제 16 장

1 여호와의 말씀이 하나니의 아들 예후에게 임하여 바아사를 꾸짖어 이르시되

2 내가 너를 티끌에서 들어 내 백성 이스라엘 위에 주권자가 되게 하였거늘 네가 여로보암의 길로 행하며 내 백성 이스라엘에게 범죄하게 하여 그들의 죄로 나를 노엽게 하였은즉

3 내가 너 바아사와 네 집을 쓸어버려 네 집이 느밧의 아들 여로보암의 집 같이 되게 하리니

4 바아사에게 속한 자가 성읍에서 죽은즉 개가 먹고 그에게 속한 자가 들에서 죽은즉 공중의 새가 먹으리라 하셨더라

5 바아사의 남은 사적과 행한 모든 일과 권세는 이스라엘 왕 역대지략에 기록되지 아니하였느냐

6 바아사가 그의 조상들과 함께 자매 디르사에 장사되고 그의 아들 엘라가 대신하여 왕이 되니라

7 여호와의 말씀이 하나니의 아들 선지자 예후에게도 임하사 바아사와 그의 집을 꾸짖으심은 그가 여로보암의 집과 같이 여호와 보시기에 모든 악을 행하며 그의 손의 행위로 여호와를 노엽게 하였음이며 또 그의 집을 쳤음이더라

이스라엘 왕 엘라

8 유다의 아사 왕 제이십육년에 바아사의 아들 엘라가 디르사에서 이스라엘의 왕이 되어 이 년 동안 그 왕위에 있으니라

9 엘라가 디르사에 있어 왕궁 맡은 자 아르사의 집에서 마시고 취할 때에 그 신하 곧 병거 절반을 통솔한 지휘관 시므리가 왕을 모반하여

10 시므리가 들어가서 그를 쳐죽이고 그를 대신하여 왕이 되니 곧 유다의 아사 왕 제이십칠년이라

11 시므리가 왕이 되어 왕위에 오를 때에 바아사의 온 집안 사람들을 죽이되 남자는 그의 친족이든지 그의 친구든지 한 사람도 남기지 아니하고

12 바아사의 온 집을 멸하였는데 선지자 예후를 통하여 바아사를 꾸짖어 하신 여호와의 말씀 같이 되었으니

13 이는 바아사의 모든 죄와 그의 아들 엘라의 죄 때문이라 그들이 범죄하고 또 이스라엘에게 범죄하게 하여 그들의 헛된 것들로 이스라엘의 하나님 여호와를 노하시게 하였더라

14 엘라의 남은 사적과 행한 모든 일은 이스라엘 왕 역대지략에 기록되지 아니하였느냐

이스라엘 왕 시므리

15 유다의 아사 왕 제이십칠년에 시므리가 디르사에서 칠 일 동안 왕이 되니라 그 때에 백성들이 블레셋 사람에게 속한 깁브돈을 향하여 진을 치고 있더니

16 진중 백성들이 시므리가 모반하여 왕을 죽였다는 말을 들은지라 그 날에 이스라엘의 무리가 진에서 군대 지휘관 오므리를 이스라엘의 왕으로 삼으매

17 오므리가 이에 이스라엘의 무리를 거느리고 깁브돈에서부터 올라와서 디르사를 에워 쌌더라

18 시므리가 성읍이 함락됨을 보고 왕궁 요새에 들어가서 왕궁에 불을 지르고 그 가운데에서 죽었으니

19 이는 그가 여호와 보시기에 악을 행하여 범죄하였기 때문이니라 그가 여로보암의 길로 행하며 그가 이스라엘에게 죄를 범하게 한 그 죄 중에 행하였더라

20 시므리의 남은 행위와 그가 반역한 일은 이스라엘 왕 역대지략에 기록되지 아니하였느냐

이스라엘 왕 오므리

21 그 때에 이스라엘 백성이 둘로 나뉘어 그 절반은 기낫의 아들 디브니를 따라 그를 왕으로 삼으려 하고 그 절반은 오므리를 따랐더니

22 오므리를 따른 백성이 기낫의 아들 디브니를 따른 백성을 이긴지라 디브니가 죽으매 오므리가 왕이 되니라

23 유다의 아사 왕 제삼십일년에 오므리가 이스라엘의 왕이 되어 십이 년 동안 왕위에 있으며 디르사에서 육 년 동안 다스리니라

24 그가 은 두 달란트로 세멜에게서 사마리아 산을 사고 그 산 위에 성읍을 건축하고 그 건축한 성읍 이름을 그 산 주인이었던 세멜의 이름을 따라 사마리아라 일컬었더라

25 오므리가 여호와 보시기에 악을 행하되 그 전의 모든 사람보다 더욱 악하게 행하여

26 느밧의 아들 여로보암의 모든 길로 행하며 그가 이스라엘에게 죄를 범하게 한 그 죄 중에 행하여 그들의 헛된 것들로 이스라엘의 하나님 여호와를 노하시게 하였더라

27 오므리가 행한 그 남은 사적과 그가 부린 권세는 이스라엘 왕 역대지략에 기록되지 아니하였느냐

28 오므리가 그의 조상들과 함께 자매 사마리아에 장사되고 그의 아들 아합이 대신하여 왕이 되니라

이스라엘 왕 아합

29 유다의 아사 왕 제삼십팔년에 오므리의 아들 아합이 이스라엘의 왕이 되니라 오므리의 아들 아합이 사마리아에서 이십이 년 동안 이스라엘을 다스리니라

30 오므리의 아들 아합이 그의 이전의 모든 사람보다 여호와 보시기에 악을 더욱 행하여

31 느밧의 아들 여로보암의 죄를 따라 행하는 것을 오히려 가볍게 여기며 시돈 사람의 왕 엣바알의 딸 이세벨을 아내로 삼고 가서 바알을 섬겨 예배하고

32 사마리아에 건축한 바알의 신전 안에 바알을 위하여 제단을 쌓으며

33 또 아세라 상을 만들었으니 그는 그 이전의 이스라엘의 모든 왕보다 심히 이스라엘 하나님 여호와를 노하시게 하였더라

34 그 시대에 벧엘 사람 히엘이 여리고를 건축하였는데 그가 그 터를 쌓을 때에 맏아들 아비람을 잃었고 그 성문을 세울 때에 막내 아들 스굽을 잃었으니 여호와께서 눈의 아들 여호수아를 통하여 하신 말씀과 같이 되었더라

Por cuanto yo te levanté del polvo y te puse por príncipe sobre mi pueblo Israel, y has andado en el camino de Jeroboam, y has hecho pecar a mi pueblo Israel, provocándome a ira con tus pecados; 3. he aquí yo barreré la posteridad de Baasa, y la posteridad de su casa; y pondré su casa como la casa de Jeroboam hijo de Nabat. 4. El que de Baasa fuere muerto en la ciudad, lo comerán los perros; y el que de él fuere muerto en el campo, lo comerán las aves del cielo. 5. Los demás hechos de Baasa, y las cosas que hizo, y su poderío, ¿no está todo escrito en el libro de las crónicas de los reyes de Israel? 6. Y durmió Baasa con sus padres, y fue sepultado en Tirsa, y reinó en su lugar Ela su hijo. 7. Pero la palabra de Jehová por el profeta Jehú hijo de Hanani había sido contra Baasa y también contra su casa, con motivo de todo lo malo que hizo ante los ojos de Jehová, provocándole a ira con las obras de sus manos, para que fuese hecha como la casa de Jeroboam; y porque la había destruido. Reinados de Ela y de Zimri 8. En el año veintiséis de Asa rey de Judá comenzó a reinar Ela hijo de Baasa sobre Israel en Tirsa; y reinó dos años. 9. Y conspiró contra él su siervo Zimri, comandante de la mitad de los carros. Y estando él en Tirsa, bebiendo y embriagado en casa de Arsa su mayordomo en Tirsa, 10. vino Zimri y lo hirió y lo mató, en el año veintisiete de Asa rey de Judá; y reinó en lugar suyo. 11. Y luego que llegó a reinar y estuvo sentado en su trono, mató a toda la casa de Baasa, sin dejar en ella varón, ni parientes ni amigos. 12. Así exterminó Zimri a toda la casa de Baasa, conforme a la palabra que Jehová había proferido contra Baasa por medio del profeta Jehú, 13. por todos los pecados de Baasa y los pecados de Ela su hijo, con los cuales ellos pecaron e hicieron pecar a Israel, provocando a enojo con sus vanidades a Jehová Dios de Israel. 14. En el año veintisiete de Asa rey de Judá, comenzó a reinar Zimri, y reinó siete días en Tirsa; y el pueblo había acampado contra Gibetón, ciudad de los filisteos. 16. Y el pueblo que estaba en el campamento oyó decir: Zimri ha conspirado, y ha dado muerte al rey. Entonces todo Israel puso aquel mismo día por rey sobre Israel a Omri, general del ejército, en el campo de batalla. 17. Y subió Omri de Gibetón, y con él todo Israel, y sitiaron a Tirsa. 18. Mas viendo Zimri tomada la ciudad, se metió en el palacio de la casa real, y prendió fuego a la casa consigo; y así murió, 19. por los pecados que había cometido, haciendo lo malo ante los ojos de Jehová, y andando en los caminos de Jeroboam, y en su pecado que cometió, haciendo pecar a Israel. 20. El resto de los hechos de Zimri, y la conspiración que hizo, ¿no está todo escrito en el libro de las crónicas de los reyes de Israel? Reinado de Omri 21. Entonces el pueblo de Israel fue dividido en dos partes: la mitad del pueblo seguía a Tibni hijo de Ginat para hacerlo rey, y la otra mitad seguía a Omri. 22. Mas el pueblo que seguía a Omri pudo más que el que seguía a Tibni hijo de Ginat; y Tibni murió, y Omri fue rey. 23. En el año treinta y uno de Asa rey de Judá, comenzó a reinar Omri sobre Israel, y reinó doce años; en Tirsa reinó seis años. 24. Y Omri compró a Semer el monte de Samaria por dos talentos de plata, y edificó en el monte; y llamó el nombre de la ciudad que edificó, Samaria, del nombre de Semer, que fue dueño de aquel monte. 25. Y Omri hizo lo malo ante los ojos de Jehová, e hizo peor que todos los que habían reinado antes de él; 26. pues anduvo en todos los caminos de Jeroboam hijo de Nabat, y en el pecado con el cual hizo pecar a Israel, provocando a ira a Jehová Dios de Israel con sus ídolos. 27. Y Omri durmió con sus padres, y fue sepultado en Samaria, y reinó en lugar suyo Acab su hijo. Reinado de Acab 29. Comenzó a reinar Acab hijo de Omri sobre Israel el año treinta y ocho de Asa rey de Judá. 30. Y reinó Acab hijo de Omri sobre Israel en Samaria veintidós años. Y Acab hijo de Omri hizo lo malo ante los ojos de Jehová, más que todos los que reinaron antes de él. 31. Porque le fue ligera cosa andar en los pecados de Jeroboam hijo de Nabat, y tomó por mujer a Jezabel, hija de Et-baal rey de los sidonios, y fue y sirvió a Baal, y lo adoró. 32. Hizo también Acab una imagen de Asera, haciendo así Acab más que todos los reyes de Israel que reinaron antes que él, para provocar la ira de Jehová Dios de Israel. 34. And the word of the Lord came to Jehu the son of Hanani against Baasha, saying, 2. “Since I exalted you out of the dust and made you leader over my people Israel, and you have walked in the way of Jeroboam and have made my people Israel to sin, provoking me to anger with their sins, 3. behold, I will utterly sweep away Baasha and his house, and I will make your house like the house of Jeroboam the son of Nebat. 4. Anyone belonging to Baasha who dies in the city the dogs shall eat, and anyone of his who dies in the field the birds of the heavens shall eat.” 5. Now the rest of the acts of Baasha and what he did, and his might, are they not written in the Book of the Chronicles of the Kings of Israel? 6. And Baasha slept with his fathers and was buried at Tirzah, and Elah his son reigned in his place. 7. Moreover, the word of the Lord came by the prophet Jehu the son of Hanani against Baasha and his house, both because of all the evil that he did in the sight of the Lord, provoking him to anger with the work of his hands, in being like the house of Jeroboam, and also because he destroyed it. Elah Reigns in Israel 8. In the twenty-sixth year of Asa king of Judah, Elah the son of Baasha began to reign over Israel in Tirzah, and he reigned two years. 9. But his servant Zimri, commander of half his chariots, conspired against him. When he was at Tirzah, drinking himself drunk in the house of Arza, who was over the household in Tirzah, 10. Zimri came in and struck him down and killed him, in the twenty-seventh year of Asa king of Judah, and reigned in his place. 11. When he began to reign, as soon as he had seated himself on his throne, he struck down all the house of Baasha. He did not leave him a single male of his relatives or his friends. 12. Thus Zimri destroyed all the house of Baasha, according to the word of the Lord, which he spoke against Baasha by Jehu the prophet, 13. for all the sins of Baasha and the sins of Elah his son, which they sinned and which they made Israel to sin, provoking the Lord God of Israel to anger with their idols. 14. Now the rest of the acts of Elah and all that he did, are they not written in the Book of the Chronicles of the Kings of Israel? Zimri Reigns in Israel 15. In the twenty-seventh year of Asa king of Judah, Zimri reigned seven days in Tirzah. Now the troops were encamped against Gibbethon, which belonged to the Philistines, 16. and the troops who were encamped heard it said, “Zimri has conspired, and he has killed the king.” Therefore all Israel made Omri, the commander of the army, king over Israel that day in the camp. 17. So Omri went up from Gibbethon, and all Israel with him, and they besieged Tirzah. 18. And when Zimri saw that the city was taken, he went into the citadel of the king’s house and burned the king’s house over him with fire and died, 19. because of his sins that he committed, doing evil in the sight of the Lord, walking in the way of Jeroboam, and for his sin which he committed, making Israel to sin. 20. Now the rest of the acts of Zimri, and the conspiracy that he made, are they not written in the Book of the Chronicles of the Kings of Israel? Omri Reigns in Israel 21. Then the people of Israel were divided into two parts. Half of the people followed Tibni the son of Ginath, to make him king, and half followed Omri. 22. But the people who followed Omri overcame the people who followed Tibni the son of Ginath. So Tibni died, and Omri became king. 23. In the thirty-first year of Asa king of Judah, Omri began to reign over Israel, and he reigned for twelve years; six years he reigned in Tirzah. 24. He bought the hill of Samaria from Shemer for two talents of silver, and he fortified the hill and called the name of the city that he built Samaria, after the name of Shemer, the owner of the hill. 25. Omri did what was evil in the sight of the Lord, and did more evil than all who were before him. 26. For he walked in all the way of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, and in the sins that he made Israel to sin, provoking the Lord, the God of Israel, to anger by their idols. 27. Now the rest of the acts of Omri that he did, and the might that he showed, are they not written in the Book of the Chronicles of the Kings of Israel? 28. And Omri slept with his fathers and was buried in Samaria, and Ahab his son reigned in his place. Ahab Reigns in Israel 29. In the thirty-eighth year of Asa king of Judah, Ahab the son of Omri began to reign over Israel, and Ahab the son of Omri reigned over Israel in Samaria twenty-two years. 30. And Ahab the son of Omri did evil in the sight of the Lord, more than all who were before him. 31. And as if it had been a light thing for him to walk in the sins of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, he took for his wife Jezebel the daughter of Ethbaal king of the Sidonians, and went and served Baal and worshiped him. 32. He erected an altar for Baal in the house of Baal, which he built in Samaria. 33. And Ahab made an Asherah. Ahab did more to provoke the Lord, the God of Israel, to anger than all the kings of Israel who were before him. 34. In his days Hiel of Bethel built Jericho. He laid its foundation at the cost of Abiram his firstborn, and set up its gates at the cost of his youngest son Segub, according to the word of the Lord, which he spoke by Joshua the son of Nun.

Pero la palabra de Jehová por el profeta Jehú hijo de Hanani había sido contra Baasa y también contra su casa, con motivo de todo lo malo que hizo ante los ojos de Jehová, provocándole a ira con las obras de sus manos, para que fuese hecha como la casa de Jeroboam; y porque la había destruido.

Reinados de Ela y de Zimri
En el año veintiséis de Asa rey de Judá comenzó a reinar Ela hijo de Baasa sobre Israel en Tirsa; y reinó dos años.
Y conspiró contra él su siervo Zimri, comandante de la mitad de los carros. Y estando él en Tirsa, bebiendo y embriagado en casa de Arsa su mayordomo en Tirsa,
vino Zimri y lo hirió y lo mató, en el año veintisiete de Asa rey de Judá; y reinó en lugar suyo.
Y luego que llegó a reinar y estuvo sentado en su trono, mató a toda la casa de Baasa, sin dejar en ella varón, ni parientes ni amigos.
Así exterminó Zimri a toda la casa de Baasa, conforme a la palabra que Jehová había proferido contra Baasa por medio del profeta Jehú,
por todos los pecados de Baasa y los pecados de Ela su hijo, con los cuales ellos pecaron e hicieron pecar a Israel, provocando a enojo con sus vanidades a Jehová Dios de Israel.
Los demás hechos de Ela, y todo lo que hizo, ¿no está todo escrito en el libro de las crónicas de los reyes de Israel?
En el año veintisiete de Asa rey de Judá, comenzó a reinar Zimri, y reinó siete días en Tirsa; y el pueblo había acampado contra Gibetón, ciudad de los filisteos.
Y el pueblo que estaba en el campamento oyó decir: Zimri ha conspirado, y ha dado muerte al rey. Entonces todo Israel puso aquel mismo día por rey sobre Israel a Omri, general del ejército, en el campo de batalla.
Y subió Omri de Gibetón, y con él todo Israel, y sitiaron a Tirsa.
Mas viendo Zimri tomada la ciudad, se metió en el palacio de la casa real, y prendió fuego a la casa consigo; y así murió,
por los pecados que había cometido, haciendo lo malo ante los ojos de Jehová, y andando en los caminos de Jeroboam, y en su pecado que cometió, haciendo pecar a Israel.
El resto de los hechos de Zimri, y la conspiración que hizo, ¿no está todo escrito en el libro de las crónicas de los reyes de Israel?

Reinado de Omri
Entonces el pueblo de Israel fue dividido en dos partes: la mitad del pueblo seguía a Tibni hijo de Ginat para hacerlo rey, y la otra mitad seguía a Omri.
Mas el pueblo que seguía a Omri pudo más que el que seguía a Tibni hijo de Ginat; y Tibni murió, y Omri fue rey.
En el año treinta y uno de Asa rey de Judá, comenzó a reinar Omri sobre Israel, y reinó doce años; en Tirsa reinó seis años.
Y Omri compró a Semer el monte de Samaria por dos talentos de plata, y edificó en el monte; y llamó el nombre de la ciudad que edificó, Samaria, del nombre de Semer, que fue dueño de aquel monte.
Y Omri hizo lo malo ante los ojos de Jehová, e hizo peor que todos los que habían reinado antes de él;
pues anduvo en todos los caminos de Jeroboam hijo de Nabat, y en el pecado con el cual hizo pecar a Israel, provocando a ira a Jehová Dios de Israel con sus ídolos.
Los demás hechos de Omri, y todo lo que hizo, y las valentías que ejecutó, ¿no está todo escrito en el libro de las crónicas de los reyes de Israel?
Y Omri durmió con sus padres, y fue sepultado en Samaria, y reinó en lugar suyo Acab su hijo.

Reinado de Acab
Comenzó a reinar Acab hijo de Omri sobre Israel el año treinta y ocho de Asa rey de Judá.
Y reinó Acab hijo de Omri sobre Israel en Samaria veintidós años. Y Acab hijo de Omri hizo lo malo ante los ojos de Jehová, más que todos los que reinaron antes de él.
Porque le fue ligera cosa andar en los pecados de Jeroboam hijo de Nabat, y tomó por mujer a Jezabel, hija de Et-baal rey de los sidonios, y fue y sirvió a Baal, y lo adoró.
E hizo altar a Baal, en el templo de Baal que él edificó en Samaria.
Hizo también Acab una imagen de Asera, haciendo así Acab más que todos los reyes de Israel que reinaron antes que él, para provocar la ira de Jehová Dios de Israel.
En su tiempo Hiel de Bet-el reedificó a Jericó. A precio de la vida de Abiram su primogénito echó el cimiento, y a precio de la vida de Segub su hijo menor puso sus puertas, conforme a la palabra que Jehová había hablado por Josué hijo de Nun.

And the word of the Lord came to Jehu the son of Hanani against Baasha, saying,
“Since I exalted you out of the dust and made you leader over my people Israel, and you have walked in the way of Jeroboam and have made my people Israel to sin, provoking me to anger with their sins,
behold, I will utterly sweep away Baasha and his house, and I will make your house like the house of Jeroboam the son of Nebat.
Anyone belonging to Baasha who dies in the city the dogs shall eat, and anyone of his who dies in the field the birds of the heavens shall eat.”
Now the rest of the acts of Baasha and what he did, and his might, are they not written in the Book of the Chronicles of the Kings of Israel?
And Baasha slept with his fathers and was buried at Tirzah, and Elah his son reigned in his place.
Moreover, the word of the Lord came by the prophet Jehu the son of Hanani against Baasha and his house, both because of all the evil that he did in the sight of the Lord, provoking him to anger with the work of his hands, in being like the house of Jeroboam, and also because he destroyed it.

Elah Reigns in Israel
In the twenty-sixth year of Asa king of Judah, Elah the son of Baasha began to reign over Israel in Tirzah, and he reigned two years.
But his servant Zimri, commander of half his chariots, conspired against him. When he was at Tirzah, drinking himself drunk in the house of Arza, who was over the household in Tirzah,
Zimri came in and struck him down and killed him, in the twenty-seventh year of Asa king of Judah, and reigned in his place.
When he began to reign, as soon as he had seated himself on his throne, he struck down all the house of Baasha. He did not leave him a single male of his relatives or his friends.
Thus Zimri destroyed all the house of Baasha, according to the word of the Lord, which he spoke against Baasha by Jehu the prophet,
for all the sins of Baasha and the sins of Elah his son, which they sinned and which they made Israel to sin, provoking the Lord God of Israel to anger with their idols.

Zimri Reigns in Israel
In the twenty-seventh year of Asa king of Judah, Zimri reigned seven days in Tirzah. Now the troops were encamped against Gibbethon, which belonged to the Philistines,
and the troops who were encamped heard it said, “Zimri has conspired, and he has killed the king.” Therefore all Israel made Omri, the commander of the army, king over Israel that day in the camp.
So Omri went up from Gibbethon, and all Israel with him, and they besieged Tirzah.
And when Zimri saw that the city was taken, he went into the citadel of the king’s house and burned the king’s house over him with fire and died,
because of his sins that he committed, doing evil in the sight of the Lord, walking in the way of Jeroboam, and for his sin which he committed, making Israel to sin.

Omri Reigns in Israel
Then the people of Israel were divided into two parts. Half of the people followed Tibni the son of Ginath, to make him king, and half followed Omri.
But the people who followed Omri overcame the people who followed Tibni the son of Ginath. So Tibni died, and Omri became king.
In the thirty-first year of Asa king of Judah, Omri began to reign over Israel, and he reigned for twelve years; six years he reigned in Tirzah.
He bought the hill of Samaria from Shemer for two talents of silver, and he fortified the hill and called the name of the city that he built Samaria, after the name of Shemer, the owner of the hill.
Omri did what was evil in the sight of the Lord, and did more evil than all who were before him.
For he walked in all the way of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, and in the sins that he made Israel to sin, provoking the Lord, the God of Israel, to anger by their idols.
Now the rest of the acts of Omri that he did, and the might that he showed, are they not written in the Book of the Chronicles of the Kings of Israel?
And Omri slept with his fathers and was buried in Samaria, and Ahab his son reigned in his place.

Ahab Reigns in Israel
In the thirty-eighth year of Asa king of Judah, Ahab the son of Omri began to reign over Israel, and Ahab the son of Omri reigned over Israel in Samaria twenty-two years.
And Ahab the son of Omri did evil in the sight of the Lord, more than all who were before him.
And as if it had been a light thing for him to walk in the sins of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, he took for his wife Jezebel the daughter of Ethbaal king of the Sidonians, and went and served Baal and worshiped him.
He erected an altar for Baal in the house of Baal, which he built in Samaria.
And Ahab made an Asherah. Ahab did more to provoke the Lord, the God of Israel, to anger than all the kings of Israel who were before him.
In his days Hiel of Bethel built Jericho. He laid its foundation at the cost of Abiram his firstborn, and set up its gates at the cost of his youngest son Segub, according to the word of the Lord, which he spoke by Joshua the son of Nun.
