제 4 장

성전 안에 있는 물건들(왕상 7:23-51)

1   솔로몬이 또 놋으로 제단을 만들었으니 길이가 이십 규빗이요 너비가 이십 규빗이요 높이가 십 규빗이며

2   또 놋을 부어 바다를 만들었으니 지름이 십 규빗이요 그 모양이 둥글며 그 높이는 다섯 규빗이요 주위는 삼십 규빗 길이의 줄을 두를 만하며

3   그 가장자리 아래에는 돌아가며 1)소 형상이 있는데 각 규빗에 1)소가 열 마리씩 있어서 바다 주위에 둘렸으니 그 1)소는 바다를 부어 만들 때에 두 줄로 부어 만들었으며

4   그 바다를 놋쇠 황소 열두 마리가 받쳤으니 세 마리는 북쪽을 향하였고 세 마리는 서쪽을 향하였고 세 마리는 남쪽을 향하였고 세 마리는 동쪽을 향하였으며 바다를 그 위에 놓았고 1)소의 엉덩이는 다 안으로 향하였으며

5   바다의 두께는 한 손 너비만 하고 그 둘레는 잔 둘레와 같이 백합화의 모양으로 만들었으니 그 바다에는 삼천 밧을 담겠으며

6   또 물두멍 열 개를 만들어 다섯 개는 오른쪽에 두고 다섯 개는 왼쪽에 두어 씻게 하되 번제에 속한 물건을 거기서 씻게 하였으며 그 바다는 제사장들이 씻기 위한 것이더라

7   또 규례대로 금으로 등잔대 열 개를 만들어 내전 안에 두었으니 왼쪽에 다섯 개요 오른쪽에 다섯 개이며

8   또 상 열 개를 만들어 내전 안에 두었으니 왼쪽에 다섯 개요 오른쪽에 다섯 개이며 또 금으로 대접 백 개를 만들었고

9   또 제사장의 뜰과 큰 뜰과 뜰 문을 만들고 그 문짝에 놋을 입혔고

10   그 바다는 성전 오른쪽 동남방에 두었더라

11   후람이 또 솥과 부삽과 대접을 만들었더라 이와 같이 후람이 솔로몬 왕을 위하여 하나님의 성전에서 할 일을 마쳤으니

12   곧 기둥 둘과 그 기둥 꼭대기의 공 같은 머리 둘과 또 기둥 꼭대기의 공 같은 기둥 머리를 가리는 그물 둘과

13   또 그 그물들을 위하여 만든 각 그물에 두 줄씩으로 기둥 위의 공 같은 두 머리를 가리는 석류 사백 개와

14   또 받침과 받침 위의 물두멍과

15   2)한 바다와 그 바다 아래에 소 열두 마리와

16   솥과 부삽과 고기 갈고리와 여호와의 전의 모든 그릇들이라 후람의 아버지가 솔로몬 왕을 위하여 빛나는 놋으로 만들 때에

17   왕이 요단 평지에서 숙곳과 스레다 사이의 진흙에 그것들을 부어 내었더라

18   이와 같이 솔로몬이 이 모든 기구를 매우 많이 만들었으므로 그 놋 무게를 능히 측량할 수 없었더라

19   솔로몬이 또 하나님의 전의 모든 기구를 만들었으니 곧 금 제단과 진설병 상들과

20   지성소 앞에서 규례대로 불을 켤 순금 등잔대와 그 등잔이며

21   또 순수한 금으로 만든 꽃과 등잔과 부젓가락이며

22   또 순금으로 만든 불집게와 주발과 숟가락과 불 옮기는 그릇이며 또 성전 문 곧 지성소의 문과 내전의 문을 금으로 입혔더라

1Hizo además un altar de bronce de veinte codos de longitud, veinte codos de anchura, y diez codos de altura. 2También hizo un mar de fundición, el cual tenía diez codos de un borde al otro, enteramente redondo; su altura era de cinco codos, y un cordón de treinta codos de largo lo ceñía alrededor. 3Y debajo del mar había figuras de calabazas que lo circundaban, diez en cada codo alrededor; eran dos hileras de calabazas fundidas juntamente con el mar. 4Estaba asentado sobre doce bueyes, tres de los cuales miraban al norte, tres al occidente, tres al sur, y tres al oriente; y el mar descansaba sobre ellos, y las ancas de ellos estaban hacia adentro. 5Y tenía de grueso un palmo menor, y el borde tenía la forma del borde de un cáliz, o de una flor de lis. Y le cabían tres mil batos. 6Hizo también diez fuentes, y puso cinco a la derecha y cinco a la izquierda, para lavar y limpiar en ellas lo que se ofrecía en holocausto; pero el mar era para que los sacerdotes se lavaran en él.

7Hizo asimismo diez candeleros de oro según su forma, los cuales puso en el templo, cinco a la derecha y cinco a la izquierda. 8Además hizo diez mesas y las puso en el templo, cinco a la derecha y cinco a la izquierda; igualmente hizo cien tazones de oro. 9También hizo el atrio de los sacerdotes, y el gran atrio, y las portadas del atrio, y cubrió de bronce las puertas de ellas. 10Y colocó el mar al lado derecho, hacia el sureste de la casa.

11Hiram también hizo calderos, y palas, y tazones; y acabó Hiram la obra que hacía al rey Salomón para la casa de Dios. 12Dos columnas, y los cordones, los capiteles sobre las cabezas de las dos columnas, y dos redes para cubrir las dos esferas de los capiteles que estaban encima de las columnas; 13cuatrocientas granadas en las dos redes, dos hileras de granadas en cada red, para que cubriesen las dos esferas de los capiteles que estaban encima de las columnas. 14Hizo también las basas, sobre las cuales colocó las fuentes; 15un mar, y los doce bueyes debajo de él; 16y calderos, palas y garfios; de bronce muy fino hizo todos sus enseres Hiram-abi al rey Salomón para la casa de Jehová. 17Los fundió el rey en los llanos del Jordán, en tierra arcillosa, entre Sucot y Seredata. 18Y Salomón hizo todos estos enseres en número tan grande, que no pudo saberse el peso del bronce.

19Así hizo Salomón todos los utensilios para la casa de Dios, y el altar de oro, y las mesas sobre las cuales se ponían los panes de la proposición; 20asimismo los candeleros y sus lámparas, de oro puro, para que las encendiesen delante del lugar santísimo conforme a la ordenanza. 21Las flores, lamparillas y tenazas se hicieron de oro, de oro finísimo; 22también las despabiladeras, los lebrillos, las cucharas y los incensarios eran de oro puro. Y de oro también la entrada de la casa, sus puertas interiores para el lugar santísimo, y las puertas de la casa del templo.

The Temple’s Furnishings

1He made an altar of bronze, twenty cubits long and twenty cubits wide and ten cubits high. 2Then he made the sea of cast metal. It was round, ten cubits from brim to brim, and five cubits high, and a line of thirty cubits measured its circumference. 3Under it were figures of gourds, for ten cubits, compassing the sea all around. The gourds were in two rows, cast with it when it was cast. 4It stood on twelve oxen, three facing north, three facing west, three facing south, and three facing east. The sea was set on them, and all their rear parts were inward. 5Its thickness was a handbreadth. And its brim was made like the brim of a cup, like the flower of a lily. It held 3,000 baths. 6He also made ten basins in which to wash, and set five on the south side, and five on the north side. In these they were to rinse off what was used for the burnt offering, and the sea was for the priests to wash in.

7And he made ten golden lampstands as prescribed, and set them in the temple, five on the south side and five on the north. 8He also made ten tables and placed them in the temple, five on the south side and five on the north. And he made a hundred basins of gold. 9He made the court of the priests and the great court and doors for the court and overlaid their doors with bronze. 10And he set the sea at the southeast corner of the house.

11 Hiram also made the pots, the shovels, and the basins. So Hiram finished the work that he did for King Solomon on the house of God: 12the two pillars, the bowls, and the two capitals on the top of the pillars; and the two latticeworks to cover the two bowls of the capitals that were on the top of the pillars; 13and the 400 pomegranates for the two latticeworks, two rows of pomegranates for each latticework, to cover the two bowls of the capitals that were on the pillars. 14He made the stands also, and the basins on the stands, 15and the one sea, and the twelve oxen underneath it. 16The pots, the shovels, the forks, and all the equipment for these Huram-abi made of burnished bronze for King Solomon for the house of the Lord. 17In the plain of the Jordan the king cast them, in the clay ground between Succoth and Zeredah. 18Solomon made all these things in great quantities, for the weight of the bronze was not sought.

19So Solomon made all the vessels that were in the house of God: the golden altar, the tables for the bread of the Presence, 20the lampstands and their lamps of pure gold to burn before the inner sanctuary, as prescribed; 21the flowers, the lamps, and the tongs, of purest gold; 22the snuffers, basins, dishes for incense, and fire pans, of pure gold, and the sockets of the temple, for the inner doors to the Most Holy Place and for the doors of the nave of the temple were of gold.
