제 8 장

솔로몬의 업적(왕상 9:10-28)

1   솔로몬이 여호와의 전과 자기의 궁궐을 이십 년 동안에 건축하기를 마치고

2   후람이 솔로몬에게 되돌려 준 성읍들을 솔로몬이 건축하여 이스라엘 자손에게 거기에 거주하게 하니라

3   솔로몬이 가서 하맛소바를 쳐서 점령하고

4   또 광야에서 다드몰을 건축하고 하맛에서 모든 국고성들을 건축하고

5   또 윗 벧호론과 아랫 벧호론을 건축하되 성벽과 문과 문빗장이 있게 하여 견고한 성읍으로 만들고

6   또 바알랏과 자기에게 있는 모든 국고성들과 모든 병거성들과 마병의 성들을 건축하고 솔로몬이 또 예루살렘과 레바논과 그가 다스리는 온 땅에 건축하고자 하던 것을 다 건축하니라

7   이스라엘이 아닌 헷 족속과 아모리 족속과 브리스 족속과 히위 족속과 여부스 족속의 남아 있는 모든 자

8   곧 이스라엘 자손이 다 멸하지 않았으므로 그 땅에 남아 있는 그들의 자손들을 솔로몬이 역군으로 삼아 오늘에 이르렀으되

9   오직 이스라엘 자손은 솔로몬이 노예로 삼아 일을 시키지 아니하였으니 그들은 군사와 지휘관의 우두머리들과 그의 병거와 마병의 지휘관들이 됨이라

10   솔로몬 왕의 공장을 감독하는 자들이 이백오십 명이라 그들이 백성을 다스렸더라

11   솔로몬이 바로의 딸을 데리고 다윗 성에서부터 그를 위하여 건축한 왕궁에 이르러 이르되 내 아내가 이스라엘 왕 다윗의 왕궁에 살지 못하리니 이는 여호와의 궤가 이른 곳은 다 거룩함이니라 하였더라

12   솔로몬이 낭실 앞에 쌓은 여호와의 제단 위에 여호와께 번제를 드리되

13   모세의 명령을 따라 매일의 일과대로 안식일과 초하루와 정한 절기 곧 일년의 세 절기 무교절과 칠칠절과 초막절에 드렸더라

14   솔로몬이 또 그의 아버지 다윗의 규례를 따라 제사장들의 반열을 정하여 섬기게 하고 레위 사람들에게도 그 직분을 맡겨 매일의 일과대로 찬송하며 제사장들 앞에서 수종들게 하며 또 문지기들에게 그 반열을 따라 각 문을 지키게 하였으니 이는 하나님의 사람 다윗이 전에 이렇게 명령하였음이라

15   제사장들과 레위 사람들이 국고 일에든지 무슨 일에든지 왕이 명령한 바를 전혀 어기지 아니하였더라

16   솔로몬이 여호와의 전의 기초를 쌓던 날부터 준공하기까지 모든 것을 완비하였으므로 여호와의 전 공사가 결점 없이 끝나니라

17   그 때에 솔로몬이 에돔 땅의 바닷가 에시온게벨과 엘롯에 이르렀더니

18   후람이 그의 신복들에게 부탁하여 배와 바닷길을 아는 종들을 보내매 그들이 솔로몬의 종들과 함께 오빌에 이르러 거기서 금 사백오십 달란트를 얻어 솔로몬 왕에게로 가져왔더라

1Después de veinte años, durante los cuales Salomón había edificado la casa de Jehová y su propia casa, 2reedificó Salomón las ciudades que Hiram le había dado, y estableció en ellas a los hijos de Israel.

3Después vino Salomón a Hamat de Soba, y la tomó. 4Y edificó a Tadmor en el desierto, y todas las ciudades de aprovisionamiento que edificó en Hamat. 5Asimismo reedificó a Bet-horón la de arriba y a Bet-horón la de abajo, ciudades fortificadas, con muros, puertas y barras; 6y a Baalat, y a todas las ciudades de provisiones que Salomón tenía; también todas las ciudades de los carros y las de la gente de a caballo, y todo lo que Salomón quiso edificar en Jerusalén, en el Líbano, y en toda la tierra de su dominio. 7Y a todo el pueblo que había quedado de los heteos, amorreos, ferezeos, heveos y jebuseos, que no eran de Israel, 8los hijos de los que habían quedado en la tierra después de ellos, a los cuales los hijos de Israel no destruyeron del todo, hizo Salomón tributarios hasta hoy. 9Pero de los hijos de Israel no puso Salomón siervos en su obra; porque eran hombres de guerra, y sus oficiales y sus capitanes, y comandantes de sus carros, y su gente de a caballo. 10Y tenía Salomón doscientos cincuenta gobernadores principales, los cuales mandaban sobre aquella gente.

11Y pasó Salomón a la hija de Faraón, de la ciudad de David a la casa que él había edificado para ella; porque dijo: Mi mujer no morará en la casa de David rey de Israel, porque aquellas habitaciones donde ha entrado el arca de Jehová, son sagradas.

12Entonces ofreció Salomón holocaustos a Jehová sobre el altar de Jehová que él había edificado delante del pórtico, 13para que ofreciesen cada cosa en su día, conforme al mandamiento de Moisés, en los días de reposo,, en las nuevas lunas, y en las fiestas solemnes tres veces en el año, esto es, en la fiesta de los panes sin levadura, en la fiesta de las semanas y en la fiesta de los tabernáculos. 14Y constituyó los turnos de los sacerdotes en sus oficios, conforme a lo ordenado por David su padre, y los levitas en sus cargos, para que alabasen y ministrasen delante de los sacerdotes, cada cosa en su día; asimismo los porteros por su orden a cada puerta; porque así lo había mandado David, varón de Dios. 15Y no se apartaron del mandamiento del rey, en cuanto a los sacerdotes y los levitas, y los tesoros, y todo negocio; 16porque toda la obra de Salomón estaba preparada desde el día en que se pusieron los cimientos de la casa de Jehová hasta que fue terminada, hasta que la casa de Jehová fue acabada totalmente.

17Entonces Salomón fue a Ezión-geber y a Elot, a la costa del mar en la tierra de Edom. 18Porque Hiram le había enviado naves por mano de sus siervos, y marineros diestros en el mar, los cuales fueron con los siervos de Salomón a Ofir, y tomaron de allá cuatrocientos cincuenta talentos de oro, y los trajeron al rey Salomón.

Solomon’s Accomplishments

1 At the end of twenty years, in which Solomon had built the house of the Lord and his own house, 2Solomon rebuilt the cities that Hiram had given to him, and settled the people of Israel in them.

3And Solomon went to Hamath-zobah and took it. 4He built Tadmor in the wilderness and all the store cities that he built in Hamath. 5He also built Upper Beth-horon and Lower Beth-horon, fortified cities with walls, gates, and bars, 6and Baalath, and all the store cities that Solomon had and all the cities for his chariots and the cities for his horsemen, and whatever Solomon desired to build in Jerusalem, in Lebanon, and in all the land of his dominion. 7All the people who were left of the Hittites, the Amorites, the Perizzites, the Hivites, and the Jebusites, who were not of Israel, 8from their descendants who were left after them in the land, whom the people of Israel had not destroyed—these Solomon drafted as forced labor, and so they are to this day. 9But of the people of Israel Solomon made no slaves for his work; they were soldiers, and his officers, the commanders of his chariots, and his horsemen. 10And these were the chief officers of King Solomon, 250, who exercised authority over the people.

11 Solomon brought Pharaoh’s daughter up from the city of David to the house that he had built for her, for he said, “My wife shall not live in the house of David king of Israel, for the places to which the ark of the Lord has come are holy.”

12Then Solomon offered up burnt offerings to the Lord on the altar of the Lord that he had built before the vestibule, 13as the duty of each day required, offering according to the commandment of Moses for the Sabbaths, the new moons, and the three annual feasts—the Feast of Unleavened Bread, the Feast of Weeks, and the Feast of Booths. 14According to the ruling of David his father, he appointed the divisions of the priests for their service, and the Levites for their offices of praise and ministry before the priests as the duty of each day required, and the gatekeepers in their divisions at each gate, for so David the man of God had commanded. 15And they did not turn aside from what the king had commanded the priests and Levites concerning any matter and concerning the treasuries.

16Thus was accomplished all the work of Solomon from the day the foundation of the house of the Lord was laid until it was finished. So the house of the Lord was completed.

17Then Solomon went to Ezion-geber and Eloth on the shore of the sea, in the land of Edom. 18And Hiram sent to him by the hand of his servants ships and servants familiar with the sea, and they went to Ophir together with the servants of Solomon and brought from there 450 talents of gold and brought it to King Solomon.
