제 27 장
유다 왕 요담(왕하 15:32-38)
1 요담이 왕위에 오를 때에 나이가 이십오 세라 예루살렘에서 십육 년 동안 다스리니라 그의 어머니의 이름은 여루사요 사독의 딸이더라
2 요담이 그의 아버지 웃시야의 모든 행위대로 여호와 보시기에 정직하게 행하였으나 여호와의 성전에는 들어가지 아니하였고 백성은 여전히 부패하였더라
3 그가 여호와의 전 윗문을 건축하고 또 오벨 성벽을 많이 증축하고
4 유다 산중에 성읍들을 건축하며 수풀 가운데에 견고한 진영들과 망대를 건축하고
5 암몬 자손의 왕과 더불어 싸워 그들을 이겼더니 그 해에 암몬 자손이 은 백 달란트와 밀 만 고르와 보리 만 고르를 바쳤고 제이년과 제삼년에도 암몬 자손이 그와 같이 바쳤더라
6 요담이 그의 하나님 여호와 앞에서 바른 길을 걸었으므로 점점 강하여졌더라
7 요담의 남은 사적과 그의 모든 전쟁과 행위는 이스라엘과 유다 열왕기에 기록되니라
8 요담이 왕위에 오를 때에 나이가 이십오 세요 예루살렘에서 다스린 지 십육 년이라
9 그가 그의 조상들과 함께 누우매 다윗 성에 장사되고 그의 아들 아하스가 대신하여 왕이 되니라

Reinado de Jotam
(2 R. 15.32-38)
1De veinticinco años era Jotam cuando comenzó a reinar, y dieciséis años reinó en Jerusalén. El nombre de su madre fue Jerusa, hija de Sadoc. 2E hizo lo recto ante los ojos de Jehová, conforme a todas las cosas que había hecho Uzías su padre, salvo que no entró en el santuario de Jehová. Pero el pueblo continuaba corrompiéndose. 3Edificó él la puerta mayor de la casa de Jehová, y sobre el muro de la fortaleza edificó mucho. 4Además edificó ciudades en las montañas de Judá, y construyó fortalezas y torres en los bosques. 5También tuvo él guerra con el rey de los hijos de Amón, a los cuales venció; y le dieron los hijos de Amón en aquel año cien talentos de plata, diez mil coros de trigo, y diez mil de cebada. Esto le dieron los hijos de Amón, y lo mismo en el segundo año y en el tercero. 6Así que Jotam se hizo fuerte, porque preparó sus caminos delante de Jehová su Dios. 7Los demás hechos de Jotam, y todas sus guerras, y sus caminos, he aquí están escritos en el libro de los reyes de Israel y de Judá. 8Cuando comenzó a reinar era de veinticinco años, y dieciséis reinó en Jerusalén. 9Y durmió Jotam con sus padres, y lo sepultaron en la ciudad de David; y reinó en su lugar Acaz su hijo.

Jotham Reigns in Judah
1 Jotham was twenty-five years old when he began to reign, and he reigned sixteen years in Jerusalem. His mother’s name was Jerushah the daughter of Zadok. 2And he did what was right in the eyes of the Lord according to all that his father Uzziah had done, except he did not enter the temple of the Lord. But the people still followed corrupt practices. 3He built the upper gate of the house of the Lord and did much building on the wall of Ophel. 4Moreover, he built cities in the hill country of Judah, and forts and towers on the wooded hills. 5He fought with the king of the Ammonites and prevailed against them. And the Ammonites gave him that year 100 talents of silver, and 10,000 cors of wheat and 10,000 of barley. The Ammonites paid him the same amount in the second and the third years. 6So Jotham became mighty, because he ordered his ways before the Lord his God. 7Now the rest of the acts of Jotham, and all his wars and his ways, behold, they are written in the Book of the Kings of Israel and Judah. 8He was twenty-five years old when he began to reign, and he reigned sixteen years in Jerusalem. 9And Jotham slept with his fathers, and they buried him in the city of David, and Ahaz his son reigned in his place.
