제 21 장
유다 왕 므낫세(대하 33:1-20)
1 므낫세가 왕이 될 때에 나이가 십이 세라 예루살렘에서 오십오 년간 다스리니라 그의 어머니의 이름은 헵시바더라
2 므낫세가 여호와 보시기에 악을 행하여 여호와께서 이스라엘 자손 앞에서 쫓아내신 이방 사람의 가증한 일을 따라서
3 그의 아버지 히스기야가 헐어 버린 산당들을 다시 세우며 이스라엘의 왕 아합의 행위를 따라 바알을 위하여 제단을 쌓으며 아세라 목상을 만들며 하늘의 일월 성신을 경배하여 섬기며
4 여호와께서 전에 이르시기를 내가 내 이름을 예루살렘에 두리라 하신 여호와의 성전에 제단들을 쌓고
5 또 여호와의 성전 두 마당에 하늘의 일월 성신을 위하여 제단들을 쌓고
6 또 자기의 아들을 불 가운데로 지나게 하며 점치며 사술을 행하며 신접한 자와 박수를 신임하여 여호와께서 보시기에 악을 많이 행하여 그 진노를 일으켰으며
7 또 자기가 만든 아로새긴 아세라 목상을 성전에 세웠더라 옛적에 여호와께서 이 성전에 대하여 다윗과 그의 아들 솔로몬에게 이르시기를 내가 이스라엘의 모든 지파 중에서 택한 이 성전과 예루살렘에 내 이름을 영원히 둘지라
8 만일 이스라엘이 나의 모든 명령과 나의 종 모세가 명령한 모든 율법을 지켜 행하면 내가 그들의 발로 다시는 그의 조상들에게 준 땅에서 떠나 유리하지 아니하게 하리라 하셨으나
9 이 백성이 듣지 아니하였고 므낫세의 꾐을 받고 악을 행한 것이 여호와께서 이스라엘 자손 앞에서 멸하신 여러 민족보다 더 심하였더라
10 여호와께서 그의 종 모든 선지자들을 통하여 말씀하여 이르시되
11 유다 왕 므낫세가 이 가증한 일과 악을 행함이 그 전에 있던 아모리 사람들의 행위보다 더욱 심하였고 또 그들의 우상으로 유다를 범죄하게 하였도다
12 그러므로 이스라엘의 하나님 여호와가 말하노니 내가 이제 예루살렘과 유다에 재앙을 내리리니 듣는 자마다 두 귀가 울리리라
13 내가 사마리아를 잰 줄과 아합의 집을 다림 보던 추를 예루살렘에 베풀고 또 사람이 그릇을 씻어 엎음 같이 예루살렘을 씻어 버릴지라
14 내가 나의 기업에서 남은 자들을 버려 그들의 원수의 손에 넘긴즉 그들이 모든 원수에게 노략거리와 겁탈거리가 되리니
15 이는 애굽에서 나온 그의 조상 때부터 오늘까지 내가 보기에 악을 행하여 나의 진노를 일으켰음이니라 하셨더라
16 므낫세가 유다에게 범죄하게 하여 여호와께서 보시기에 악을 행한 것 외에도 또 무죄한 자의 피를 심히 많이 흘려 예루살렘 이 끝에서 저 끝까지 가득하게 하였더라
17 므낫세의 남은 사적과 그가 행한 모든 일과 범한 죄는 유다 왕 역대지략에 기록되지 아니하였느냐
18 므낫세가 그의 조상들과 함께 자매 그의 궁궐 동산 곧 웃사의 동산에 장사되고 그의 아들 아몬이 대신하여 왕이 되니라
유다 왕 아몬(대하 33:21-25)
19 아몬이 왕이 될 때에 나이가 이십이 세라 예루살렘에서 이 년간 다스리니라 그의 어머니의 이름은 므술레멧이요 욧바 하루스의 딸이더라
20 아몬이 그의 아버지 므낫세의 행함 같이 여호와 보시기에 악을 행하되
21 그의 아버지가 행한 모든 길로 행하여 그의 아버지가 섬기던 우상을 섬겨 그것들에게 경배하고
22 그의 조상들의 하나님 여호와를 버리고 그 길로 행하지 아니하더니
23 그의 신복들이 그에게 반역하여 왕을 궁중에서 죽이매
24 그 국민이 아몬 왕을 반역한 사람들을 다 죽이고 그의 아들 요시야를 대신하게 하여 왕을 삼았더라
25 아몬이 행한 바 남은 사적은 유다 왕 역대지략에 기록되지 아니하였느냐
26 아몬이 웃사의 동산 자기 묘실에 장사되고 그의 아들 요시야가 대신하여 왕이 되니라

Reinado de Manasés
(2 Cr. 33.1-20)
De doce años era Manasés cuando comenzó a reinar, y reinó en Jerusalén cincuenta y cinco años; el nombre de su madre fue Hepsiba.
E hizo lo malo ante los ojos de Jehová, según las abominaciones de las naciones que Jehová había echado de delante de los hijos de Israel.
Porque volvió a edificar los lugares altos que Ezequías su padre había derribado, y levantó altares a Baal, e hizo una imagen de Asera, como había hecho Acab rey de Israel; y adoró a todo el ejército de los cielos, y rindió culto a aquellas cosas.
Asimismo edificó altares en la casa de Jehová, de la cual Jehová había dicho: Yo pondré mi nombre en Jerusalén.
Y edificó altares para todo el ejército de los cielos en los dos atrios de la casa de Jehová.
Y pasó a su hijo por fuego, y se dio a observar los tiempos, y fue agorero, e instituyó encantadores y adivinos, multiplicando así el hacer lo malo ante los ojos de Jehová, para provocarlo a ira.
Y puso una imagen de Asera que él había hecho, en la casa de la cual Jehová había dicho a David y a Salomón su hijo: Yo pondré mi nombre para siempre en esta casa, y en Jerusalén, a la cual escogí de todas las tribus de Israel;
y no volveré a hacer que el pie de Israel sea movido de la tierra que di a sus padres, con tal que guarden y hagan conforme a todas las cosas que yo les he mandado, y conforme a toda la ley que mi siervo Moisés les mandó.
Mas ellos no escucharon; y Manasés los indujo a que hiciesen más mal que las naciones que Jehová destruyó delante de los hijos de Israel.
Habló, pues, Jehová por medio de sus siervos los profetas, diciendo:
Por cuanto Manasés rey de Judá ha hecho estas abominaciones, y ha hecho más mal que todo lo que hicieron los amorreos que fueron antes de él, y también ha hecho pecar a Judá con sus ídolos;
por tanto, así ha dicho Jehová el Dios de Israel: He aquí yo traigo tal mal sobre Jerusalén y sobre Judá, que al que lo oyere le retiñirán ambos oídos.
Y extenderé sobre Jerusalén el cordel de Samaria y la plomada de la casa de Acab; y limpiaré a Jerusalén como se limpia un plato, que se friega y se vuelve boca abajo.
Y desampararé el resto de mi heredad, y lo entregaré en manos de sus enemigos; y serán para presa y despojo de todos sus adversarios;
por cuanto han hecho lo malo ante mis ojos, y me han provocado a ira, desde el día que sus padres salieron de Egipto hasta hoy.
Fuera de esto, derramó Manasés mucha sangre inocente en gran manera, hasta llenar a Jerusalén de extremo a extremo; además de su pecado con que hizo pecar a Judá, para que hiciese lo malo ante los ojos de Jehová.
Los demás hechos de Manasés, y todo lo que hizo, y el pecado que cometió, ¿no está todo escrito en el libro de las crónicas de los reyes de Judá?
Y durmió Manasés con sus padres, y fue sepultado en el huerto de su casa, en el huerto de Uza, y reinó en su lugar Amón su hijo.
Reinado de Amón
(2 Cr. 33.21-25)
De veintidós años era Amón cuando comenzó a reinar, y reinó dos años en Jerusalén. El nombre de su madre fue Mesulemet hija de Haruz, de Jotba.
E hizo lo malo ante los ojos de Jehová, como había hecho Manasés su padre.
Y anduvo en todos los caminos en que su padre anduvo, y sirvió a los ídolos a los cuales había servido su padre, y los adoró;
y dejó a Jehová el Dios de sus padres, y no anduvo en el camino de Jehová.
Y los siervos de Amón conspiraron contra él, y mataron al rey en su casa.
Entonces el pueblo de la tierra mató a todos los que habían conspirado contra el rey Amón; y puso el pueblo de la tierra por rey en su lugar a Josías su hijo.
Los demás hechos de Amón, ¿no están todos escritos en el libro de las crónicas de los reyes de Judá?
Y fue sepultado en su sepulcro en el huerto de Uza, y reinó en su lugar Josías su hijo.

Manasseh Reigns in Judah
Manasseh was twelve years old when he began to reign, and he reigned fifty-five years in Jerusalem. His mother’s name was Hephzibah.
And he did what was evil in the sight of the Lord, according to the despicable practices of the nations whom the Lord drove out before the people of Israel.
For he rebuilt the high places that Hezekiah his father had destroyed, and he erected altars for Baal and made an Asherah, as Ahab king of Israel had done, and worshiped all the host of heaven and served them.
And he built altars in the house of the Lord, of which the Lord had said, “In Jerusalem will I put my name.”
And he built altars for all the host of heaven in the two courts of the house of the Lord.
And he burned his son as an offering and used fortune-telling and omens and dealt with mediums and with necromancers. He did much evil in the sight of the Lord, provoking him to anger.
And the carved image of Asherah that he had made he set in the house of which the Lord said to David and to Solomon his son, “In this house, and in Jerusalem, which I have chosen out of all the tribes of Israel, I will put my name forever.
And I will not cause the feet of Israel to wander anymore out of the land that I gave to their fathers, if only they will be careful to do according to all that I have commanded them, and according to all the Law that my servant Moses commanded them.”
But they did not listen, and Manasseh led them astray to do more evil than the nations had done whom the Lord destroyed before the people of Israel.
Manasseh’s Idolatry Denounced
And the Lord said by his servants the prophets,
“Because Manasseh king of Judah has committed these abominations and has done things more evil than all that the Amorites did, who were before him, and has made Judah also to sin with his idols,
therefore thus says the Lord, the God of Israel: Behold, I am bringing upon Jerusalem and Judah such disaster that the ears of everyone who hears of it will tingle.
And I will stretch over Jerusalem the measuring line of Samaria, and the plumb line of the house of Ahab, and I will wipe Jerusalem as one wipes a dish, wiping it and turning it upside down.
And I will forsake the remnant of my heritage and give them into the hand of their enemies, and they shall become a prey and a spoil to all their enemies,
because they have done what is evil in my sight and have provoked me to anger, since the day their fathers came out of Egypt, even to this day.”
Moreover, Manasseh shed very much innocent blood, till he had filled Jerusalem from one end to another, besides the sin that he made Judah to sin so that they did what was evil in the sight of the Lord.
Now the rest of the acts of Manasseh and all that he did, and the sin that he committed, are they not written in the Book of the Chronicles of the Kings of Judah?
And Manasseh slept with his fathers and was buried in the garden of his house, in the garden of Uzza, and Amon his son reigned in his place.
Amon Reigns in Judah
Amon was twenty-two years old when he began to reign, and he reigned two years in Jerusalem. His mother’s name was Meshullemeth the daughter of Haruz of Jotbah.
And he did what was evil in the sight of the Lord, as Manasseh his father had done.
He walked in all the way in which his father walked and served the idols that his father served and worshiped them.
He abandoned the Lord, the God of his fathers, and did not walk in the way of the Lord.
And the servants of Amon conspired against him and put the king to death in his house.
But the people of the land struck down all those who had conspired against King Amon, and the people of the land made Josiah his son king in his place.
Now the rest of the acts of Amon that he did, are they not written in the Book of the Chronicles of the Kings of Judah?
And he was buried in his tomb in the garden of Uzza, and Josiah his son reigned in his place.
