제 7 장

느헤미야가 지도자들을 세우다

1   성벽이 건축되매 문짝을 달고 문지기와 노래하는 자들과 레위 사람들을 세운 후에

2   내 아우 하나니와 영문의 관원 하나냐가 함께 예루살렘을 다스리게 하였는데 하나냐는 충성스러운 사람이요 하나님을 경외함이 무리 중에서 뛰어난 자라

3   내가 그들에게 이르기를 해가 높이 뜨기 전에는 예루살렘 성문을 열지 말고 아직 파수할 때에 곧 문을 닫고 빗장을 지르며 또 예루살렘 주민이 각각 자기가 지키는 곳에서 파수하되 자기 집 맞은편을 지키게 하라 하였노니

4   그 성읍은 광대하고 그 주민은 적으며 가옥은 미처 건축하지 못하였음이니라

포로에서 돌아온 사람들(스 2:1-70)

5   내 하나님이 내 마음을 감동하사 귀족들과 민장들과 백성을 모아 그 계보대로 등록하게 하시므로 내가 처음으로 돌아온 자의 계보를 얻었는데 거기에 기록된 것을 보면

6   옛적에 바벨론 왕 느부갓네살에게 사로잡혀 갔던 자들 중에서 놓임을 받고 예루살렘과 유다에 돌아와 각기 자기들의 성읍에 이른 자들 곧

7   스룹바벨과 예수아와 느헤미야와 아사랴와 라아먀와 나하마니와 모르드개와 빌산과 미스베렛과 비그왜와 느훔과 바아나와 함께 나온 이스라엘 백성의 명수가 이러하니라

8   바로스 자손이 이천백칠십이 명이요

9   스바댜 자손이 삼백칠십이 명이요

10   아라 자손이 육백오십이 명이요

11   바핫모압 자손 곧 예수아와 요압 자손이 이천팔백십팔 명이요

12   엘람 자손이 천이백오십사 명이요

13   삿두 자손이 팔백사십오 명이요

14   삭개 자손이 칠백육십 명이요

15   빈누이 자손이 육백사십팔 명이요

16   브배 자손이 육백이십팔 명이요

17   아스갓 자손이 이천삼백이십이 명이요

18   아도니감 자손이 육백육십칠 명이요

19   비그왜 자손이 이천육십칠 명이요

20   아딘 자손이 육백오십오 명이요

21   아델 자손 곧 히스기야 자손이 구십팔 명이요

22   하숨 자손이 삼백이십팔 명이요

23   베새 자손이 삼백이십사 명이요

24   하립 자손이 백십이 명이요

25   기브온 사람이 구십오 명이요

26   베들레헴과 느도바 사람이 백팔십팔 명이요

27   아나돗 사람이 백이십팔 명이요

28   벧아스마웻 사람이 사십이 명이요

29   기럇여아림과 그비라와 브에롯 사람이 칠백사십삼 명이요

30   라마와 게바 사람이 육백이십일 명이요

31   믹마스 사람이 백이십이 명이요

32   벧엘과 아이 사람이 백이십삼 명이요

33   기타 느보 사람이 오십이 명이요

34   기타 엘람 자손이 천이백오십사 명이요

35   하림 자손이 삼백이십 명이요

36   여리고 자손이 삼백사십오 명이요

37   로드와 하딧과 오노 자손이 칠백이십일 명이요

38   스나아 자손이 삼천구백삼십 명이었느니라

39   제사장들은 예수아의 집 여다야 자손이 구백칠십삼 명이요

40   임멜 자손이 천오십이 명이요

41   바스훌 자손이 천이백사십칠 명이요

42   하림 자손이 천십칠 명이었느니라

43   레위 사람들은 호드야 자손 곧 예수아와 갓미엘 자손이 칠십사 명이요

44   노래하는 자들은 아삽 자손이 백사십팔 명이요

45   문지기들은 살룸 자손과 아델 자손과 달문 자손과 악굽 자손과 하디다 자손과 소배 자손이 모두 백삼십팔 명이었느니라

46   느디님 사람들은 시하 자손과 하수바 자손과 답바옷 자손과

47   게로스 자손과 시아 자손과 바돈 자손과

48   르바나 자손과 하가바 자손과 살매 자손과

49   하난 자손과 깃델 자손과 가할 자손과

50   르아야 자손과 르신 자손과 느고다 자손과

51   갓삼 자손과 웃사 자손과 바세아 자손과

52   베새 자손과 므우님 자손과 느비스심 자손과

53   박북 자손과 하그바 자손과 할훌 자손과

54   바슬릿 자손과 므히다 자손과 하르사 자손과

55   바르고스 자손과 시스라 자손과 데마 자손과

56   느시야 자손과 하디바 자손이었느니라

57   솔로몬의 신하의 자손은 소대 자손과 소베렛 자손과 브리다 자손과

58   야알라 자손과 다르곤 자손과 깃델 자손과

59   스바댜 자손과 핫딜 자손과 보게렛하스바임 자손과 아몬 자손이니

60   모든 느디님 사람과 솔로몬의 신하의 자손이 삼백구십이 명이었느니라

61   델멜라와 델하르사와 그룹과 앗돈과 임멜로부터 올라온 자가 있으나 그들의 종족이나 계보가 이스라엘에 속하였는지는 증거할 수 없으니

62   그들은 들라야 자손과 도비야 자손과 느고다 자손이라 모두가 육백사십이 명이요

63   제사장 중에는 호바야 자손과 학고스 자손과 바르실래 자손이니 바르실래는 길르앗 사람 바르실래의 딸 중의 하나로 아내를 삼고 바르실래의 이름으로 불린 자라

64   이 사람들은 계보 중에서 자기 이름을 찾아도 찾지 못하였으므로 그들을 부정하게 여겨 제사장의 직분을 행하지 못하게 하고

65   총독이 그들에게 명령하여 우림과 둠밈을 가진 제사장이 일어나기 전에는 지성물을 먹지 말라 하였느니라

66   온 회중의 합계는 사만 이천삼백육십 명이요

67   그 외에 노비가 칠천삼백삼십칠 명이요 그들에게 노래하는 남녀가 이백사십오 명이 있었고

68   말이 칠백삼십육 마리요 노새가 이백사십오 마리요

69   낙타가 사백삼십오 마리요 나귀가 육천칠백이십 마리였느니라

70   어떤 족장들은 역사를 위하여 보조하였고 총독은 금 천 드라크마와 대접 오십과 제사장의 의복 오백삼십 벌을 보물 곳간에 드렸고

71   또 어떤 족장들은 금 이만 드라크마와 은 이천이백 1)마네를 역사 곳간에 드렸고

72   그 나머지 백성은 금 이만 드라크마와 은 이천 마네와 제사장의 의복 육십칠 벌을 드렸느니라

백성 앞에서 율법책을 읽다

73   이와 같이 제사장들과 레위 사람들과 문지기들과 노래하는 자들과 백성 몇 명과 느디님 사람들과 온 이스라엘 자손이 다 자기들의 성읍에 거주하였느니라

Nehemías designa dirigentes

1Luego que el muro fue edificado, y colocadas las puertas, y fueron señalados porteros y cantores y levitas, 2mandé a mi hermano Hanani, y a Hananías, jefe de la fortaleza de Jerusalén (porque este era varón de verdad y temeroso de Dios, más que muchos); 3y les dije: No se abran las puertas de Jerusalén hasta que caliente el sol; y aunque haya gente allí, cerrad las puertas y atrancadlas. Y señalé guardas de los moradores de Jerusalén, cada cual en su turno, y cada uno delante de su casa. 4Porque la ciudad era espaciosa y grande, pero poco pueblo dentro de ella, y no había casas reedificadas.

Los que volvieron con Zorobabel

(Esd. 2.1-70)

5Entonces puso Dios en mi corazón que reuniese a los nobles y oficiales y al pueblo, para que fuesen empadronados según sus genealogías. Y hallé el libro de la genealogía de los que habían subido antes, y encontré en él escrito así: 6Estos son los hijos de la provincia que subieron del cautiverio, de los que llevó cautivos Nabucodonosor rey de Babilonia, y que volvieron a Jerusalén y a Judá, cada uno a su ciudad, 7los cuales vinieron con Zorobabel, Jesúa, Nehemías, Azarías, Raamías, Nahamani, Mardoqueo, Bilsán, Misperet, Bigvai, Nehum y Baana. El número de los varones del pueblo de Israel: 8Los hijos de Paros, dos mil ciento setenta y dos. 9Los hijos de Sefatías, trescientos setenta y dos. 10Los hijos de Ara, seiscientos cincuenta y dos. 11Los hijos de Pahat-moab, de los hijos de Jesúa y de Joab, dos mil ochocientos dieciocho. 12Los hijos de Elam, mil doscientos cincuenta y cuatro. 13Los hijos de Zatu, ochocientos cuarenta y cinco. 14Los hijos de Zacai, setecientos sesenta. 15Los hijos de Binúi, seiscientos cuarenta y ocho. 16Los hijos de Bebai, seiscientos veintiocho. 17Los hijos de Azgad, dos mil seiscientos veintidós. 18Los hijos de Adonicam, seiscientos sesenta y siete. 19Los hijos de Bigvai, dos mil sesenta y siete. 20Los hijos de Adín, seiscientos cincuenta y cinco. 21Los hijos de Ater, de Ezequías, noventa y ocho. 22Los hijos de Hasum, trescientos veintiocho. 23Los hijos de Bezai, trescientos veinticuatro. 24Los hijos de Harif, ciento doce. 25Los hijos de Gabaón, noventa y cinco. 26Los varones de Belén y de Netofa, ciento ochenta y ocho. 27Los varones de Anatot, ciento veintiocho. 28Los varones de Bet-azmavet, cuarenta y dos. 29Los varones de Quiriat-jearim, Cafira y Beerot, setecientos cuarenta y tres. 30Los varones de Ramá y de Geba, seiscientos veintiuno. 31Los varones de Micmas, ciento veintidós. 32Los varones de Bet-el y de Hai, ciento veintitrés. 33Los varones del otro Nebo, cincuenta y dos. 34Los hijos del otro Elam, mil doscientos cincuenta y cuatro. 35Los hijos de Harim, trescientos veinte. 36Los hijos de Jericó, trescientos cuarenta y cinco. 37Los hijos de Lod, Hadid y Ono, setecientos veintiuno. 38Los hijos de Senaa, tres mil novecientos treinta.

39Sacerdotes: los hijos de Jedaías, de la casa de Jesúa, novecientos setenta y tres. 40Los hijos de Imer, mil cincuenta y dos. 41Los hijos de Pasur, mil doscientos cuarenta y siete. 42Los hijos de Harim, mil diecisiete.

43Levitas: los hijos de Jesúa, de Cadmiel, de los hijos de Hodavías, setenta y cuatro.

44Cantores: los hijos de Asaf, ciento cuarenta y ocho.

45Porteros: Los hijos de Salum, los hijos de Ater, los hijos de Talmón, los hijos de Acub, los hijos de Hatita y los hijos de Sobai, ciento treinta y ocho.

46Sirvientes del templo: los hijos de Ziha, los hijos de Hasufa, los hijos de Tabaot, 47los hijos de Queros, los hijos de Siaha, los hijos de Padón, 48los hijos de Lebana, los hijos de Hagaba, los hijos de Salmai, 49los hijos de Hanán, los hijos de Gidel, los hijos de Gahar, 50los hijos de Reaía, los hijos de Rezín, los hijos de Necoda, 51los hijos de Gazam, los hijos de Uza, los hijos de Paseah, 52los hijos de Besai, los hijos de Mehunim, los hijos de Nefisesim, 53los hijos de Bacbuc, los hijos de Hacufa, los hijos de Harhur, 54los hijos de Bazlut, los hijos de Mehída, los hijos de Harsa, 55los hijos de Barcos, los hijos de Sísara, los hijos de Tema, 56los hijos de Nezía, y los hijos de Hatifa.

57Los hijos de los siervos de Salomón: los hijos de Sotai, los hijos de Soferet, los hijos de Perida, 58los hijos de Jaala, los hijos de Darcón, los hijos de Gidel, 59los hijos de Sefatías, los hijos de Hatil, los hijos de Poqueret-hazebaim, los hijos de Amón. 60Todos los sirvientes del templo e hijos de los siervos de Salomón, trescientos noventa y dos. 61Y estos son los que subieron de Tel-mela, Tel-harsa, Querub, Adón e Imer, los cuales no pudieron mostrar la casa de sus padres, ni su genealogía, si eran de Israel: 62los hijos de Delaía, los hijos de Tobías y los hijos de Necoda, seiscientos cuarenta y dos.

63Y de los sacerdotes: los hijos de Habaía, los hijos de Cos y los hijos de Barzilai, el cual tomó mujer de las hijas de Barzilai galaadita, y se llamó del nombre de ellas. 64Estos buscaron su registro de genealogías, y no se halló; y fueron excluidos del sacerdocio, 65y les dijo el gobernador que no comiesen de las cosas más santas, hasta que hubiese sacerdote con Urim y Tumim.

66Toda la congregación junta era de cuarenta y dos mil trescientos sesenta, 67sin sus siervos y siervas, que eran siete mil trescientos treinta y siete; y entre ellos había doscientos cuarenta y cinco cantores y cantoras. 68Sus caballos, setecientos treinta y seis; sus mulos, doscientos cuarenta y cinco; 69camellos, cuatrocientos treinta y cinco; asnos, seis mil setecientos veinte.

70Y algunos de los cabezas de familias dieron ofrendas para la obra. El gobernador dio para el tesoro mil dracmas de oro, cincuenta tazones, y quinientas treinta vestiduras sacerdotales. 71Los cabezas de familias dieron para el tesoro de la obra veinte mil dracmas de oro y dos mil doscientas libras de plata. 72Y el resto del pueblo dio veinte mil dracmas de oro, dos mil libras de plata, y sesenta y siete vestiduras sacerdotales. 73Y habitaron los sacerdotes, los levitas, los porteros, los cantores, los del pueblo, los sirvientes del templo y todo Israel, en sus ciudades.

Esdras lee la ley al pueblo

Venido el mes séptimo, los hijos de Israel estaban en sus ciudades;

#Nehemiah 7

1Now when the wall had been built and I had set up the doors, and the gatekeepers, the singers, and the Levites had been appointed, 2I gave my brother Hanani and Hananiah the governor of the castle charge over Jerusalem, for he was a more faithful and God-fearing man than many. 3And I said to them, “Let not the gates of Jerusalem be opened until the sun is hot. And while they are still standing guard, let them shut and bar the doors. Appoint guards from among the inhabitants of Jerusalem, some at their guard posts and some in front of their own homes.” 4The city was wide and large, but the people within it were few, and no houses had been rebuilt.

Lists of Returned Exiles

5Then my God put it into my heart to assemble the nobles and the officials and the people to be enrolled by genealogy. And I found the book of the genealogy of those who came up at the first, and I found written in it:

6 These were the people of the province who came up out of the captivity of those exiles whom Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon had carried into exile. They returned to Jerusalem and Judah, each to his town. 7They came with Zerubbabel, Jeshua, Nehemiah, Azariah, Raamiah, Nahamani, Mordecai, Bilshan, Mispereth, Bigvai, Nehum, Baanah.

The number of the men of the people of Israel: 8the sons of Parosh, 2,172. 9The sons of Shephatiah, 372. 10The sons of Arah, 652. 11The sons of Pahath-moab, namely the sons of Jeshua and Joab, 2,818. 12The sons of Elam, 1,254. 13The sons of Zattu, 845. 14The sons of Zaccai, 760. 15The sons of Binnui, 648. 16The sons of Bebai, 628. 17The sons of Azgad, 2,322. 18The sons of Adonikam, 667. 19The sons of Bigvai, 2,067. 20The sons of Adin, 655. 21The sons of Ater, namely of Hezekiah, 98. 22The sons of Hashum, 328. 23The sons of Bezai, 324. 24The sons of Hariph, 112. 25The sons of Gibeon, 95. 26The men of Bethlehem and Netophah, 188. 27The men of Anathoth, 128. 28The men of Beth-azmaveth, 42. 29The men of Kiriath-jearim, Chephirah, and Beeroth, 743. 30The men of Ramah and Geba, 621. 31The men of Michmas, 122. 32The men of Bethel and Ai, 123. 33The men of the other Nebo, 52. 34The sons of the other Elam, 1,254. 35The sons of Harim, 320. 36The sons of Jericho, 345. 37The sons of Lod, Hadid, and Ono, 721. 38The sons of Senaah, 3,930.

39The priests: the sons of Jedaiah, namely the house of Jeshua, 973. 40The sons of Immer, 1,052. 41The sons of Pashhur, 1,247. 42The sons of Harim, 1,017.

43The Levites: the sons of Jeshua, namely of Kadmiel of the sons of Hodevah, 74. 44The singers: the sons of Asaph, 148. 45The gatekeepers: the sons of Shallum, the sons of Ater, the sons of Talmon, the sons of Akkub, the sons of Hatita, the sons of Shobai, 138.

46The temple servants: the sons of Ziha, the sons of Hasupha, the sons of Tabbaoth, 47the sons of Keros, the sons of Sia, the sons of Padon, 48the sons of Lebana, the sons of Hagaba, the sons of Shalmai, 49the sons of Hanan, the sons of Giddel, the sons of Gahar, 50the sons of Reaiah, the sons of Rezin, the sons of Nekoda, 51the sons of Gazzam, the sons of Uzza, the sons of Paseah, 52the sons of Besai, the sons of Meunim, the sons of Nephushesim, 53the sons of Bakbuk, the sons of Hakupha, the sons of Harhur, 54the sons of Bazlith, the sons of Mehida, the sons of Harsha, 55the sons of Barkos, the sons of Sisera, the sons of Temah, 56the sons of Neziah, the sons of Hatipha.

57The sons of Solomon’s servants: the sons of Sotai, the sons of Sophereth, the sons of Perida, 58the sons of Jaala, the sons of Darkon, the sons of Giddel, 59the sons of Shephatiah, the sons of Hattil, the sons of Pochereth-hazzebaim, the sons of Amon.

60All the temple servants and the sons of Solomon’s servants were 392.

61 The following were those who came up from Tel-melah, Tel-harsha, Cherub, Addon, and Immer, but they could not prove their fathers’ houses nor their descent, whether they belonged to Israel: 62the sons of Delaiah, the sons of Tobiah, the sons of Nekoda, 642. 63Also, of the priests: the sons of Hobaiah, the sons of Hakkoz, the sons of Barzillai (who had taken a wife of the daughters of Barzillai the Gileadite and was called by their name). 64These sought their registration among those enrolled in the genealogies, but it was not found there, so they were excluded from the priesthood as unclean. 65The governor told them that they were not to partake of the most holy food until a priest with Urim and Thummim should arise.

Totals of People and Gifts

66The whole assembly together was 42,360, 67besides their male and female servants, of whom there were 7,337. And they had 245 singers, male and female. 68Their horses were 736, their mules 245, 69their camels 435, and their donkeys 6,720.

70Now some of the heads of fathers’ houses gave to the work. The governor gave to the treasury 1,000 darics of gold, 50 basins, 30 priests’ garments and 500 minas of silver. 71And some of the heads of fathers’ houses gave into the treasury of the work 20,000 darics of gold and 2,200 minas of silver. 72And what the rest of the people gave was 20,000 darics of gold, 2,000 minas of silver, and 67 priests’ garments.

73So the priests, the Levites, the gatekeepers, the singers, some of the people, the temple servants, and all Israel, lived in their towns.

And when the seventh month had come, the people of Israel were in their towns.
