제 20 장
예수의 권위를 두고 말하다(마 21:23-27; 막 11:27-33)
1 하루는 예수께서 성전에서 백성을 가르치시며 복음을 전하실새 대제사장들과 서기관들이 장로들과 함께 가까이 와서
2 말하여 이르되 당신이 무슨 권위로 이런 일을 하는지 이 권위를 준 이가 누구인지 우리에게 말하라
3 대답하여 이르시되 나도 한 말을 너희에게 물으리니 내게 말하라
4 요한의 세례가 하늘로부터냐 사람으로부터냐
5 그들이 서로 의논하여 이르되 만일 하늘로부터라 하면 어찌하여 그를 믿지 아니하였느냐 할 것이요
6 만일 사람으로부터라 하면 백성이 요한을 선지자로 인정하니 그들이 다 우리를 돌로 칠 것이라 하고
7 대답하되 어디로부터인지 알지 못하노라 하니
8 예수께서 이르시되 나도 무슨 권위로 이런 일을 하는지 너희에게 이르지 아니하리라 하시니라
포도원 농부 비유(마 21:33-46; 막 12:1-12)
9 그가 또 이 비유로 백성에게 말씀하시기 시작하시니라 한 사람이 포도원을 만들어 농부들에게 세로 주고 타국에 가서 오래 있다가
10 때가 이르매 포도원 소출 얼마를 바치게 하려고 한 종을 농부들에게 보내니 농부들이 종을 몹시 때리고 거저 보내었거늘
11 다시 다른 종을 보내니 그도 몹시 때리고 능욕하고 거저 보내었거늘
12 다시 세 번째 종을 보내니 이 종도 상하게 하고 내쫓은지라
13 포도원 주인이 이르되 어찌할까 내 사랑하는 아들을 보내리니 그들이 혹 그는 존대하리라 하였더니
14 농부들이 그를 보고 서로 의논하여 이르되 이는 상속자니 죽이고 그 유산을 우리의 것으로 만들자 하고
15 포도원 밖에 내쫓아 죽였느니라 그런즉 포도원 주인이 이 사람들을 어떻게 하겠느냐
16 와서 그 농부들을 진멸하고 포도원을 다른 사람들에게 주리라 하시니 사람들이 듣고 이르되 그렇게 되지 말아지이다 하거늘
17 그들을 보시며 이르시되 그러면 기록된 바 건축자들의 버린 돌이 모퉁이의 머릿돌이 되었느니라 함이 어찜이냐
18 무릇 이 돌 위에 떨어지는 자는 깨어지겠고 이 돌이 사람 위에 떨어지면 그를 가루로 만들어 흩으리라 하시니라
가이사에게 세를 바치는 것(마 22:15-22; 막 12:13-17)
19 서기관들과 대제사장들이 예수의 이 비유는 자기들을 가리켜 말씀하심인 줄 알고 즉시 잡고자 하되 백성을 두려워하더라
20 이에 그들이 엿보다가 예수를 총독의 다스림과 권세 아래에 넘기려 하여 정탐들을 보내어 그들로 스스로 의인인 체하며 예수의 말을 책잡게 하니
21 그들이 물어 이르되 선생님이여 우리가 아노니 당신은 바로 말씀하시고 가르치시며 사람을 외모로 취하지 아니하시고 오직 진리로써 하나님의 도를 가르치시나이다
22 우리가 가이사에게 세를 바치는 것이 옳으니이까 옳지 않으니이까 하니
23 예수께서 그 간계를 아시고 이르시되
24 2)데나리온 하나를 내게 보이라 누구의 형상과 글이 여기 있느냐 대답하되 가이사의 것이니이다
25 이르시되 그런즉 가이사의 것은 가이사에게, 하나님의 것은 하나님께 바치라 하시니
26 그들이 백성 앞에서 그의 말을 능히 책잡지 못하고 그의 대답을 놀랍게 여겨 침묵하니라
부활 논쟁(마 22:23-33; 막 12:18-27)
27 부활이 없다고 주장하는 사두개인 중 어떤 이들이 와서
28 물어 이르되 선생님이여 모세가 우리에게 써 주기를 만일 어떤 사람의 형이 아내를 두고 자식이 없이 죽으면 그 동생이 그 아내를 취하여 형을 위하여 상속자를 세울지니라 하였나이다
29 그런데 칠 형제가 있었는데 맏이가 아내를 취하였다가 자식이 없이 죽고
30 그 둘째와 셋째가 그를 취하고
31 일곱이 다 그와 같이 자식이 없이 죽고
32 그 후에 여자도 죽었나이다
33 일곱이 다 그를 아내로 취하였으니 부활 때에 그 중에 누구의 아내가 되리이까
34 예수께서 이르시되 이 세상의 자녀들은 장가도 가고 시집도 가되
35 저 세상과 및 죽은 자 가운데서 부활함을 얻기에 합당히 여김을 받은 자들은 장가 가고 시집 가는 일이 없으며
36 그들은 다시 죽을 수도 없나니 이는 천사와 동등이요 부활의 자녀로서 하나님의 자녀임이라
37 죽은 자가 살아난다는 것은 모세도 가시나무 떨기에 관한 글에서 주를 아브라함의 하나님이요 이삭의 하나님이요 야곱의 하나님이시라 칭하였나니
38 하나님은 죽은 자의 하나님이 아니요 살아 있는 자의 하나님이시라 하나님에게는 모든 사람이 살았느니라 하시니
39 서기관 중 어떤 이들이 말하되 선생님 잘 말씀하셨나이다 하니
40 그들은 아무 것도 감히 더 물을 수 없음이더라
그리스도와 다윗의 자손(마 22:41-46; 막 12:35-37)
41 예수께서 그들에게 이르시되 사람들이 어찌하여 그리스도를 다윗의 자손이라 하느냐
42 시편에 다윗이 친히 말하였으되 주께서 내 주께 이르시되
43 내가 네 원수를 네 발등상으로 삼을 때까지 내 우편에 앉았으라 하셨도다 하였느니라
44 그런즉 다윗이 그리스도를 주라 칭하였으니 어찌 그의 자손이 되겠느냐 하시니라
서기관들을 삼가라(마 23:1-36; 막 12:38-40; 눅 11:37-54)
45 모든 백성이 들을 때에 예수께서 그 제자들에게 이르시되
46 긴 옷을 입고 다니는 것을 원하며 시장에서 문안 받는 것과 회당의 높은 자리와 잔치의 윗자리를 좋아하는 서기관들을 삼가라
47 그들은 과부의 가산을 삼키며 외식으로 길게 기도하니 그들이 더 엄중한 심판을 받으리라 하시니라
CAPÍTULO 20
Los principales sacerdotes se oponen a Jesús — Él enseña la parábola de los labradores malvados — Dad a César lo que es de César y a Dios lo que es de Dios — Enseña la ley del matrimonio.
1 Y aconteció un día que, enseñando Jesús al pueblo en el templo y predicando el evangelio, llegaron los principales sacerdotes y los escribas, con los ancianos,
2 y le hablaron, diciendo: Dinos: ¿Con qué autoridad haces estas cosas, o quién es el que te ha dado esta autoridad?
3 Respondiendo entonces Jesús, les dijo: Os haré yo también una pregunta; respondedme:
4 El bautismo de Juan, ¿era del cielo o de los hombres?
5 Y ellos discutían entre sí, diciendo: Si decimos, del cielo, dirá: ¿Por qué, pues, no le creísteis?
6 Y si decimos, de los hombres, todo el pueblo nos apedreará, porque están convencidos de que Juan era aprofeta.
7 Y respondieron que no sabían de dónde era.
8 Entonces Jesús les dijo: Tampoco yo os diré con qué autoridad hago estas cosas.
9 Y comenzó a decir al pueblo esta parábola: Un hombre plantó una aviña, y la arrendó a labradores y se ausentó por mucho tiempo.
10 Y a su tiempo, envió un siervo a los labradores para que le diesen del fruto de la viña; pero los labradores le golpearon y le enviaron con las manos vacías.
11 Y volvió a enviar otro siervo; pero ellos a este también le golpearon y le afrentaron y le enviaron con las manos vacías.
12 Y volvió a enviar un tercer siervo; pero ellos también a este echaron fuera, herido.
13 Entonces el señor de la viña dijo: ¿Qué haré? Enviaré a mi hijo amado; quizá cuando vean a este, le tendrán respeto.
14 Pero los labradores, al verle, pensaron entre sí, diciendo: Este es el heredero; venid, matémosle para que la heredad sea nuestra.
15 Y le echaron fuera de la viña y le mataron. ¿Qué, pues, les hará el señor de la viña?
16 Vendrá y destruirá a estos labradores, y dará su viña a otros. Y cuando ellos lo oyeron, dijeron: a¡Dios nos libre!
17Mas él, mirándolos, dijo: ¿Qué, pues, es lo que está escrito:La apiedra que desecharon los edificadores,esta ha llegado a ser bcabeza del ángulo?
18 Todo el que cayere sobre aquella piedra será quebrantado; mas sobre el que la piedra cayere, le desmenuzará.
19 Y procuraban los principales sacerdotes y los escribas echarle mano en aquella hora, porque entendieron que contra ellos había dicho esta parábola; pero temían al pueblo.
20 Y, acechándole, enviaron espías que simulasen ser justos, a fin de asorprenderle en sus palabras, para entregarle al poder y a la autoridad del gobernador.
21 Y le preguntaron, diciendo: Maestro, sabemos que dices y enseñas con rectitud, y que no haces acepción de personas, sino que enseñas el camino de Dios con verdad.
22 ¿Nos es lícito adar tributo a César, o no?
23 Pero él, entendiendo la aastucia de ellos, les dijo: ¿Por qué me tentáis?
24 Mostradme la moneda. ¿De quién tiene la imagen y la inscripción? Y respondiendo, dijeron: De César.
25 Entonces les dijo: Pues dad a aCésar lo que es de César y a Dios lo que es de Dios.
26 Y no pudieron sorprenderle en sus palabras delante del pueblo, sino que, maravillados de su respuesta, callaron.
27 Y acercándose unos de los asaduceos, los cuales niegan que haya resurrección, le preguntaron,
28 diciendo: Maestro, Moisés nos escribió: Si el ahermano de alguno muere teniendo esposa, y muere sin hijos, que su hermano la tome a ella y levante descendencia a su hermano.
29 Había, pues, siete hermanos; y el primero tomó esposa y murió sin hijos.
30 Y la tomó el segundo, el cual también murió sin hijos.
31 Y la tomó el tercero; asimismo también todos los siete. Y murieron sin dejar descendientes.
32 Y finalmente, murió también la mujer.
33 En la resurrección, pues, ¿de cuál de ellos será esposa? Porque los siete la tuvieron por esposa.
34 Entonces, respondiendo Jesús, les dijo: Los hijos de este mundo ase casan y se dan en casamiento;
35 pero los que fueren considerados dignos de alcanzar aaquel mundo y de la resurrección de entre los muertos, no se casan bni se dan en ccasamiento.
36 Porque ya no pueden morir, pues son iguales a los aángeles, y son bhijos de Dios al ser hijos de la resurrección.
37 Pero en cuanto a que los muertos han de resucitar, aun Moisés lo enseñó en el pasaje de la azarza, cuando llama al Señor: Dios de Abraham, y Dios de Isaac y Dios de Jacob.
38 Porque Dios no es Dios de amuertos, sino de vivos, pues para él todos viven.
39 Y respondiéndole algunos de los escribas, dijeron: Maestro, bien has dicho.
40 Y no osaron preguntarle nada más.
41 Y él les dijo: ¿Cómo es que dicen que el Cristo es ahijo de David?
42Pues el mismo David dice en el libro de los Salmos:Dijo ael Señor a mi Señor:Siéntate a mi diestra,
43hasta que ponga a tus enemigos por estrado de tus pies.
44 Así que David le llama Señor; ¿cómo, pues, es su hijo?
45 Y oyéndole todo el pueblo, dijo a sus discípulos:
46 Guardaos de los aescribas, que gustan de andar con ropas largas, y aman las salutaciones en las plazas, y las bprimeras sillas en las sinagogas y los primeros asientos en las cenas;
47 que devoran las casas de las viudas y, como pretexto, hacen largas oraciones; estos recibirán mayor condenación.
CHAPTER 20
The chief priests oppose Jesus—He gives the parable of the wicked husbandmen—Render unto Cæsar and God that which is theirs—Jesus teaches the law of marriage.
1 And it came to pass, that on one of those days, as he taught the people in the temple, and preached the gospel, the chief priests and the scribes came upon him with the elders,
2 And spake unto him, saying, Tell us, by what authority doest thou these things? or who is he that gave thee this authority?
3 And he answered and said unto them, I will also ask you one thing; and answer me:
4 The baptism of John, was it from heaven, or of men?
5 And they reasoned with themselves, saying, If we shall say, From heaven; he will say, Why then believed ye him not?
6 But and if we say, Of men; all the people will stone us: for they be persuaded that John was a aprophet.
7 And they answered, that they could not tell whence it was.
8 And Jesus said unto them, Neither tell I you by what authority I do these things.
9 Then began he to speak to the people this parable; A certain man planted a avineyard, and let it forth to bhusbandmen, and went into a far country for a long time.
10 And at the season he sent a servant to the husbandmen, that they should give him of the fruit of the vineyard: but the husbandmen beat him, and sent him away empty.
11 And again he sent another servant: and they beat him also, and entreated him shamefully, and sent him away empty.
12 And again he sent a third: and they wounded him also, and cast him out.
13 Then said the lord of the vineyard, What shall I do? I will send my beloved son: it may be they will reverence him when they see him.
14 But when the husbandmen saw him, they reasoned among themselves, saying, This is the heir: come, let us kill him, that the inheritance may be ours.
15 So they cast him out of the vineyard, and killed him. What therefore shall the lord of the vineyard do unto them?
16 He shall come and destroy these husbandmen, and shall give the vineyard to others. And when they heard it, they said, aGod forbid.
17 And he beheld them, and said, What is this then that is written, The astone which the builders rejected, the same is become the head of the corner?
18 Whosoever shall fall upon that stone shall be broken; but on whomsoever it shall fall, it will agrind him to powder.
19 ¶ And the chief priests and the scribes the same hour sought to lay hands on him; and they feared the people: for they perceived that he had spoken this parable against them.
20 And they watched him, and sent forth spies, which should feign themselves just men, that they might atake hold of his words, that so they might deliver him unto the power and authority of the governor.
21 And they asked him, saying, Master, we know that thou sayest and teachest rightly, neither acceptest thou the person of any, but teachest the way of God truly:
22 Is it lawful for us to give atribute unto Cæsar, or no?
23 But he perceived their acraftiness, and said unto them, Why tempt ye me?
24 Shew me a penny. Whose image and superscription hath it? They answered and said, Cæsar’s.
25 And he said unto them, Render therefore unto aCæsar the things which be Cæsar’s, and unto God the things which be God’s.
26 And they could not take hold of his words before the people: and they marvelled at his answer, and held their peace.
27 ¶ Then came to him certain of the Sadducees, which deny that there is any resurrection; and they asked him,
28 Saying, Master, Moses wrote unto us, If any man’s abrother die, having a wife, and he die without children, that his bbrother should take his wife, and raise up seed unto his brother.
29 There were therefore seven brethren: and the first took a wife, and died without children.
30 And the second took her to wife, and he died childless.
31 And the third took her; and in like manner the seven also: and they left no children, and died.
32 Last of all the woman died also.
33 Therefore in the resurrection whose wife of them is she? for seven had her to wife.
34 And Jesus answering said unto them, The children of this world amarry, and are given in marriage:
35 But they which shall be accounted worthy to obtain athat world, and the bresurrection from the dead, neither marry, nor are given in cmarriage:
36 Neither can they die any more: for they are equal unto the aangels; and are the bchildren of God, being the children of the resurrection.
37 Now that the dead are raised, even Moses shewed at the abush, when he calleth the Lord the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob.
38 For he is not a God of the adead, but of the living: for all live unto him.
39 ¶ Then certain of the scribes answering said, Master, thou hast well said.
40 And after that they durst not ask him any aquestion at all.
41 And he said unto them, How say they that Christ is David’s ason?
42 And David himself saith in the book of Psalms, The Lord said unto my aLord, Sit thou on my right hand,
43 Till I make thine enemies thy footstool.
44 David therefore calleth him Lord, how is he then his son?
45 ¶ Then in the audience of all the people he said unto his disciples,
46 Beware of the ascribes, which desire to walk in long robes, and love greetings in the markets, and the bhighest seats in the synagogues, and the chief rooms at feasts;
47 Which devour widows’ houses, and for a shew make long prayers: the same shall receive greater damnation.
