come after me, cannot be my bdisciple.
28 For which of you, intending to build a tower, sitteth not down first, and acounteth the bcost, whether he have sufficient to cfinish it?
29 Lest ahaply, after he hath laid the foundation, and is not able to finish it, all that behold it begin to mock him,
30 Saying, This man began to build, and was not able to afinish.
31 Or what king, going to make war against another king, sitteth not down first, and aconsulteth whether he be able with ten thousand to meet him that cometh against him with twenty thousand?
32 Or else, while the other is yet a great way off, he sendeth an aambassage, and desireth conditions of peace.
33 So likewise, whosoever he be of you that aforsaketh not all that he hath, he cannot be my bdisciple.
34 ¶ aSalt is good: but if the bsalt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be seasoned?
35 It is neither fit for the land, nor yet for the dunghill; but men cast it out. He that hath ears to hear, let him hear.
