제 30 장

다윗이 아말렉을 치다

1 다윗과 그의 사람들이 사흘 만에 시글락에 이른 때에 아말렉 사람들이 이미 네겝과 시글락을 침노하였는데 그들이 시글락을 쳐서 불사르고

2 거기에 있는 젊거나 늙은 여인들은 한 사람도 죽이지 아니하고 다 사로잡아 끌고 자기 길을 갔더라

3 다윗과 그의 사람들이 성읍에 이르러 본즉 성읍이 불탔고 자기들의 아내와 자녀들이 사로잡혔는지라

4 다윗과 그와 함께 한 백성이 울 기력이 없도록 소리를 높여 울었더라

5 (다윗의 두 아내 이스르엘 여인 아히노암과 갈멜 사람 나발의 아내였던 아비가일도 사로잡혔더라)

6 백성들이 자녀들 때문에 마음이 슬퍼서 다윗을 돌로 치자 하니 다윗이 크게 다급하였으나 그의 하나님 여호와를 힘입고 용기를 얻었더라

7 다윗이 아히멜렉의 아들 제사장 아비아달에게 이르되 원하건대 에봇을 내게로 가져오라 아비아달이 에봇을 다윗에게로 가져가매

8 다윗이 여호와께 묻자와 이르되 내가 이 군대를 추격하면 따라잡겠나이까 하니 여호와께서 그에게 대답하시되 그를 쫓아가라 네가 반드시 따라잡고 도로 찾으리라

9 이에 다윗과 또 그와 함께 한 육백 명이 가서 브솔 시내에 이르러 뒤떨어진 자를 거기 머물게 했으되

10 곧 피곤하여 브솔 시내를 건너지 못하는 이백 명을 머물게 했고 다윗은 사백 명을 거느리고 쫓아가니라

11 무리가 들에서 애굽 사람 하나를 만나 그를 다윗에게로 데려다가 떡을 주어 먹게 하며 물을 마시게 하고

12 그에게 무화과 뭉치에서 뗀 덩이 하나와 건포도 두 송이를 주었으니 그가 밤낮 사흘 동안 떡도 먹지 못하였고 물도 마시지 못하였음이니라 그가 먹고 정신을 차리매

13 다윗이 그에게 이르되 너는 누구에게 속하였으며 어디에서 왔느냐 하니 그가 이르되 나는 애굽 소년이요 아말렉 사람의 종이더니 사흘 전에 병이 들매 주인이 나를 버렸나이다

14 우리가 그렛 사람의 남방과 유다에 속한 지방과 갈렙 남방을 침노하고 시글락을 불살랐나이다

15 다윗이 그에게 이르되 네가 나를 그 군대로 인도하겠느냐 하니 그가 이르되 당신이 나를 죽이지도 아니하고 내 주인의 수중에 넘기지도 아니하겠다고 하나님의 이름으로 내게 맹세하소서 그리하면 내가 당신을 그 군대로 인도하리이다 하니라

16 그가 다윗을 인도하여 내려가니 그들이 온 땅에 편만하여 블레셋 사람들의 땅과 유다 땅에서 크게 약탈하였음으로 말미암아 먹고 마시며 춤추는지라

17 다윗이 새벽부터 이튿날 저물 때까지 그들을 치매 낙타를 타고 도망한 소년 사백 명 외에는 피한 사람이 없었더라

18 다윗이 아말렉 사람들이 빼앗아 갔던 모든 것을 도로 찾고 그의 두 아내를 구원하였고

19 그들이 약탈하였던 것 곧 무리의 자녀들이나 빼앗겼던 것은 크고 작은 것을 막론하고 아무것도 잃은 것이 없이 모두 다윗이 도로 찾아왔고

20 다윗이 또 양 떼와 소 떼를 다 되찾았더니 무리가 그 가축들을 앞에 몰고 가며 이르되 이는 다윗의 전리품이라 하였더라

21 다윗이 전에 피곤하여 능히 자기를 따르지 못하므로 브솔 시내에 머물게 한 이백 명에게 오매 그들이 다윗과 그와 함께 한 백성을 영접하러 나오는지라 다윗이 그 백성에게 이르러 문안하매

22 다윗과 함께 갔던 자들 가운데 악한 자와 불량배들이 다 이르되 그들이 우리와 함께 가지 아니하였은즉 우리가 도로 찾은 물건은 무엇이든지 그들에게 주지 말고 각자의 처자만 데리고 떠나가게 하라 하는지라

23 다윗이 이르되 나의 형제들아 여호와께서 우리를 보호하시고 우리를 치러 온 그 군대를 우리 손에 넘기셨은즉 그가 우리에게 주신 것을 너희가 이같이 못하리라

24 이 일에 누가 너희에게 듣겠느냐 전장에 내려갔던 자의 분깃이나 소유물 곁에 머물렀던 자의 분깃이 동일할지니 같이 분배할 것이니라 하고

25 그 날부터 다윗이 이것으로 이스라엘의 율례와 규례를 삼았더니 오늘까지 이르니라

26 다윗이 시글락에 이르러 전리품을 그의 친구 유다 장로들에게 보내어 이르되 보라 여호와의 원수에게서 탈취한 것을 너희에게 선사하노라 하고

27 벧엘에 있는 자와 남방 라못에 있는 자와 얏딜에 있는 자와

28 아로엘에 있는 자와 십못에 있는 자와 에스드모아에 있는 자와

29 라갈에 있는 자와 여라므엘 사람의 성읍들에 있는 자와 겐 사람의 성읍들에 있는 자와

30 홀마에 있는 자와 고라산에 있는 자와 아닥에 있는 자와

31 헤브론에 있는 자에게와 다윗과 그의 사람들이 왕래하던 모든 곳에 보내었더라

Cuando David y sus hombres vinieron a Siclag al tercer día, los de Amalec habían invadido el Neguev y a Siclag, y habían asolado a Siclag y le habían prendido fuego. 2. Y se habían llevado cautivas a las mujeres y a todos los que estaban allí, desde el menor hasta el mayor; pero a nadie habían dado muerte, sino se los habían llevado al seguir su camino. 3. Vino, pues, David con los suyos a la ciudad, y he aquí que estaba quemada, y sus mujeres y sus hijos e hijas habían sido llevados cautivos. 4. Entonces David y la gente que con él estaba alzaron su voz y lloraron, hasta que les faltaron las fuerzas para llorar. 5. Las dos mujeres de David, Ahinoam jezreelita y Abigail la que fue mujer de Nabal el de Carmel, también eran cautivas. 6. Y David se angustió mucho, porque el pueblo hablaba de apedrearlo, pues todo el pueblo estaba en amargura de alma, cada uno por sus hijos y por sus hijas; mas David se fortaleció en Jehová su Dios. 7. Y dijo David al sacerdote Abiatar hijo de Ahimelec: Yo te ruego que me acerques el efod. Y Abiatar acercó el efod a David. 8. Y David consultó a Jehová, diciendo: ¿Perseguiré a estos merodeadores? ¿Los podré alcanzar? Y él le dijo: Síguelos, porque ciertamente los alcanzarás, y de cierto librarás a los cautivos. 9. Partió, pues, David, él y los seiscientos hombres que con él estaban, y llegaron hasta el torrente de Besor, donde se quedaron algunos. 10. Y David siguió adelante con cuatrocientos hombres; porque se quedaron atrás doscientos, que cansados no pudieron pasar el torrente de Besor. 11. Y hallaron en el campo a un hombre egipcio, el cual trajeron a David, y le dieron pan, y comió, y le dieron a beber agua. 12. Le dieron también un pedazo de masa de higos secos y dos racimos de pasas. Y luego que comió, volvió en él su espíritu; porque no había comido pan ni bebido agua en tres días y tres noches. 13. Y le dijo David: ¿De quién eres tú, y de dónde eres? Y respondió el joven egipcio: Yo soy siervo de un amalecita, y me dejó mi amo hoy hace tres días, porque estaba yo enfermo; 14. pues hicimos una incursión a la parte del Neguev que es de los cereteos, y de Judá, y al Neguev de Caleb; y pusimos fuego a Siclag. 15. Y le dijo David: ¿Me llevarás tú a esa tropa? Y él dijo: Júrame por Dios que no me matarás, ni me entregarás en mano de mi amo, y yo te llevaré a esa gente. 16. Lo llevó, pues; y he aquí que estaban desparramados sobre toda aquella tierra, comiendo y bebiendo y haciendo fiesta, por todo aquel gran botín que habían tomado de la tierra de los filisteos y de la tierra de Judá. 17. Y los hirió David desde aquella mañana hasta la tarde del día siguiente; y no escapó de ellos ninguno, sino cuatrocientos jóvenes que montaron sobre los camellos y huyeron. 18. Y libró David todo lo que los amalecitas habían tomado, y asimismo libertó David a sus dos mujeres. 19. Y no les faltó cosa alguna, chica ni grande, así de hijos como de hijas, del robo, y de todas las cosas que les habían tomado; todo lo recuperó David. 20. Tomó también David todas las ovejas y el ganado mayor; y trayéndolo todo delante, decían: Este es el botín de David. 21. Y vino David a los doscientos hombres que habían quedado cansados y no habían podido seguir a David, a los cuales habían hecho quedar en el torrente de Besor; y ellos salieron a recibir a David y al pueblo que con él estaba. Y cuando David llegó a la gente, les saludó con paz. 22. Entonces todos los malos y perversos de entre los que habían ido con David, respondieron y dijeron: Porque no fueron con nosotros, no les daremos del botín que hemos quitado, sino a cada uno su mujer y sus hijos; que los tomen y se vayan. 23. Y David dijo: No hagáis eso, hermanos míos, de lo que nos ha dado Jehová, quien nos ha guardado, y ha entregado en nuestra mano a los merodeadores que vinieron contra nosotros. 24. ¿Y quién os escuchará en este caso? Porque conforme a la parte del que desciende a la batalla, así ha de ser la parte del que queda con el bagaje; les tocará parte igual. 25. Desde aquel día en adelante fue esto por ley y ordenanza en Israel, hasta hoy. 26. Y cuando David llegó a Siclag, envió del botín a los ancianos de Judá, sus amigos, diciendo: He aquí un presente para vosotros del botín de los enemigos de Jehová. 27. Lo envió a los que estaban en Bet-el, en Ramot del Neguev, en Jatir, 28. en Aroer, en Sifmot, en Estemoa, 29. en Racal, en las ciudades de Jerameel, en las ciudades del ceneo, 30. en Horma, en Corasán, en Atac, 31. en Hebrón, y en todos los lugares donde David había estado con sus hombres. 1 #Samuel 30 David’s Wives Are Captured 1. Now when David and his men came to Ziklag on the third day, the Amalekites had made a raid against the Negeb and against Ziklag. They had overcome Ziklag and burned it with fire 2. and taken captive the women and all who were in it, both small and great. They killed no one, but carried them off and went their way. 3. And when David and his men came to the city, they found it burned with fire, and their wives and sons and daughters taken captive. 4. Then David and the people who were with him raised their voices and wept until they had no more strength to weep. 5. David’s two wives also had been taken captive, Ahinoam of Jezreel and Abigail the widow of Nabal of Carmel. 6. And David was greatly distressed, for the people spoke of stoning him, because all the people were bitter in soul, each for his sons and daughters. But David strengthened himself in the Lord his God. 7. And David said to Abiathar the priest, the son of Ahimelech, “Bring me the ephod.” So Abiathar brought the ephod to David. 8. And David inquired of the Lord, “Shall I pursue after this band? Shall I overtake them?” He answered him, “Pursue, for you shall surely overtake and shall surely rescue.” 9. So David set out, and the six hundred men who were with him, and they came to the brook Besor, where those who were left behind stayed. 10. But David pursued, he and four hundred men. Two hundred stayed behind, who were too exhausted to cross the brook Besor. 11. They found an Egyptian in the open country and brought him to David. And they gave him bread and he ate. They gave him water to drink, 12. and they gave him a piece of a cake of figs and two clusters of raisins. And when he had eaten, his spirit revived, for he had not eaten bread or drunk water for three days and three nights. 13. And David said to him, “To whom do you belong? And where are you from?” He said, “I am a young man of Egypt, servant to an Amalekite, and my master left me behind because I fell sick three days ago. 14. We had made a raid against the Negeb of the Cherethites and against that which belongs to Judah and against the Negeb of Caleb, and we burned Ziklag with fire.” 15. And David said to him, “Will you take me down to this band?” And he said, “Swear to me by God that you will not kill me or deliver me into the hands of my master, and I will take you down to this band.” David Defeats the Amalekites 16. And when he had taken him down, behold, they were spread abroad over all the land, eating and drinking and dancing, because of all the great spoil they had taken from the land of the Philistines and from the land of Judah. 17. And David struck them down from twilight until the evening of the next day, and not a man of them escaped, except four hundred young men, who mounted camels and fled. 18. David recovered all that the Amalekites had taken, and David rescued his two wives. 19. Nothing was missing, whether small or great, sons or daughters, spoil or anything that had been taken. David brought back all. 20. David also captured all the flocks and herds, and the people drove the livestock before him, and said, “This is David’s spoil.” 21. Then David came to the two hundred men who had been too exhausted to follow David, and who had been left at the brook Besor. And they went out to meet David and to meet the people who were with him. And when David came near to the people he greeted them. 22. Then all the wicked and worthless fellows among the men who had gone with David said, “Because they did not go with us, we will not give them any of the spoil that we have recovered, except that each man may lead away his wife and children, and depart.” 23. But David said, “You shall not do so, my brothers, with what the Lord has given us. He has preserved us and given into our hand the band that came against us. 24. Who would listen to you in this matter? For as his share is who goes down into the battle, so shall his share be who stays by the baggage. They shall share alike.” 25. And he made it a statute and a rule for Israel from that day forward to this day. 26. When David came to Ziklag, he sent part of the spoil to his friends, the elders of Judah, saying, “Here is a present for you from the spoil of the enemies of the Lord.” 27. It was for those in Bethel, in Ramoth of the Negeb, in Jattir, 28. in Aroer, in Siphmoth, in Eshtemoa, 29. in Racal, in the cities of the Jerahmeelites, in the cities of the Kenites, 30. in Hormah, in Bor-ashan, in Athach, 31. in Hebron, for all the places where David and his men had roamed.

Cuando David y sus hombres vinieron a Siclag al tercer día, los de Amalec habían invadido el Neguev y a Siclag, y habían asolado a Siclag y le habían prendido fuego.

Desde aquel día en adelante fue esto por ley y ordenanza en Israel, hasta hoy.
Y cuando David llegó a Siclag, envió del botín a los ancianos de Judá, sus amigos, diciendo: He aquí un presente para vosotros del botín de los enemigos de Jehová.
Lo envió a los que estaban en Bet-el, en Ramot del Neguev, en Jatir,
en Aroer, en Sifmot, en Estemoa,
en Racal, en las ciudades de Jerameel, en las ciudades del ceneo,
en Horma, en Corasán, en Atac,
en Hebrón, y en todos los lugares donde David había estado con sus hombres.

David’s Wives Are Captured

Now when David and his men came to Ziklag on the third day, the Amalekites had made a raid against the Negeb and against Ziklag. They had overcome Ziklag and burned it with fire
and taken captive the women and all who were in it, both small and great. They killed no one, but carried them off and went their way.
And when David and his men came to the city, they found it burned with fire, and their wives and sons and daughters taken captive.
Then David and the people who were with him raised their voices and wept until they had no more strength to weep.
David’s two wives also had been taken captive, Ahinoam of Jezreel and Abigail the widow of Nabal of Carmel.
And David was greatly distressed, for the people spoke of stoning him, because all the people were bitter in soul, each for his sons and daughters. But David strengthened himself in the Lord his God.
And David said to Abiathar the priest, the son of Ahimelech, “Bring me the ephod.” So Abiathar brought the ephod to David.
And David inquired of the Lord, “Shall I pursue after this band? Shall I overtake them?” He answered him, “Pursue, for you shall surely overtake and shall surely rescue.”
So David set out, and the six hundred men who were with him, and they came to the brook Besor, where those who were left behind stayed.
But David pursued, he and four hundred men. Two hundred stayed behind, who were too exhausted to cross the brook Besor.
They found an Egyptian in the open country and brought him to David. And they gave him bread and he ate. They gave him water to drink,
and they gave him a piece of a cake of figs and two clusters of raisins. And when he had eaten, his spirit revived, for he had not eaten bread or drunk water for three days and three nights.
And David said to him, “To whom do you belong? And where are you from?” He said, “I am a young man of Egypt, servant to an Amalekite, and my master left me behind because I fell sick three days ago.
We had made a raid against the Negeb of the Cherethites and against that which belongs to Judah and against the Negeb of Caleb, and we burned Ziklag with fire.”
And David said to him, “Will you take me down to this band?” And he said, “Swear to me by God that you will not kill me or deliver me into the hands of my master, and I will take you down to this band.”

David Defeats the Amalekites
And when he had taken him down, behold, they were spread abroad over all the land, eating and drinking and dancing, because of all the great spoil they had taken from the land of the Philistines and from the land of Judah.
And David struck them down from twilight until the evening of the next day, and not a man of them escaped, except four hundred young men, who mounted camels and fled.
David recovered all that the Amalekites had taken, and David rescued his two wives.
Nothing was missing, whether small or great, sons or daughters, spoil or anything that had been taken. David brought back all.
David also captured all the flocks and herds, and the people drove the livestock before him, and said, “This is David’s spoil.”
Then David came to the two hundred men who had been too exhausted to follow David, and who had been left at the brook Besor. And they went out to meet David and to meet the people who were with him. And when David came near to the people he greeted them.
Then all the wicked and worthless fellows among the men who had gone with David said, “Because they did not go with us, we will not give them any of the spoil that we have recovered, except that each man may lead away his wife and children, and depart.”
But David said, “You shall not do so, my brothers, with what the Lord has given us. He has preserved us and given into our hand the band that came against us.
Who would listen to you in this matter? For as his share is who goes down into the battle, so shall his share be who stays by the baggage. They shall share alike.”
And he made it a statute and a rule for Israel from that day forward to this day.
When David came to Ziklag, he sent part of the spoil to his friends, the elders of Judah, saying, “Here is a present for you from the spoil of the enemies of the Lord.”
It was for those in Bethel, in Ramoth of the Negeb, in Jattir,
in Aroer, in Siphmoth, in Eshtemoa,
in Racal, in the cities of the Jerahmeelites, in the cities of the Kenites,
in Hormah, in Bor-ashan, in Athach,
in Hebron, for all the places where David and his men had roamed.
