제 29 장

성전 건축에 쓸 예물

1   다윗 왕이 온 회중에게 이르되 내 아들 솔로몬이 유일하게 하나님께서 택하신 바 되었으나 아직 어리고 미숙하며 이 공사는 크도다 이 성전은 사람을 위한 것이 아니요 여호와 하나님을 위한 것이라

2   내가 이미 내 하나님의 성전을 위하여 힘을 다하여 준비하였나니 곧 기구를 만들 금과 은과 놋과 철과 나무와 또 마노와 가공할 검은 보석과 채석과 다른 모든 보석과 옥돌이 매우 많으며

3   성전을 위하여 준비한 이 모든 것 외에도 내 마음이 내 하나님의 성전을 사모하므로 내가 사유한 금, 은으로 내 하나님의 성전을 위하여 드렸노니

4   곧 오빌의 금 삼천 달란트와 순은 칠천 달란트라 모든 성전 벽에 입히며

5   금, 은 그릇을 만들며 장인의 손으로 하는 모든 일에 쓰게 하였노니 오늘 누가 즐거이 손에 채워 여호와께 드리겠느냐 하는지라

6   이에 모든 가문의 지도자들과 이스라엘 모든 지파의 지도자들과 천부장과 백부장과 왕의 사무관이 다 즐거이 드리되

7   하나님의 성전 공사를 위하여 금 오천 달란트와 금 만 다릭 은 만 달란트와 놋 만 팔천 달란트와 철 십만 달란트를 드리고

8   보석을 가진 모든 사람은 게르손 사람 여히엘의 손에 맡겨 여호와의 성전 곳간에 드렸더라

9   백성들은 자원하여 드렸으므로 기뻐하였으니 곧 그들이 성심으로 여호와께 자원하여 드렸으므로 다윗 왕도 심히 기뻐하니라

다윗의 감사 기도

10   다윗이 온 회중 앞에서 여호와를 송축하여 이르되 우리 조상 이스라엘의 하나님 여호와여 주는 영원부터 영원까지 송축을 받으시옵소서

11   여호와여 위대하심과 권능과 영광과 승리와 위엄이 다 주께 속하였사오니 천지에 있는 것이 다 주의 것이로소이다 여호와여 주권도 주께 속하였사오니 주는 높으사 만물의 머리이심이니이다

12   부와 귀가 주께로 말미암고 또 주는 만물의 주재가 되사 손에 권세와 능력이 있사오니 모든 사람을 크게 하심과 강하게 하심이 주의 손에 있나이다

13   우리 하나님이여 이제 우리가 주께 감사하오며 주의 영화로운 이름을 찬양하나이다

14   나와 내 백성이 무엇이기에 이처럼 즐거운 마음으로 드릴 힘이 있었나이까 모든 것이 주께로 말미암았사오니 우리가 주의 손에서 받은 것으로 주께 드렸을 뿐이니이다

15   우리는 우리 조상들과 같이 주님 앞에서 이방 나그네와 거류민들이라 세상에 있는 날이 그림자 같아서 희망이 없나이다

16   우리 하나님 여호와여 우리가 주의 거룩한 이름을 위하여 성전을 건축하려고 미리 저축한 이 모든 물건이 다 주의 손에서 왔사오니 다 주의 것이니이다

17   나의 하나님이여 주께서 마음을 감찰하시고 정직을 기뻐하시는 줄을 내가 아나이다 내가 정직한 마음으로 이 모든 것을 즐거이 드렸사오며 이제 내가 또 여기 있는 주의 백성이 주께 자원하여 드리는 것을 보오니 심히 기쁘도소이다

18   우리 조상들 아브라함과 이삭과 이스라엘의 하나님 여호와여 주께서 이것을 주의 백성의 심중에 영원히 두어 생각하게 하시고 그 마음을 준비하여 주께로 돌아오게 하시오며

19   또 내 아들 솔로몬에게 정성된 마음을 주사 주의 계명과 권면과 율례를 지켜 이 모든 일을 행하게 하시고 내가 위하여 준비한 것으로 성전을 건축하게 하옵소서 하였더라

20   다윗이 온 회중에게 이르되 너희는 너희 하나님 여호와를 송축하라 하매 회중이 그의 조상들의 하나님 여호와를 송축하고 머리를 숙여 여호와와 왕에게 절하고

21   이튿날 여호와께 제사를 드리고 또 여호와께 번제를 드리니 수송아지가 천 마리요 숫양이 천 마리요 어린 양이 천 마리요 또 그 전제라 온 이스라엘을 위하여 풍성한 제물을 드리고

22   이 날에 무리가 크게 기뻐하여 여호와 앞에서 먹으며 마셨더라

무리가 다윗의 아들 솔로몬을 다시 왕으로 삼아 기름을 부어 여호와께 돌려 주권자가 되게 하고 사독에게도 기름을 부어 제사장이 되게 하니라

23   솔로몬이 여호와께서 주신 왕위에 앉아 아버지 다윗을 이어 왕이 되어 형통하니 온 이스라엘이 그의 명령에 순종하며

24   모든 방백과 용사와 다윗 왕의 여러 아들들이 솔로몬 왕에게 복종하니

25   여호와께서 솔로몬을 모든 이스라엘의 목전에서 심히 크게 하시고 또 왕의 위엄을 그에게 주사 그전 이스라엘 모든 왕보다 뛰어나게 하셨더라

다윗의 행적

26   이새의 아들 다윗이 온 이스라엘의 왕이 되어

27   이스라엘을 다스린 기간은 사십 년이라 헤브론에서 칠 년간 다스렸고 예루살렘에서 삼십삼 년을 다스렸더라

28   그가 나이 많아 늙도록 부하고 존귀를 누리다가 죽으매 그의 아들 솔로몬이 대신하여 왕이 되니라

29   다윗 왕의 행적은 처음부터 끝까지 선견자 사무엘의 글과 선지자 나단의 글과 선견자 갓의 글에 다 기록되고

30   또 그의 왕 된 일과 그의 권세와 그와 이스라엘과 온 세상 모든 나라의 지난 날의 역사가 다 기록되어 있느니라

1Después dijo el rey David a toda la asamblea: Solamente a Salomón mi hijo ha elegido Dios; él es joven y tierno de edad, y la obra grande; porque la casa no es para hombre, sino para Jehová Dios. 2Yo con todas mis fuerzas he preparado para la casa de mi Dios, oro para las cosas de oro, plata para las cosas de plata, bronce para las de bronce, hierro para las de hierro, y madera para las de madera; y piedras de ónice, piedras preciosas, piedras negras, piedras de diversos colores, y toda clase de piedras preciosas, y piedras de mármol en abundancia. 3Además de esto, por cuanto tengo mi afecto en la casa de mi Dios, yo guardo en mi tesoro particular oro y plata que, además de todas las cosas que he preparado para la casa del santuario, he dado para la casa de mi Dios: 4tres mil talentos de oro, de oro de Ofir, y siete mil talentos de plata refinada para cubrir las paredes de las casas; 5oro, pues, para las cosas de oro, y plata para las cosas de plata, y para toda la obra de las manos de los artífices. ¿Y quién quiere hacer hoy ofrenda voluntaria a Jehová?

6Entonces los jefes de familia, y los príncipes de las tribus de Israel, jefes de millares y de centenas, con los administradores de la hacienda del rey, ofrecieron voluntariamente. 7Y dieron para el servicio de la casa de Dios cinco mil talentos y diez mil dracmas de oro, diez mil talentos de plata, dieciocho mil talentos de bronce, y cinco mil talentos de hierro. 8Y todo el que tenía piedras preciosas las dio para el tesoro de la casa de Jehová, en mano de Jehiel gersonita. 9Y se alegró el pueblo por haber contribuido voluntariamente; porque de todo corazón ofrecieron a Jehová voluntariamente.

10Asimismo se alegró mucho el rey David, y bendijo a Jehová delante de toda la congregación; y dijo David: Bendito seas tú, oh Jehová, Dios de Israel nuestro padre, desde el siglo y hasta el siglo. 11Tuya es, oh Jehová, la magnificencia y el poder, la gloria, la victoria y el honor; porque todas las cosas que están en los cielos y en la tierra son tuyas. Tuyo, oh Jehová, es el reino, y tú eres excelso sobre todos. 12Las riquezas y la gloria proceden de ti, y tú dominas sobre todo; en tu mano está la fuerza y el poder, y en tu mano el hacer grande y el dar poder a todos. 13Ahora pues, Dios nuestro, nosotros alabamos y loamos tu glorioso nombre.

14Porque ¿quién soy yo, y quién es mi pueblo, para que pudiésemos ofrecer voluntariamente cosas semejantes? Pues todo es tuyo, y de lo recibido de tu mano te damos. 15Porque nosotros, extranjeros y advenedizos somos delante de ti, como todos nuestros padres; y nuestros días sobre la tierra, cual sombra que no dura. 16Oh Jehová Dios nuestro, toda esta abundancia que hemos preparado para edificar casa a tu santo nombre, de tu mano es, y todo es tuyo. 17Yo sé, Dios mío, que tú escudriñas los corazones, y que la rectitud te agrada; por eso yo con rectitud de mi corazón voluntariamente te he ofrecido todo esto, y ahora he visto con alegría que tu pueblo, reunido aquí ahora, ha dado para ti espontáneamente. 18Jehová, Dios de Abraham, de Isaac y de Israel nuestros padres, conserva perpetuamente esta voluntad del corazón de tu pueblo, y encamina su corazón a ti. 19Asimismo da a mi hijo Salomón corazón perfecto, para que guarde tus mandamientos, tus testimonios y tus estatutos, y para que haga todas las cosas, y te edifique la casa para la cual yo he hecho preparativos.

20Después dijo David a toda la congregación: Bendecid ahora a Jehová vuestro Dios. Entonces toda la congregación bendijo a Jehová Dios de sus padres, e inclinándose adoraron delante de Jehová y del rey. 21Y sacrificaron víctimas a Jehová, y ofrecieron a Jehová holocaustos al día siguiente; mil becerros, mil carneros, mil corderos con sus libaciones, y muchos sacrificios de parte de todo Israel. 22Y comieron y bebieron delante de Jehová aquel día con gran gozo; y dieron por segunda vez la investidura del reino a Salomón hijo de David, y ante Jehová le ungieron por príncipe, y a Sadoc por sacerdote.

23Y se sentó Salomón por rey en el trono de Jehová en lugar de David su padre, y fue prosperado; y le obedeció todo Israel. 24Y todos los príncipes y poderosos, y todos los hijos del rey David, prestaron homenaje al rey Salomón. 25Y Jehová engrandeció en extremo a Salomón a ojos de todo Israel, y le dio tal gloria en su reino, cual ningún rey la tuvo antes de él en Israel.

Muerte de David

(1 R. 2.10-12)

26Así reinó David hijo de Isaí sobre todo Israel. 27El tiempo que reinó sobre Israel fue cuarenta años. Siete años reinó en Hebrón, y treinta y tres reinó en Jerusalén. 28Y murió en buena vejez, lleno de días, de riquezas y de gloria; y reinó en su lugar Salomón su hijo. 29Y los hechos del rey David, primeros y postreros, están escritos en el libro de las crónicas de Samuel vidente, en las crónicas del profeta Natán, y en las crónicas de Gad vidente, 30con todo lo relativo a su reinado, y su poder, y los tiempos que pasaron sobre él, y sobre Israel y sobre todos los reinos de aquellas tierras.

Offerings for the Temple

1And David the king said to all the assembly, “Solomon my son, whom alone God has chosen, is young and inexperienced, and the work is great, for the palace will not be for man but for the Lord God. 2So I have provided for the house of my God, so far as I was able, the gold for the things of gold, the silver for the things of silver, and the bronze for the things of bronze, the iron for the things of iron, and wood for the things of wood, besides great quantities of onyx and stones for setting, antimony, colored stones, all sorts of precious stones and marble. 3Moreover, in addition to all that I have provided for the holy house, I have a treasure of my own of gold and silver, and because of my devotion to the house of my God I give it to the house of my God: 43,000 talents of gold, of the gold of Ophir, and 7,000 talents of refined silver, for overlaying the walls of the house, 5and for all the work to be done by craftsmen, gold for the things of gold and silver for the things of silver. Who then will offer willingly, consecrating himself today to the Lord?”

6Then the leaders of fathers’ houses made their freewill offerings, as did also the leaders of the tribes, the commanders of thousands and of hundreds, and the officers over the king’s work. 7They gave for the service of the house of God 5,000 talents and 10,000 darics of gold, 10,000 talents of silver, 18,000 talents of bronze and 100,000 talents of iron. 8And whoever had precious stones gave them to the treasury of the house of the Lord, in the care of Jehiel the Gershonite. 9Then the people rejoiced because they had given willingly, for with a whole heart they had offered freely to the Lord. David the king also rejoiced greatly.

David Prays in the Assembly

10Therefore David blessed the Lord in the presence of all the assembly. And David said: “Blessed are you, O Lord, the God of Israel our father, forever and ever. 11Yours, O Lord, is the greatness and the power and the glory and the victory and the majesty, for all that is in the heavens and in the earth is yours. Yours is the kingdom, O Lord, and you are exalted as head above all. 12Both riches and honor come from you, and you rule over all. In your hand are power and might, and in your hand it is to make great and to give strength to all. 13And now we thank you, our God, and praise your glorious name.

14“But who am I, and what is my people, that we should be able thus to offer willingly? For all things come from you, and of your own have we given you. 15For we are strangers before you and sojourners, as all our fathers were. Our days on the earth are like a shadow, and there is no abiding. 16O Lord our God, all this abundance that we have provided for building you a house for your holy name comes from your hand and is all your own. 17I know, my God, that you test the heart and have pleasure in uprightness. In the uprightness of my heart I have freely offered all these things, and now I have seen your people, who are present here, offering freely and joyously to you. 18O Lord, the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Israel, our fathers, keep forever such purposes and thoughts in the hearts of your people, and direct their hearts toward you. 19Grant to Solomon my son a whole heart that he may keep your commandments, your testimonies, and your statutes, performing all, and that he may build the palace for which I have made provision.”

20Then David said to all the assembly, “Bless the Lord your God.” And all the assembly blessed the Lord, the God of their fathers, and bowed their heads and paid homage to the Lord and to the king. 21And they offered sacrifices to the Lord, and on the next day offered burnt offerings to the Lord, 1,000 bulls, 1,000 rams, and 1,000 lambs, with their drink offerings, and sacrifices in abundance for all Israel. 22And they ate and drank before the Lord on that day with great gladness.

Solomon Anointed King

And they made Solomon the son of David king the second time, and they anointed him as prince for the Lord, and Zadok as priest.

23 Then Solomon sat on the throne of the Lord as king in place of David his father. And he prospered, and all Israel obeyed him. 24All the leaders and the mighty men, and also all the sons of King David, pledged their allegiance to King Solomon. 25And the Lord made Solomon very great in the sight of all Israel and bestowed on him such royal majesty as had not been on any king before him in Israel.

The Death of David

26Thus David the son of Jesse reigned over all Israel. 27The time that he reigned over Israel was forty years. He reigned seven years in Hebron and thirty-three years in Jerusalem. 28Then he died at a good age, full of days, riches, and honor. And Solomon his son reigned in his place. 29Now the acts of King David, from first to last, are written in the Chronicles of Samuel the seer, and in the Chronicles of Nathan the prophet, and in the Chronicles of Gad the seer, 30with accounts of all his rule and his might and of the circumstances that came upon him and upon Israel and upon all the kingdoms of the countries.
