제 3 장

1   솔로몬이 예루살렘 모리아 산에 여호와의 전 건축하기를 시작하니 그 곳은 전에 여호와께서 그의 아버지 다윗에게 나타나신 곳이요 여부스 사람 오르난의 타작 마당에 다윗이 정한 곳이라

2   솔로몬이 왕위에 오른 지 넷째 해 둘째 달 둘째 날 건축을 시작하였더라

3   솔로몬이 하나님의 전을 위하여 놓은 지대는 이러하니 옛날에 쓰던 자로 길이가 육십 1)규빗이요 너비가 이십 규빗이며

4   그 성전 앞에 있는 낭실의 길이가 성전의 너비와 같이 이십 규빗이요 높이가 백이십 규빗이니 안에는 순금으로 입혔으며

5   그 대전 천장은 잣나무로 만들고 또 순금으로 입히고 그 위에 종려나무와 사슬 형상을 새겼고

6   또 보석으로 성전을 꾸며 화려하게 하였으니 그 금은 바르와임 금이며

7   또 금으로 성전과 그 들보와 문지방과 벽과 문짝에 입히고 벽에 그룹들을 아로새겼더라

8   또 지성소를 지었으니 성전 넓이대로 길이가 이십 규빗이요 너비도 이십 규빗이라 순금 육백 달란트로 입혔으니

9   못 무게가 금 오십 세겔이요 다락들도 금으로 입혔더라

10   지성소 안에 두 그룹의 형상을 새겨 만들어 금으로 입혔으니

11   두 그룹의 날개 길이가 모두 이십 규빗이라 왼쪽 그룹의 한 날개는 다섯 규빗이니 성전 벽에 닿았고 그 다른 날개도 다섯 규빗이니 오른쪽 그룹의 날개에 닿았으며

12   오른쪽 그룹의 한 날개도 다섯 규빗이니 성전 벽에 닿았고 그 다른 날개도 다섯 규빗이니 왼쪽 그룹의 날개에 닿았으며

13   이 두 그룹이 편 날개가 모두 이십 규빗이라 그 얼굴을 내전으로 향하여 서 있으며

14   청색 자색 홍색 실과 고운 베로 휘장문을 짓고 그 위에 그룹의 형상을 수놓았더라

두 기둥(왕상 7:15-22)

15   성전 앞에 기둥 둘을 만들었으니 높이가 삼십오 규빗이요 각 기둥 꼭대기의 머리가 다섯 규빗이라

16   성소 같이 사슬을 만들어 그 기둥 머리에 두르고 석류 백 개를 만들어 사슬에 달았으며

17   그 두 기둥을 성전 앞에 세웠으니 왼쪽에 하나요 오른쪽에 하나라 오른쪽 것은 2)야긴이라 부르고 왼쪽 것은 3)보아스라 불렀더라

Salomón edifica el templo

(1 R. 6.1-38)

1Comenzó Salomón a edificar la casa de Jehová en Jerusalén, en el monte Moriah, que había sido mostrado a David su padre, en el lugar que David había preparado en la era de Ornán jebuseo. 2Y comenzó a edificar en el mes segundo, a los dos días del mes, en el cuarto año de su reinado. 3Estas son las medidas que dio Salomón a los cimientos de la casa de Dios. La primera, la longitud, de sesenta codos, y la anchura de veinte codos. 4El pórtico que estaba al frente del edificio era de veinte codos de largo, igual al ancho de la casa, y su altura de ciento veinte codos; y lo cubrió por dentro de oro puro. 5Y techó el cuerpo mayor del edificio con madera de ciprés, la cual cubrió de oro fino, e hizo realzar en ella palmeras y cadenas. 6Cubrió también la casa de piedras preciosas para ornamento; y el oro era oro de Parvaim. 7Así que cubrió la casa, sus vigas, sus umbrales, sus paredes y sus puertas, con oro; y esculpió querubines en las paredes.

8Hizo asimismo el lugar santísimo, cuya longitud era de veinte codos según el ancho del frente de la casa, y su anchura de veinte codos; y lo cubrió de oro fino que ascendía a seiscientos talentos. 9Y el peso de los clavos era de uno hasta cincuenta siclos de oro. Cubrió también de oro los aposentos.

10Y dentro del lugar santísimo hizo dos querubines de madera, los cuales fueron cubiertos de oro. 11La longitud de las alas de los querubines era de veinte codos; porque una ala era de cinco codos, la cual llegaba hasta la pared de la casa, y la otra de cinco codos, la cual tocaba el ala del otro querubín. 12De la misma manera una ala del otro querubín era de cinco codos, la cual llegaba hasta la pared de la casa, y la otra era de cinco codos, que tocaba el ala del otro querubín. 13Estos querubines tenían las alas extendidas por veinte codos, y estaban en pie con los rostros hacia la casa. 14Hizo también el velo de azul, púrpura, carmesí y lino, e hizo realzar querubines en él.

Las dos columnas

(1 R. 7.15-22)

15Delante de la casa hizo dos columnas de treinta y cinco codos de altura cada una, con sus capiteles encima, de cinco codos. 16Hizo asimismo cadenas en el santuario, y las puso sobre los capiteles de las columnas; e hizo cien granadas, las cuales puso en las cadenas. 17Y colocó las columnas delante del templo, una a la mano derecha, y otra a la izquierda; y a la de la mano derecha llamó Jaquín, y a la de la izquierda, Boaz.

Solomon Builds the Temple

1 Then Solomon began to build the house of the Lord in Jerusalem on Mount Moriah, where the Lord had appeared to David his father, at the place that David had appointed, on the threshing floor of Ornan the Jebusite. 2He began to build in the second month of the fourth year of his reign. 3These are Solomon’s measurements for building the house of God: the length, in cubits of the old standard, was sixty cubits, and the breadth twenty cubits. 4The vestibule in front of the nave of the house was twenty cubits long, equal to the width of the house, and its height was 120 cubits. He overlaid it on the inside with pure gold. 5The nave he lined with cypress and covered it with fine gold and made palms and chains on it. 6He adorned the house with settings of precious stones. The gold was gold of Parvaim. 7So he lined the house with gold—its beams, its thresholds, its walls, and its doors—and he carved cherubim on the walls.

8 And he made the Most Holy Place. Its length, corresponding to the breadth of the house, was twenty cubits, and its breadth was twenty cubits. He overlaid it with 600 talents of fine gold. 9The weight of gold for the nails was fifty shekels. And he overlaid the upper chambers with gold.

10 In the Most Holy Place he made two cherubim of wood and overlaid them with gold. 11The wings of the cherubim together extended twenty cubits: one wing of the one, of five cubits, touched the wall of the house, and its other wing, of five cubits, touched the wing of the other cherub; 12and of this cherub, one wing, of five cubits, touched the wall of the house, and the other wing, also of five cubits, was joined to the wing of the first cherub. 13The wings of these cherubim extended twenty cubits. The cherubim stood on their feet, facing the nave. 14And he made the veil of blue and purple and crimson fabrics and fine linen, and he worked cherubim on it.

15 In front of the house he made two pillars thirty-five cubits high, with a capital of five cubits on the top of each. 16He made chains like a necklace and put them on the tops of the pillars, and he made a hundred pomegranates and put them on the chains. 17He set up the pillars in front of the temple, one on the south, the other on the north; that on the south he called Jachin, and that on the north Boaz.
