제 18 장
과부와 재판장 비유
1 예수께서 그들에게 항상 기도하고 낙심하지 말아야 할 것을 비유로 말씀하여
2 이르시되 어떤 도시에 하나님을 두려워하지 않고 사람을 무시하는 한 재판장이 있는데
3 그 도시에 한 과부가 있어 자주 그에게 가서 내 원수에 대한 나의 원한을 풀어 주소서 하되
4 그가 얼마 동안 듣지 아니하다가 후에 속으로 생각하되 내가 하나님을 두려워하지 않고 사람을 무시하나
5 이 과부가 나를 번거롭게 하니 내가 그 원한을 풀어 주리라 그렇지 않으면 늘 와서 나를 괴롭게 하리라 하였느니라
6 주께서 또 이르시되 불의한 재판장이 말한 것을 들으라
7 하물며 하나님께서 그 밤낮 부르짖는 택하신 자들의 원한을 풀어 주지 아니하시겠느냐 그들에게 오래 참으시겠느냐
8 내가 너희에게 이르노니 속히 그 원한을 풀어 주시리라 그러나 인자가 올 때에 세상에서 믿음을 보겠느냐 하시니라
바리새인과 세리 비유
9 또 자기를 의롭다고 믿고 다른 사람을 멸시하는 자들에게 이 비유로 말씀하시되
10 두 사람이 기도하러 성전에 올라가니 하나는 바리새인이요 하나는 세리라
11 바리새인은 서서 따로 기도하여 이르되 하나님이여 나는 다른 사람들 곧 토색, 불의, 간음을 하는 자들과 같지 아니하고 이 세리와도 같지 아니함을 감사하나이다
12 나는 이레에 두 번씩 금식하고 또 소득의 십일조를 드리나이다 하고
13 세리는 멀리 서서 감히 눈을 들어 하늘을 쳐다보지도 못하고 다만 가슴을 치며 이르되 하나님이여 불쌍히 여기소서 나는 죄인이로소이다 하였느니라
14 내가 너희에게 이르노니 이에 저 바리새인이 아니고 이 사람이 의롭다 하심을 받고 그의 집으로 내려갔느니라 무릇 자기를 높이는 자는 낮아지고 자기를 낮추는 자는 높아지리라 하시니라
어린 아이들을 금하지 말라(마 19:13-15; 막 10:13-16)
15 사람들이 예수께서 만져 주심을 바라고 자기 어린 아기를 데리고 오매 제자들이 보고 꾸짖거늘
16 예수께서 그 어린 아이들을 불러 가까이 하시고 이르시되 어린 아이들이 내게 오는 것을 용납하고 금하지 말라 하나님의 나라가 이런 자의 것이니라
17 내가 진실로 너희에게 이르노니 누구든지 하나님의 나라를 어린 아이와 같이 받아들이지 않는 자는 결단코 거기 들어가지 못하리라 하시니라
부자 관리(마 19:16-30; 막 10:17-31)
18 어떤 관리가 물어 이르되 선한 선생님이여 내가 무엇을 하여야 영생을 얻으리이까
19 예수께서 이르시되 네가 어찌하여 나를 선하다 일컫느냐 하나님 한 분 외에는 선한 이가 없느니라
20 네가 계명을 아나니 ㄱ)간음하지 말라, 살인하지 말라, 도둑질하지 말라, 거짓 증언 하지 말라, 네 부모를 공경하라 하였느니라
21 여짜오되 이것은 내가 어려서부터 다 지키었나이다
22 예수께서 이 말을 들으시고 이르시되 네게 아직도 한 가지 부족한 것이 있으니 네게 있는 것을 다 팔아 가난한 자들에게 나눠 주라 그리하면 하늘에서 네게 보화가 있으리라 그리고 와서 나를 따르라 하시니
23 그 사람이 큰 부자이므로 이 말씀을 듣고 심히 근심하더라
24 예수께서 그를 보시고 이르시되 재물이 있는 자는 하나님의 나라에 들어가기가 얼마나 어려운지
25 낙타가 바늘귀로 들어가는 것이 부자가 하나님의 나라에 들어가는 것보다 쉬우니라 하시니
26 듣는 자들이 이르되 그런즉 누가 구원을 얻을 수 있나이까
27 이르시되 무릇 사람이 할 수 없는 것을 하나님은 하실 수 있느니라
28 베드로가 여짜오되 보옵소서 우리가 우리의 것을 다 버리고 주를 따랐나이다
29 이르시되 내가 진실로 너희에게 이르노니 하나님의 나라를 위하여 집이나 아내나 형제나 부모나 자녀를 버린 자는
30 현세에 여러 배를 받고 내세에 영생을 받지 못할 자가 없느니라 하시니라
죽음과 부활을 다시 이르시다(마 20:17-19; 막 10:32-34)
31 예수께서 열두 제자를 데리시고 이르시되 보라 우리가 예루살렘으로 올라가노니 선지자들을 통하여 기록된 모든 것이 인자에게 응하리라
32 인자가 이방인들에게 넘겨져 희롱을 당하고 능욕을 당하고 침 뱉음을 당하겠으며
33 그들은 채찍질하고 그를 죽일 것이나 그는 삼 일 만에 살아나리라 하시되
34 제자들이 이것을 하나도 깨닫지 못하였으니 그 말씀이 감취었으므로 그들이 그 이르신 바를 알지 못하였더라
맹인을 고치시다(마 20:29-34; 막 10:46-52)
35 여리고에 가까이 가셨을 때에 한 맹인이 길 가에 앉아 구걸하다가
36 무리가 지나감을 듣고 이 무슨 일이냐고 물은대
37 그들이 나사렛 예수께서 지나가신다 하니
38 맹인이 외쳐 이르되 다윗의 자손 예수여 나를 불쌍히 여기소서 하거늘
39 앞서 가는 자들이 그를 꾸짖어 잠잠하라 하되 그가 더욱 크게 소리 질러 다윗의 자손이여 나를 불쌍히 여기소서 하는지라
40 예수께서 머물러 서서 명하여 데려오라 하셨더니 그가 가까이 오매 물어 이르시되
41 네게 무엇을 하여 주기를 원하느냐 이르되 주여 보기를 원하나이다
42 예수께서 그에게 이르시되 보라 네 믿음이 너를 구원하였느니라 하시매
43 곧 보게 되어 하나님께 영광을 돌리며 예수를 따르니 백성이 다 이를 보고 하나님을 찬양하니라
CAPÍTULO 18
Jesús enseña la parábola del juez injusto y la del fariseo y el publicano — Invita a los niños a ir a Él y enseña cómo obtener la vida eterna — Habla de Su futura muerte y de Su resurrección y devuelve la vista a un ciego.
1 Y Jesús les relató también una parábola sobre la necesidad de orar siempre y no desmayar,
2 diciendo: Había en una ciudad un juez que no temía a Dios ni respetaba a hombre.
3 Había también en aquella ciudad una viuda, la cual venía a él, diciendo: Hazme justicia contra mi adversario.
4 Y él no quiso por algún tiempo; pero después de esto, dijo dentro de sí: Aunque no temo a Dios ni tengo respeto a hombre,
5 sin embargo, porque esta viuda me es molesta, le haré justicia, no sea que, viniendo de continuo, me agote la paciencia.
6 Y dijo el Señor: Oíd lo que dijo el juez injusto.
7 ¿Y no hará Dios justicia a sus escogidos que claman a él día y noche aunque sea longánimo aacerca de ellos?
8 aOs digo que pronto les hará justicia. Pero cuando venga el Hijo del Hombre, ¿hallará fe en la tierra?
9 Y a unos que aconfiaban en sí mismos como justos, y bmenospreciaban a los otros, dijo también esta parábola:
10 Dos hombres subieron al templo a orar; uno era fariseo y el otro, publicano.
11 El fariseo, de pie, oraba para sí de esta manera: Dios, te doy gracias porque ano soy como los otros hombres: ladrones, injustos, adúlteros, ni aun como este publicano;
12 aayuno dos veces a la semana, doy bdiezmos de todo lo que gano.
13 Pero el publicano, estando lejos, no quería ni aun alzar los ojos al cielo, sino que se golpeaba el pecho, diciendo: Dios, ten compasión de mí, apecador.
14 Os digo que este descendió a su casa justificado antes que el otro, porque cualquiera que ase ensalza será humillado, y el que bse humilla será ensalzado.
15 Y traían a él los niños para que los tocase, lo cual, al ver los discípulos, los reprendían.
16 Mas Jesús, llamándolos, dijo: Dejad a los niños venir a mí y no se lo impidáis, porque de los tales es el reino de Dios.
17 De cierto os digo que el que no reciba el reino de Dios acomo un niño, no entrará en él.
18 Y le preguntó un gobernante, diciendo: Maestro bueno, ¿qué haré para heredar la vida eterna?
19 Y Jesús le dijo: ¿Por qué me llamas bueno? Ninguno hay bueno, sino solo aDios.
20 Los mandamientos sabes: No cometerás adulterio; no matarás; no hurtarás; no dirás falso testimonio; honra a tu padre y a tu madre.
21 Y él dijo: Todas estas cosas he guardado desde mi juventud.
22 Y Jesús, al oír esto, le dijo: Aún te falta una cosa: vende todo lo que tienes y dalo a los apobres, y tendrás tesoro en el cielo; y ven, sígueme.
23 Entonces él, al oír estas cosas, se puso muy triste, porque era muy rico.
24 Y viendo Jesús que se había entristecido mucho, dijo: ¡Cuán difícilmente entrarán en el reino de Dios los que tienen riquezas!
25 Porque es más fácil que pase un camello por el ojo de una aguja que un rico entre en el reino de Dios.
26 Y los que lo oyeron, dijeron: ¿Quién, pues, podrá ser salvo?
27 aY él les dijo: Lo que es imposible para los hombres es posible para Dios.
28 Entonces Pedro dijo: He aquí, nosotros hemos dejado nuestras posesiones y te hemos seguido.
29 Y él les dijo: De cierto os digo que no hay nadie que haya dejado casa, o padres, o hermanos, o mujer o hijos por el reino de Dios,
30 que no haya de recibir mucho más en este tiempo, y en el mundo venidero la vida eterna.
31 Y Jesús, tomando a los doce, les dijo: He aquí, ahora subimos a Jerusalén, y se cumplirán todas las cosas que fueron aescritas por los profetas acerca del Hijo del Hombre.
32 Porque será entregado a los gentiles, y será escarnecido, e injuriado y escupirán en él.
33 Y después que le hayan azotado, le matarán; pero al tercer día aresucitará.
34 Pero ellos nada aentendieron de estas cosas, y esta palabra les era encubierta, y no entendían lo que se les decía.
35 Y aconteció que, acercándose él a Jericó, un ciego estaba sentado junto al camino, mendigando;
36 el que, cuando oyó a la gente que pasaba, preguntó qué era aquello.
37 Y le dijeron que pasaba Jesús Nazareno.
38 Entonces dio voces, diciendo: ¡Jesús, Hijo de David, ten misericordia de mí!
39 Y los que iban delante le reprendían para que callase; pero él clamaba mucho más: ¡Hijo de David, ten misericordia de mí!
40 Jesús entonces, deteniéndose, mandó traerle a su presencia; y cuando él llegó, le preguntó,
41 diciendo: ¿Qué quieres que te haga? Y él dijo: Señor, que yo reciba la vista.
42 Y Jesús le dijo: aRecibe la vista, tu bfe te ha sanado.
43 Y al instante vio y le seguía, glorificando a Dios; y todo el pueblo, cuando vio aquello, dio alabanza a Dios.
CHAPTER 18
Jesus gives the parables of the unjust judge and the Pharisee and publican—He invites little children to come unto Him and teaches how to gain eternal life—He tells of His coming death and resurrection and gives sight to a blind man.
1 And he spake a parable unto them to this end, that men ought aalways to bpray, and not to cfaint;
2 Saying, There was in a city a judge, which feared not God, neither regarded man:
3 And there was a widow in that city; and she came unto him, saying, Avenge me of mine adversary.
4 And he would not for a while: but afterward he said within himself, Though I fear not God, nor regard man;
5 Yet because this widow troubleth me, I will avenge her, lest by her continual coming she weary me.
6 And the Lord said, Hear what the aunjust judge saith.
7 And shall not God aavenge his own elect, which cry day and night unto him, though he bear long with bthem?
8 aI tell you that he will bavenge them speedily. Nevertheless when the Son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth?
9 And he spake this parable unto certain which atrusted in themselves that they were righteous, and bdespised others:
10 Two men went up into the temple to apray; the one a Pharisee, and the other a publican.
11 The Pharisee stood and prayed thus with himself, God, I thank thee, that I am anot as other men are, extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even as this publican.
12 I afast twice in the week, I give btithes of all that I cpossess.
13 And the publican, standing afar off, would not lift up so much as his eyes unto heaven, but smote upon his breast, saying, God be merciful to me a asinner.
14 I tell you, this man went down to his house justified rather than the other: for every one that aexalteth himself shall be abased; and he that bhumbleth himself shall be exalted.
15 And they brought unto him also infants, that he would touch them: but when his disciples saw it, they rebuked them.
16 But Jesus called them unto him, and said, Suffer little achildren to come unto me, and forbid them not: for of such is the kingdom of God.
17 Verily I say unto you, Whosoever shall not receive the kingdom of God as a little child shall in no wise enter therein.
18 And a certain ruler asked him, saying, Good Master, what shall I do to inherit aeternal life?
19 And Jesus said unto him, Why callest thou me good? none is agood, save one, that is, God.
20 Thou knowest the commandments, Do not commit aadultery, Do not bkill, Do not steal, Do not bear cfalse witness, dHonour thy father and thy mother.
21 And he said, All these have I kept from my youth up.
22 Now when Jesus heard these things, he said unto him, Yet lackest thou one thing: sell all that thou hast, and distribute unto the apoor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come, follow me.
23 And when he heard this, he was very sorrowful: for he was very rich.
24 And when Jesus saw that he was very sorrowful, he said, How hardly shall they that have riches enter into the kingdom of God!
25 For it is easier for a camel to go through a needle’s eye, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God.
26 And they that heard it said, Who then can be saved?
27 aAnd he said, The things which are impossible with men are bpossible with God.
28 Then Peter said, Lo, we have left all, and followed thee.
29 And he said unto them, Verily I say unto you, There is no man that hath left house, or parents, or brethren, or wife, or children, for the kingdom of God’s sake,
30 Who shall not areceive bmanifold more in this present time, and in the world to come life everlasting.
31 ¶ Then he took unto him the twelve, and said unto them, Behold, we go up to Jerusalem, and all things that are awritten by the prophets concerning the Son of man shall be accomplished.
32 For he shall be delivered unto the Gentiles, and shall be amocked, and spitefully entreated, and spitted on:
33 And they shall scourge him, and put him to death: and the third day he shall arise again.
34 And they aunderstood none of these things: and this saying was hid from them, neither knew they the things which were spoken.
35 ¶ And it came to pass, that as he was come nigh unto Jericho, a certain blind man sat by the way side begging:
36 And hearing the multitude pass by, he asked what it meant.
37 And they told him, that Jesus of Nazareth passeth by.
38 And he cried, saying, Jesus, thou Son of David, have mercy on me.
39 And they which went before rebuked him, that he should hold his peace: but he cried so much the more, Thou Son of David, have mercy on me.
40 And Jesus stood, and commanded him to be brought unto him: and when he was come near, he asked him,
41 Saying, What wilt thou that I shall do unto thee? And he said, Lord, that I may receive my sight.
42 And Jesus said unto him, Receive thy asight: thy bfaith hath saved thee.
43 And immediately he received his sight, and followed him, aglorifying God: and all the people, when they saw it, gave praise unto God.
