제 28 장

다윗이 성전 건축을 지시하다

1   다윗이 이스라엘 모든 고관들 곧 각 지파의 어른과 왕을 섬기는 반장들과 천부장들과 백부장들과 및 왕과 왕자의 모든 소유와 가축의 감독과 내시와 장사와 모든 용사를 예루살렘으로 소집하고

2   이에 다윗 왕이 일어서서 이르되 나의 형제들, 나의 백성들아 내 말을 들으라 나는 여호와의 언약궤 곧 우리 하나님의 발판을 봉안할 성전을 건축할 마음이 있어서 건축할 재료를 준비하였으나

3   하나님이 내게 이르시되 너는 전쟁을 많이 한 사람이라 피를 많이 흘렸으니 내 이름을 위하여 성전을 건축하지 못하리라 하셨느니라

4   그러나 이스라엘 하나님 여호와께서 전에 나를 내 부친의 온 집에서 택하여 영원히 이스라엘 왕이 되게 하셨나니 곧 하나님이 유다 지파를 택하사 머리를 삼으시고 유다의 가문에서 내 부친의 집을 택하시고 내 부친의 아들들 중에서 나를 기뻐하사 온 이스라엘의 왕을 삼으셨느니라

5   여호와께서 내게 여러 아들을 주시고 그 모든 아들 중에서 내 아들 솔로몬을 택하사 여호와의 나라 왕위에 앉혀 이스라엘을 다스리게 하려 하실새

6   내게 이르시기를 네 아들 솔로몬 그가 내 성전을 건축하고 내 여러 뜰을 만들리니 이는 내가 그를 택하여 내 아들로 삼고 나는 그의 아버지가 될 것임이라

7   그가 만일 나의 계명과 법도를 힘써 준행하기를 오늘과 같이 하면 내가 그의 나라를 영원히 견고하게 하리라 하셨느니라

8   이제 너희는 온 이스라엘 곧 여호와의 회중이 보는 데에서와 우리 하나님이 들으시는 데에서 너희 하나님 여호와의 모든 계명을 구하여 지키기로 하라 그리하면 너희가 이 아름다운 땅을 누리고 너희 후손에게 끼쳐 영원한 기업이 되게 하리라

9   내 아들 솔로몬아 너는 네 아버지의 하나님을 알고 온전한 마음과 기쁜 뜻으로 섬길지어다 여호와께서는 모든 마음을 감찰하사 모든 의도를 아시나니 네가 만일 그를 찾으면 만날 것이요 만일 네가 그를 버리면 그가 너를 영원히 버리시리라

10   그런즉 이제 너는 삼갈지어다 여호와께서 너를 택하여 성전의 건물을 건축하게 하셨으니 힘써 행할지니라 하니라

11   다윗이 성전의 복도와 그 집들과 그 곳간과 다락과 골방과 속죄소의 설계도를 그의 아들 솔로몬에게 주고

12   또 그가 영감으로 받은 모든 것 곧 여호와의 성전의 뜰과 사면의 모든 방과 하나님의 성전 곳간과 성물 곳간의 설계도를 주고

13   또 제사장과 레위 사람의 반열과 여호와의 성전에서 섬기는 모든 일과 여호와의 성전을 섬기는 데에 쓰는 모든 그릇의 양식을 설명하고

14   또 모든 섬기는 데에 쓰는 금 기구를 만들 금의 무게와 모든 섬기는 데에 쓰는 은 기구를 만들 은의 무게를 정하고

15   또 금 등잔대들과 그 등잔 곧 각 등잔대와 그 등잔을 만들 금의 무게와 은 등잔대와 그 등잔을 만들 은의 무게를 각기 그 기구에 알맞게 하고

16   또 진설병의 각 상을 만들 금의 무게를 정하고 은상을 만들 은도 그렇게 하고

17   갈고리와 대접과 종지를 만들 순금과 금 잔 곧 각 잔을 만들 금의 무게와 또 은 잔 곧 각 잔을 만들 은의 무게를 정하고

18   또 향단에 쓸 순금과 또 수레 곧 금 그룹들의 설계도대로 만들 금의 무게를 정해 주니 이 그룹들은 날개를 펴서 여호와의 언약궤를 덮는 것이더라

19   다윗이 이르되 여호와의 손이 내게 임하여 이 모든 일의 설계를 그려 나에게 알려 주셨느니라

20   또 그의 아들 솔로몬에게 이르되 너는 강하고 담대하게 이 일을 행하라 두려워하지 말며 놀라지 말라 네가 여호와의 성전 공사의 모든 일을 마치기까지 여호와 하나님 나의 하나님이 너와 함께 계시사 네게서 떠나지 아니하시고 너를 버리지 아니하시리라

21   제사장과 레위 사람의 반이 있으니 하나님의 성전의 모든 공사를 도울 것이요 또 모든 공사에 유능한 기술자가 기쁜 마음으로 너와 함께 할 것이요 또 모든 지휘관과 백성이 온전히 네 명령 아래에 있으리라

Salomón sucede a David

1Reunió David en Jerusalén a todos los principales de Israel, los jefes de las tribus, los jefes de las divisiones que servían al rey, los jefes de millares y de centenas, los administradores de toda la hacienda y posesión del rey y de sus hijos, y los oficiales y los más poderosos y valientes de sus hombres. 2Y levantándose el rey David, puesto en pie dijo: Oídme, hermanos míos, y pueblo mío. Yo tenía el propósito de edificar una casa en la cual reposara el arca del pacto de Jehová, y para el estrado de los pies de nuestro Dios; y había ya preparado todo para edificar. 3Mas Dios me dijo: Tú no edificarás casa a mi nombre, porque eres hombre de guerra, y has derramado mucha sangre. 4Pero Jehová el Dios de Israel me eligió de toda la casa de mi padre, para que perpetuamente fuese rey sobre Israel; porque a Judá escogió por caudillo, y de la casa de Judá a la familia de mi padre; y de entre los hijos de mi padre se agradó de mí para ponerme por rey sobre todo Israel. 5Y de entre todos mis hijos (porque Jehová me ha dado muchos hijos), eligió a mi hijo Salomón para que se siente en el trono del reino de Jehová sobre Israel. 6Y me ha dicho: Salomón tu hijo, él edificará mi casa y mis atrios; porque a este he escogido por hijo, y yo le seré a él por padre. 7Asimismo yo confirmaré su reino para siempre, si él se esforzare a poner por obra mis mandamientos y mis decretos, como en este día. 8Ahora, pues, ante los ojos de todo Israel, congregación de Jehová, y en oídos de nuestro Dios, guardad e inquirid todos los preceptos de Jehová vuestro Dios, para que poseáis la buena tierra, y la dejéis en herencia a vuestros hijos después de vosotros perpetuamente.

9Y tú, Salomón, hijo mío, reconoce al Dios de tu padre, y sírvele con corazón perfecto y con ánimo voluntario; porque Jehová escudriña los corazones de todos, y entiende todo intento de los pensamientos. Si tú le buscares, lo hallarás; mas si lo dejares, él te desechará para siempre. 10Mira, pues, ahora, que Jehová te ha elegido para que edifiques casa para el santuario; esfuérzate, y hazla.

11Y David dio a Salomón su hijo el plano del pórtico del templo y sus casas, sus tesorerías, sus aposentos, sus cámaras y la casa del propiciatorio. 12Asimismo el plano de todas las cosas que tenía en mente para los atrios de la casa de Jehová, para todas las cámaras alrededor, para las tesorerías de la casa de Dios, y para las tesorerías de las cosas santificadas. 13También para los grupos de los sacerdotes y de los levitas, para toda la obra del ministerio de la casa de Jehová, y para todos los utensilios del ministerio de la casa de Jehová. 14Y dio oro en peso para las cosas de oro, para todos los utensilios de cada servicio, y plata en peso para todas las cosas de plata, para todos los utensilios de cada servicio. 15Oro en peso para los candeleros de oro, y para sus lámparas; en peso el oro para cada candelero y sus lámparas; y para los candeleros de plata, plata en peso para cada candelero y sus lámparas, conforme al servicio de cada candelero. 16Asimismo dio oro en peso para las mesas de la proposición, para cada mesa; del mismo modo plata para las mesas de plata. 17También oro puro para los garfios, para los lebrillos, para las copas y para las tazas de oro; para cada taza por peso; y para las tazas de plata, por peso para cada taza. 18Además, oro puro en peso para el altar del incienso, y para el carro de los querubines de oro, que con las alas extendidas cubrían el arca del pacto de Jehová. 19Todas estas cosas, dijo David, me fueron trazadas por la mano de Jehová, que me hizo entender todas las obras del diseño.

20Dijo además David a Salomón su hijo: Anímate y esfuérzate, y manos a la obra; no temas, ni desmayes, porque Jehová Dios, mi Dios, estará contigo; él no te dejará ni te desamparará, hasta que acabes toda la obra para el servicio de la casa de Jehová. 21He aquí los grupos de los sacerdotes y de los levitas, para todo el ministerio de la casa de Dios, estarán contigo en toda la obra; asimismo todos los voluntarios e inteligentes para toda forma de servicio, y los príncipes, y todo el pueblo para ejecutar todas tus órdenes.

David’s Charge to Israel

1 David assembled at Jerusalem all the officials of Israel, the officials of the tribes, the officers of the divisions that served the king, the commanders of thousands, the commanders of hundreds, the stewards of all the property and livestock of the king and his sons, together with the palace officials, the mighty men and all the seasoned warriors. 2Then King David rose to his feet and said: “Hear me, my brothers and my people. I had it in my heart to build a house of rest for the ark of the covenant of the Lord and for the footstool of our God, and I made preparations for building. 3But God said to me, ‘You may not build a house for my name, for you are a man of war and have shed blood.’ 4Yet the Lord God of Israel chose me from all my father’s house to be king over Israel forever. For he chose Judah as leader, and in the house of Judah my father’s house, and among my father’s sons he took pleasure in me to make me king over all Israel. 5And of all my sons (for the Lord has given me many sons) he has chosen Solomon my son to sit on the throne of the kingdom of the Lord over Israel. 6He said to me, ‘It is Solomon your son who shall build my house and my courts, for I have chosen him to be my son, and I will be his father. 7I will establish his kingdom forever if he continues strong in keeping my commandments and my rules, as he is today.’ 8Now therefore in the sight of all Israel, the assembly of the Lord, and in the hearing of our God, observe and seek out all the commandments of the Lord your God, that you may possess this good land and leave it for an inheritance to your children after you forever.

David’s Charge to Solomon

9“And you, Solomon my son, know the God of your father and serve him with a whole heart and with a willing mind, for the Lord searches all hearts and understands every plan and thought. If you seek him, he will be found by you, but if you forsake him, he will cast you off forever. 10Be careful now, for the Lord has chosen you to build a house for the sanctuary; be strong and do it.”

11Then David gave Solomon his son the plan of the vestibule of the temple, and of its houses, its treasuries, its upper rooms, and its inner chambers, and of the room for the mercy seat; 12and the plan of all that he had in mind for the courts of the house of the Lord, all the surrounding chambers, the treasuries of the house of God, and the treasuries for dedicated gifts; 13for the divisions of the priests and of the Levites, and all the work of the service in the house of the Lord; for all the vessels for the service in the house of the Lord, 14the weight of gold for all golden vessels for each service, the weight of silver vessels for each service, 15the weight of the golden lampstands and their lamps, the weight of gold for each lampstand and its lamps, the weight of silver for a lampstand and its lamps, according to the use of each lampstand in the service, 16the weight of gold for each table for the showbread, the silver for the silver tables, 17and pure gold for the forks, the basins and the cups; for the golden bowls and the weight of each; for the silver bowls and the weight of each; 18for the altar of incense made of refined gold, and its weight; also his plan for the golden chariot of the cherubim that spread their wings and covered the ark of the covenant of the Lord. 19“All this he made clear to me in writing from the hand of the Lord, all the work to be done according to the plan.”

20Then David said to Solomon his son, “Be strong and courageous and do it. Do not be afraid and do not be dismayed, for the Lord God, even my God, is with you. He will not leave you or forsake you, until all the work for the service of the house of the Lord is finished. 21And behold the divisions of the priests and the Levites for all the service of the house of God; and with you in all the work will be every willing man who has skill for any kind of service; also the officers and all the people will be wholly at your command.”
